Snowypaw

Waiting for the molly's reaction, Snowypaw's purr became considerably more noticeable as he noticed Berrypaw becoming more comfortable, taking her first bite of kestrel before pushing the bird back to him. It wasn't until the apprentice lay down in a relaxed, loaf like position that Snowypaw turned his attention to their meal. His stomach churned once more as his mouth watered, noticing just how famished he'd been. Had he really had nothing but a feeble mouse for the past couple of days? How had he kept so busy on so little?

Dipping his head and taking a large bite, his body demanding a proper meal after being denied for so long, Snowypaw savored the kestrel, chewing slowly as he turned to face Berrypaw again, quirking a brow in query as he noticed her face had gone considerably more serious, a jarring change from the wide grin she'd sported a mere few seconds ago. Tilting his head in curiosity, his silent question was answered when Berrypaw suddenly spoke, her voice wise sounding and quite frankly at odds with the words coming out of her mouth. A small snort escaped the large tom, his whiskers twitching with open amusement. It wasn't, however, until her nickname for him from their last talk came up that Snowypaw broke, an open, mirthful laugh escaping the patched apprentice momentarily before he clamped one massive paw on his muzzle, smothering the laugh into a still very audible chuckle. Turning an apologetic look towards Berrypaw for his blatantly loud interruption, he noticed the petrified look of mortification on the spotted molly's face.

Blue eyes widened slightly as he wondered for a moment if he'd been wrong to laugh. Giving Berrypaw a worried head tilt, however, he quickly noticed that her entire being seemed to radiate with the same feeling of humiliation he felt whenever he'd rudely offended someone. Or at least... whenever he assumed he'd rudely offended someone. Ever since he'd become an apprentice, he had to admit no cat had ever seemed offended by anything he'd done, no matter how mortified, clumsy, or rude he'd perceived himself to be. Unsure of how to let her know he was truly alright with - and even fond of - the nickname, his brow furrowed in thought.

As far as he was aware, Berrypaw was so kind, she might think that he was simply being kind in turn by telling her he was fine. Having been in similar positions before, he didn't want her to go through that awkward feeling before realizing everything really was alright. Perking his ears suddenly, he realized he didn't have to speak to let her know he was more than happy with her nickname, having if anything encouraged it this time by calling her Berrycool to begin with. Laying down heavily besides her, Snowypaw bumped his head against her shoulder with a purr in the same affectionate manner he'd used with warriors he'd grown closer to. Making sure he had her attention, he took one of his paws and began tapping his nose with a teasing, quirked brow, silently letting her know that she might lay down the law, but the nose knows best after all.

Where was Gorsekit? The single green eye darted towards the nursery and then back through the gathered crowd, but she found no sign of the little one. Her eye paused on the ginger she-cat with white paws, gaze silently questioning the whereabouts of the queen's kit. Unfortunately, Twilightstar didn't have all day to sit and wait on Gorsekit. "If anyone sees Gorsekit, inform him that he'll have to wait until next meeting for his apprentice ceremony." So about a moon's time. The leader would have looked a bit more concerned about the kit's hereabouts if Shiningskies had shown any signs o distress, but since one of the tom's parents was here Twilightstar was going to assume that the kit was about just not present.

"Since that is our only ceremony, we shall move on to reassignment for Laurelpaw [ @birdie ], Sunpaw [ @Heir Apparent ], Mushroompaw [ @Fawnhearted ], Flickerpaw[ @Caspian ], and Moonpaw [ @spooky jupi ]." Twilightstar carried on with a slight tail twitch.

"Batglare will be taking over Laurelpaw's training." That one's been needing a reassignment or a bit. Having no clue where Skyleaf had vanished too, the leader was hoping Batglare's experience would help at least control the unruly apprentice. "Due to her behavior at the last gathering, Laurelpaw is banned from all future gatherings until she learns how to conduct herself as a member of WindClan and not attack her clanmates. If this behavior continues, Laurelpaw, you'll force my paw and I'll have to exile you." Twilightstar didn't want to exile the apprentice, but if Batglare couldn't solve her outburst and violent temper Twilightstar would have no choice.

"Stoneheart [ @Shinestripe ] will be training Sunpaw." Twilightstar turned her head in the direction of the light gray mackerel tabby, hoping that Sunpaw actually got some training done with him taking over as her mentor.

"Leechscar [ @Undertaker ] will train Mushroompaw." She spotted her son's retreating figure as he darted into the warriors' den. He had shone that despite his younger moons, and new warrior rank, he was responsible enough to take care of an apprentice. As Shatteredvenom's former apprentice, she assumed that Mushroompaw didn't have a great deal of training left.

"Floatingleaf [ @Silvershadow13 ] will mentor Flickerpaw." Twilightstar could never tell if one of her warriors was going to be a good mentor or not. Apparently, being a warrior and being a mentor were very different things since those who made good warriors didn't always prove themselves to be good mentors.

"Nightheart [ @Creeperlover469 ] will train Moonpaw." Just like Twilightstar was never fully certain about mentors, she was also uncertain bout whether an apprentice will put in the work to become a warrior. Ivypaw's disappearance reminded Twilightstar that not all the blame could lie with warriors when apprentices did not succeed. It was a mutual partnership between mentor and apprentice, both had to put in the work and want the same goal to get any real result. Perhaps Nightheart will have better luck with Moonpaw.

