Fireflame smiled and continued to look for feathers it was a bit hard to find as the leaves were Falling The molly saw a bird fly by watching the loose feather dropping and landing on a high branch she climbed the tree with ease and grabbed the feather she then leapt down landed on her paws but losing a bit of balance she tilted a bit then walking to willowgaze she set it down in front of her paws and continued after finding some more she smiled" do you think this is enough?" she asked

"Well, He won in a fight against a badger as an apprentice- which i don't know if thats fun but it's pretty cool! spent a moon in the medicine den- and they picked up on wound-care techniques- They seem to enjoy scaring others too- they scared me- No one can scare willowgaze!" she puffed her chest and some feathers flew out of her fur. she snorted- "Until now- it seems!"

As the silence after her poor attempt at teasing lengthened, Berrypaw found herself growing more and more anxious by the second. She had overstepped, hadn't she? Snowypaw was bound to dislike her now. An apology instantly sprung to the front of her mind, but Berrypaw pushed it back. How awkward would it be, teasing or not, if she reprimanded Snowypaw for apologizing and then committed the same crime? not a few moments later. Cringing silently at her own actions, Berrypaw mostly failed to notice the antics of her denmate until the last possible moment, when she finally managed to witness Snowypaw opening and shutting his mouth like a fish out of water. Oh dear, she had traumatized him with her horrible attempt at teasing, hadn't she?

Once again, the spotted damsel was pulled by the desire to apologize profusely, but when she'd ultimately decided to cast aside her Berry Law and ask pardon, Snowypaw beat her to it. Beat her to speaking, that was. Her guilt gnawing at her heart lightened considerably when she heard her denmate emit a purr, and Berrypaw let go of a breath she hadn't known she'd been holding.

And by Silverpelt, was Berrypaw surprised. She had not at all expected that response. Her mind was bewildered for a few seconds, whirling with possibilities. Had he not taken offense then? Nonetheless, Berrypaw's smile returned, and her figure relaxed considerably. She was very very glad that he'd not taken her teasing wrongly.

Nimbly bending down, Berrypaw lowered her head until the kestrel was at eye-level. A hesitant glance was cast in Snowypaw's direction, as if asking permission to eat. Taking it as a good sign that Snowypaw didn't decline her, and that he'd pushed the bird towards her in the first place, Berrypaw refocused on the bird. Hopefully wishing that she was right about him not minding, the fluffy apprentice gingerly took a bite out of the piece of fresh kill, unable to suppress a grateful-ish looking smile, and a small purr, in the larger apprentice's direction. Her mind immediately began formulating a response, or thanks, or anything, but then Berrypaw mentally chastised herself. 'First eat, then talk.' She told herself with a ridiculous-looking grin, undoubtedly imagining the mortification she'd put herself through if she began talking with food in her mouth.

Suddenly realizing she was grinning like a maniac for no reason, Berrypaw cut an apologetic look towards her friend?, but instead of speaking, she only settled into a more comfortable loaf position, gently pushing the kestrel back to Snowypaw. Because in the end, they were both hungry, and this whole interaction was to share the food. She'd already been selfish enough by taking the first bite.

Although now that she was done chewing and had pushed the bird back to her denmate, she could think of a proper response. “I suppose it isn't Berrycool of me.” Berrypaw agreed in a sagelike tone, attempting to maintain the same straight face Snowypaw wore. “But in my defense, I don't think it'd be Berrycool of anyone to deny their friend the right to apologize. Especially if that one is the infamous Snowynose.”

Oh no.

Berrypaw realized a second too late what she'd said, and her face reddened with an embarrassed blush of mortification. All the bravado she'd feigned instantly dropped away. She had just said that out loud, hadn't she? Berrypaw was entirely ready to die of humiliation. She'd spoken without thinking, and now she'd pay for her carelessness.
