Driftpaw gasped as he was hit in the back of his head. The black tom stumbled forward before tripping on his own paws. He landed on his chin, and let out a yip.

Lightningkit

Lightningkit beamed up at Squirrelear when the tom spoke, a happy squeal escaping her as she took small, excited leaps in place. The little calico was so happy, in fact, she had completely forgotten about how haunted and scary the place was... until she remembered they had to steal the ghost's feathers. Suddenly frozen in place, Lightningkit shifted her eyes left and right, spying around to ensure that it was safe to move again. Once she was certain, she hunched over, crawling rather rapidly to her uncle's side. Safely tucked next to the tufted ears tom's leg, the minute calico looked up at Squirrelear with a rather embarrassed grin on her face, a hint of her earlier cheekiness still coming through.

"Shhh, not so loud," she reprimanded the dark furred tabby, the glint of amusement in her eyes clearly tattling that she was well aware she had been the one making the ruckus to begin with. "I don't think the ghost will want us to take her feathers... but tough. She's not using them, and momma would love a nice, soft nest! We have to be really, super duper sneaky so the ghost doesn't find out. Otherwise, she'll steal us away! I think that would make momma sad," Lightningkit finished, her voice turning a bit more somber as she explained the very serious reason why they could not be stolen away.

A part of her thoroughly wished to see the ghost for herself. Oh the story that would make! But if she couldn't make it back somehow, she knew Gingerheart would be crushed. The molly was already constantly fretful of her kits and their location. Lightningkit feared that either her or one of her littermates vanishing might actually destroy her. Best avoid that, even if it meant being careful and unfun about things.

He stiffled an amused purr, lowering his head down to the now fallen apprentice. "I don't know who on earth taught you manners." Lifting his head, he padded on. "Come along now. Your quite slow." Maybe they felt a bit guilty, but if he was gonna be rude, they could to.

Driftpaw lifted himself off the ground, and moved his lower jaw around. He had landed on a particularly nasty rock, and his chin was cut a bit. The black tom ignored the blood that dripped onto his chest as he muttered, "Well jee, you don't look like a piece of fox dung, but i guess looks can be deceiving, huh?" He followed behind Wolffeather angrily.

Upon hearing her name being called, Berrypaw poked her head out of the apprentice's den, blue and green hues wide with bewilderment. She knew that voice. Wasn't it Fallownose's? Realizing that she probably shouldn't be loitering in the apprentice's den entrance and holding up the line, Berrypaw skittered into the camp clearing, noticing that the deputy was assigning... patrols? Oh. Her small, rounded ears perked, and Berrypaw vaguely tried to recall the names Fallownose had called alongside hers. ... Glare..bat? Glarebat and... Fawn something? Something to do with bats and trotting, no matter how strange that sounded even to her own ears.

The tom's ear flicked at the remark. "More then you could ever imagine." Stepping carefully, they looked between the cracks in the rocks. It was named 'Adder Rocks' for a reason after all.

Driftpaw crossed his eyes and moved his mouth stupidly to mock Wolffeather. "Of all the warriors i could patrol with, Fallownose chose you." He stepped over a crack, and lashed his tail.

Nightheart raised her head at her name. RiverClan border? Alright. She stretched and padded over to find her patrolmates. "Leopardfire? Firepaw? Where are you all?" She called, scanning the cats.

Leopardfire padded out toward the cats calling her name and stood ready for patrol this time she was not about to loose again she had forgotten to report before this time it wasn't gonna happen.