"Ashpaw [ @SpookyCloud the Pumpkin ], you are not in need of a new mentor, however, your behavior and lack of supervision at the last gathering makes me feel like you need a new mentor." Twilightstar would not call Ashclaw a bad mentor, more like Ashpaw was a bit too much for him to handle. "Most of my cats know better than to show me the blatant disrespect you showed at the gathering." ThunderClan and RiverClan were one thing, but ShadowClan was another. "You are on Elder duty for a half moon. Whatever they need you'll get done for them. Perhaps Lavendercry [ @Veinyard ], and the others can teach you some respect." Twilightstar didn't consider it that harsh punishment, but hopefully, it was enough for the naive apprentice.

"Ashclaw [ @~SilverShine~ ], if you don't start stepping up and keeping better track of your apprentice I will find someone who will." Ashclaw had looked eager to take on an apprentice, hence why she had given him one. Twilightstar didn't look forward to taking Ashpaw from him, but Twilightstar also wasn't going to let him skirt the responsibilities of having an apprentice.

The leader would be cracking down harder on apprentices when they caused trouble as well as mentors when they failed to take responsibility for them. They two came as a pair one learning and one teaching and thus should be scolded as a pair. The mentors would need to start stepping up as they minded the future generation.

"Frostpaw [ @SplashyLumi ], you've recently returned from being missing. Rabbittail [ @Quietheart ], will take up your training once more." Twilight didn't know the details of her disappearance, but if Fallownose accepted her back then that was that.

"Scalepaw," The lilac she-cat called to the apprentice chatting with Tulippaw who seemed to be attempting to be nice in her own blunt way. "It was recently brought to my attention that you are having problems with your memory. Apparently the accident you were in caused some memory loss." Twilightstar was taking an educated guess there. "Though no fault of your own, you'll have to go through training again if you are well enough physically. Leopardfire [ @Silverfur & Co ] will be your mentor." Maybe training will jog the tom's memory. Leopardfire should be more mindful than Rabbiteye had been with Scalepaw.

Twilightstar stopped there allowing all the new mentors and apprentices to meet and greet and to see if anyone had questions for her before she moved on.

Floatingleaf looked at Twilightstar with shock, A mentor, what an honor, oh I hope I do well she thought as she looked around for Flickerpaw.

Snowypaw

A moment passed as Snowypaw focused on Breezerock and realized no one seemed to be inching forward. No kit sized ball of fur was making its way to be named. A concerned frown on his face, Snowypaw glanced around the gathered cats, his eyes scanning for Gorsekit. Noticing no movement, his attention was called back by Twilightstar as the lilac leader decided to continue with the meeting, postponing the kit's apprenticeship. The large apprentice shifted his paws with worry, unsure what could have happened to the kit to make him not show up. Twilightstar's stoic words, however, and her rather calm demeanor kept the tom at peace. Surely the WindClan leader would have let them know if there was something to worry about? But then again, Deadmoon was still missing, and no one other than himself seemed to be awfully troubled about that...

Shaking his head free of such foreboding thoughts, Snowypaw scoffed, mentally chastising himself for even considering such things. Surely it wasn't that nobody cared that his beloved mentor had gone missing. They were just much more mature than him, and able to better control their feelings. That was all. If anything, he should probably be ashamed of how listless he had been since Deadmoon's disappearance. Having been lost in his own thoughts, Snowypaw's head suddenly snapped up in attention at the mention of new mentors being assigned to existing apprentices.

Oh no... no no no. Fox dung...

Anxiety rippling through his feathery pelt, Snowypaw shifted his massive paws nervously as he focused on the leader once more. With Deadmoon missing, Snowypaw had taken up mentorship with any cat who was willing to take him out for lessons, keeping his training sharp by practicing when he remained alone in camp. It was nowhere near what he could accomplish if Deadmoon were here, but he did it all to hopefully impress her if - no... when - she returned, and have her perhaps be happy to take up his training once more. He held no ill will towards any of WindClan's warriors, and knew he would be lucky to mentor under any of them, but... but he wanted Deadmoon back. What if she returned and he had another mentor? That would be as good as betraying her, and after all she'd done for him, too!

As Twilightstar listed the names of apprentices being reassigned, Snowypaw let go of a breath he had not realized he'd been holding. The patched tom almost collapsed with relief at not being named among the reassigned ones. That meant Deadmoon was still his mentor. As far as the Maine Coon mix was concerned, that meant the leader still believed she might return. His head hanging low as his tense shoulders finally relaxed, Snowypaw only half listened to the one eyed molly as she called forth the new mentors. He was out of the woods... for now.

Stoneheart~
The grey tom was a bit surprised at Twilightstar's words. He had an apprentice now! He dipped his head, then glanced around the crowd for Sunpaw. His brown furrowed slightly when at first he could not see the she-cat, but Stoneheart flicked his grey tail when he caught sight of Sunpaw. He slipped to her side. "Hello, Sunpaw." he meowed, his voice calm.

Finally spotting her apprentice, Floatingleaf walked over to Flickerpaw
"Hi, I'm Floatingleaf, your new mentor, so first off how much training have you done already?" @Caspian

Crowfoot hummed softly at everything that had been announced, it was a lot and it still seemed like there was more. The large warrior just wanted to go and rest.

Coyotecrash was bouncing on his feet, he wanted to sprint around but this meeting was taking forever. His tail flicked back and forth as he watched Twilightstar.

Ashflight had leaned against Crowfoot, tired as he had been sleeping terrible lately. The large warrior was very comfortable.
