Sneaking - very vocally - towards the den closest to their own, Lightningkit suddenly stopped, crouching as she prepared for a playful pounce. Her hindquarters wiggling, she leaped into the air, landing on the old nest with claws extended. Blue eyes turned wildly around, careful to ensure no overprotective spirits were here, guarding the soft treasures they sought. The small calico had heard especially juicy stories of this particular nest. Sniffing around and ensuring no new scents were here, she turned to her uncle, her eyes bright. Her uncle had taught her all about feathers, and now, she was going to return the favor, telling her uncle why this particular nest was so dangerous.
"It looks like she's not here," Lightningkit started, her voice barely a whisper. "The queen that used to live in this nest was really scary! I heard she was a really, really big white molly who was originally a kittypet. She fell in love with some warrior... and moved into WindClan with him. But when she was pregnant, he died. I dunno of what. The others keep changing it between a ShadowClan raid and a badger attack. Can't keep their facts straight..." she mewed, suddenly derailing as she went on a tangent, a small pout crossing her face.
Realizing she had completely gone off the story as she ranted, she shook herself, looking around as though if making sure there really was no one around before continuing. "A-nyways... that's not the spooky part! She had a single kit that apparently looked like her mate. She was so sad because the kit never let her forget him, so she took its life and hers! To this day, she is said to roam the nursery, taking kits who come too close to her nest with her so her kit can have friends to play with," Lightningkit finished, her eyes wide.
Unknown to the calico kit, the story was not as wildly exaggerated as it sounded. True, no one had died other than the molly's mate, but an attempt against the kit's life had been made. The story had also been somewhat romanticized, no doubt to make the story somewhat less scary and to keep prying questions away from the kit in questions. Blissfully unaware of any of this, however, Lightningkit puffed her chest proudly, happy to be able to share some knowledge with her uncle that maybe he wasn't aware of. He wasn't a nursery resident, after all! With this, she was sure they would be even on the lesson on feathers from before.
Squirrelear felt his brow raise up, listening to Lightningkit's tangent about the supposedly haunted nest. He'd heard a somewhat similar story, though remembered only the mate died, but there was an attempt on the kit's life. Unfortunately, Squirrelear himself didn't know all the details, but thankfully, neither did his niece. However, she seemed rather proud of her knowledge, so why not indulge her?
"Really? I never knew that! Gingerheart hadn't told me before! That's pretty.... Spooky," Squirrelear said, his tail moving slowly against the ground behind him. He almost felt bad lying... But it wasn't really a lie, to be fair, only... A bit of a stretch. Not that Lightningkit needed to know until much later, anyways. "Think the ghosts will let us take the feathers?"
A twitch of his brown patched ear was all the response Snowypaw gave the warrior at his command. He supposed further training his tracking capabilities would suit him well. It seemed to be about the only thing he was naturally good at without having to put in three times the effort as other apprentices. Furthering the use and learning to better distinguish smells with his already overly sensitive nose seemed like a wise step forward. The large apprentice's eyes still on the larger warrior's, he gave him a questioning head tilt, waiting for further instructions.

The small tom lifted his head shakily to meet the warrior's eyes. He met the warrior's questions with slow, slurred words.
``I- I'm not hurt, no. Not hurt, not hurt. I- don't know what happened or where I was.. Was I gone very long? Gee- I'm not even sure how I got back here.
The kit's high-pitched voice was panicked as he spoke. What had happened? And why couldn't he remember?
Fallownose frowned in concern as the kit slurred his words. Something was wrong, but he wasn't sure what. "That's okay, Weedkit. You were only gone for about half a moon. Come on, why don't we go see Cowpaw to make sure you're all better?" The deputy leaned down to try and pick the kit up by the scruff so he could take them to Cowpaw's den rather than having Weedkit try to walk.
Frostpaw slowly padded up to the deputy “I'm sorry for being gone but I was thinking on my previous actions.... I'm sorry, Fallownose for being disrespectful. ” Sure, she could play it off as a act but it really wasn't, it was genuine.
Fallownose had been pondering the meaning of life when the sight of a missing apprentice caught his attention. Frostpaw came up to him and apologized and the dark gray tom inclined his head in acknowledgement. "Twilightstar is the one who deserves an apology, not me. Anyways, why leave WindClan entirely to think instead of staying or talking about it with someone? It seems a little extreme."

[Done!]

“Because I felt extremely gulity, like nobody but Tulippaw would ever like me ever again.” Frostpaw replied, genuinely on the verge of tears.

Hunting patrols, have your character place their catch on the fresh-kill pile before reporting, or your character will be punished
Fallownose stretched before making his way to the base of the Breezerock to send out more patrols. Last time, only one hadn't reported, so hopefully, they all would report this time. He hated punishing cats, but if they didn't do their job, he would do his.
"Batglare [ @Moonraven ], take Deertort [ @SplashyLumi ] and Berrypaw [ @Katulaura ] to the ShadowClan Border. It doesn't appear to have been marked by them the past three moons, so let me know if that has changed." Fallownose wasn't sure what was up with ShadowClan and why they weren't marking the border. Maybe it had something to do with why Cinderblaze hadn't attended the last Gathering?
Driftpaw padded along ahead of Wolffeather. First he was assigned an herb patrol, and now a border patrol. How exciting. The big black tom stepped carefully over a small pebble, making sure not to trip himself. "Oi, warrior! How much longer?" He called backward, looking at Wolffeather.
Wolffeather flicked his tail as he trailed behind the apprentice. Shaking his head, he glared at the tom. She frowned, sitting down neatly. "What do you think we should do first apprentice?"

Driftpaw huffed. "It's a star damned patrol! Get up so we can finish already!" He growled, pressing onward.

Nightheart raised her head at her name. RiverClan border? Alright. She stretched and padded over to find her patrolmates. "Leopardfire? Firepaw? Where are you all?" She called, scanning the cats.
