Beetlekit flinched, backing up a few steps and looking at his littermates. He hadn't meant for Lavenderkit to get hurt! He raised one paw slightly to go over and apoligize but the guilt made his paws stick the the ground as he looked away. He really hadnt mean't to hurt Lavenderkit!

As Quietkit reached out to grapple Lavenderkit with his forepaws he saw Beetlkit's paws also connect. The combined force of both kits pressing into the black pawed tom sent him tumbling. Quietkit managed to grind to a halt slowly flinching as he heard his brother protesting that they had hurt him. Unsure what to do the grey furred tom shuffled his paws nervously for a few moments until he heard Flamekit tell the duo to continue playing. He turned towards Beetlekit who looked like he was feeling similarly guilty. "Sorry Lavenderkit...We both are I mean."

Taking a feeble pawstep away from the situation Quietkit brushed his tail over the black and grey fur of Beetlekit to reassure him things would be okay. "How about you be the warrior and I'll be the badger?" It was hard for the striped tom to take his mind off Lavenderkit, but distracting Beetlekit seemed to distract Quietkit form his worries also. What does a badger even look like? As he thought this Lavenderkit came over and gave Beetlekit a hug, which helped to reassure Quietkit that his brother was fine. He had chosen to be a warrior earlier in part because he had no earthly idea what a badger even was. He closed his eyes trying to picture one but all that came to mind was dark shadowy creatures with large claws.

As he was lost in thought the cool minty scent of his mother flowed into the den. When his eyes opened he saw she was carrying some kind of bird in between her teeth. "Is that a badger mom?" Quietkit blurted the words out, his head looking up at her expectantly. His tail was raised and his one good amber eye was glossed over with curiosity.

Beetlekit looked over at Quietkit and nodded, hugging Lavenderkit back and licking his littermate's ear. He wished he could say 'I'm sorry' a millon times over but he knew it wouldn't work. Backing up a step, he looked at Flamekit as well. He loved his littermates. Turning his gaze to Quietkit asking their mother something he also looked at her. He assumed a badger was a scary thing. Although he got slightly distracted as a small beetle crawled over his paws. Beetle's were cute!

Ashflight was taking a quick snooze in the clearing, his tail resting around his body. He was peaceful.

Crowfoot was cleaning his thick fur as he took this time also quietly observe the camp.

Flamekit sat down, still thinking. What if Iḿ such a bad apprentice I can be a warrior because I stop to check if a cats ok? That would be really bad.

The small tom lifted his head shakily to meet the warrior's eyes. He met the warrior's questions with slow, slurred words.

``I- I'm not hurt, no. Not hurt, not hurt. I- don't know what happened or where I was.. Was I gone very long? Gee- I'm not even sure how I got back here.

The kit's high-pitched voice was panicked as he spoke. What had happened? And why couldn't he remember?

Driftpaw watched the clearing.

Waspkit ran in circles.

Twigkit sat in a corner with his leaf.

Fire Hawk watched around, then sat in a place apart sharpening his claws

"Th-Thank you, Twilightstar. I shall focus on the kits." With that, she scurried out of the den back to the nursery. She hated to be away from them too long.

Doekit

The small tabby had been excitedly waiting for Cowpaw to bring her the flower, not moving a single inch lest he reprimand her. She didn't want that. She was good! As he came back out, the medicine cat spoke to her about him having an apprentice and what he said made her tear up, but not in a bad way. "Oh, thank you, Mr. Cowpaw!! Thank you very much!" She mewed excitedly, giving him a small hug before sitting back down and watching him shake the poppy flower. Doekit gently took the flower in her jaws before shaking it as Cowpaw had shown her. The rattle of the plant quieted slightly as the much looser seeds fell out, before bouncing gently away. Thankfully not too far, though. She trilled excitedly around the stem as she watched them go.

Gingerheart

The ginger she-cat nodded as Cowpaw spoke. Walks, grounding techniques. Okay. I can manage this. She smiled for the what felt to be the first time since her kits were born. "Thank you very much, Cowpaw. This will hopefully help a lot." She smiled again. "I shall take my leave now, don't want to keep you up too much longer." With a wave of her tail, she padded out of the den calmly.
