Crystalpaw followed Darkoak, looking around. She pricked her ears as he talked, and let out a chuckle as he seemed to slightly trip over his words, and she smiled at his last words. "Thanks Dad... uh, Darkoak..." she mewed. The Black and white molly's blue orbs shifted around as she looked at the training area. She considered Darkoak her father more so then Sapphirestorm. Mostly because Darkoak had been with her more often and longer. She saw a nearby bush then, since Darkoak was ahead, decided to sneak away into it then sneak attack him. She slowly stalked away and slipped into the bush, a playful smile on her maw.

Darkoak felt his chest swell with pride. Cyrstalpaw was taking this better then he thought. Darkoak walked forward, unaware Crystalpaw had dashed away. He padded forward, sniffing the air. He slowly began to think of how training would go. Start with battle Moves first, then hunt. Or, maybe..no fighting skills... Darkoak sighed, hunting would be slow until New-leaf came. The tabby flicked his tail, sighing as he walked threw the training grounds.

the coldness never left him. Yes, all the apprentice could think was the coldness he felt. Blizzardpaw had been laying in the cold, slowly slipping away from consciousness. And, the sad part was, he was on the edge of death, nearing their, quickly. The freezing apprentice stumbled into the clearing, collasping a few feet from the entrance, breathing quickly, and rather raspy sounding. He was in camp now, he would stay alive, he would, certainly for sure. But, that will to live was slipping away, as the coldness increased immensely. The tom breathed in shaky breaths, shook and shivered with cold, cold was the only thing on his mind

His eyes, felt blurry. I-I'm going to die, aren't I? But...why now? The apprentice thought, slumping over pitifully. A signal of darkness was nearing, and the apprentice felt, that he had to let it happen. He couldn't feel his entire body, tail trying to swish to release some hot air to warm himself up. Something. Anything to stop his doom. But, it didn't work, and, slowly but surely. Blizzardpaw's head hit the ground, his breaths ragged and quiet. His eyes were wide with fear, and protest, but, you can never stop death, sometimes it just happened, life would move on. The tom cat's tail slowly stopped swishing, going quiet entirely. His amber eyes grew dull, body growing colder than ever, ice cold in fact. He was dead, and nobody could stop that, it was too late, anyways.

Dreamkit perked her ears at a loud thump, just in front of the enterance to the clan, curiosity washed over the marbled molly. The cream kit made her way out of the nursery and to the Entrance, stumbling through the snow to the apprentice. Horror struck the young she cat once she saw the limp body, she sniffed it, unsure of what to think, she was only a moon, she didn't quite understand death, she didn't even know what it was, but she knew it existed, that itching feeling inside became stronger with every step she took twords the dead apprentice. She poked and prodded at the tom, wondering if he was sleeping or not, she didn't know any better, some untold emotion washed over her, something that made her choke up, something that made her want to cry. She didn't understand, she didn't know why tears began to well up in her eyes, she didn't know why she didn't eye and wake the sleeping tom, she didn't know why she wasn't calling for help, she simply stood there, staring at the face, looking directly in the pale, clouded eyes of the dead tom. She let out a choked wail, which echoed in the clearing, alerting Warriors, tear drops fell upon the limp body, which soon froze, she stumbled forward and rested her head on his neck, shivering at how cold he felt, at how lifeless he was, at how little anyone cared, it hurt her, more than anything. The kit let out a few more wails, she didn't understand why no one was helping the apprentice move to his nest, why no one was was taking him to the medicine cat den to warm him up, why he wasn't breathing, why she's was crying, wailing, pleading for someone to help, all she knew was that something couldn't be changed, that something could never be brought back, but alas, she didn't know what.

Smokeblossom padded out of the Warriors den, still relishing the sweet pine Sao scent of the clearing. She had missed this place beyond compare on her time of exile with Halestar, when Blazingnight ruled this forest. Every time she glanced at the new leader she was reminded of her time spent with Halestar, both as her apprentice and her friend. She enjoyed the she cats company, and treasured her as an older sister like companion. Halestar had stood up for her and protected her before she knew how to fight for herself. It was thanks to her amazing mentor and leader that Smokeblossom was the strong and confident she cat she was now. She had learned not to be so solitary from her Clan, living life fearing her enemies and not trusting anyone enough to make friends. She had promised herself that now she was back, a stronger warrior, a new warrior, she would start to change her life. She would trust her Clan more, serve it better and care for it above all else. Besides, it's what Shadowclan deserved.

Mistkit spoke up, "don't barrage him with questions, he won't tell us the answers if you do that!"

Her grey-and-yellow tail flicked and she meowed, "Who put a fire ant in here?" lifting it on her paw. "Youch! It bit me!"

A small bundle of fur sprinted from the nursery and into the clearing. He was only about two moons old, but slightly smaller than the other kits his age. Though the same could not be said for her twin. Thornkit on the other paw is a bit larger than the other kits their age and looks about a moon or two older than he really was. He himself was glad that his brother was already big, it kept the other kits from picking on them. Neither Volekit nor Thornkit had any clan blood in their veins, and therefore usually viewed as lesser by some of their clanmates as well as a target for bullying. But Thornkit could easily intimidate the others into silence, and since he never left Volekit's side Volekit rarely got any of the bullying lately either.

"Try to catch me!" He yowled towards Thornkit, whom was still in the nursery. Volekit was faster than his brother - but he was also clumbsy. The small tabby suddenly trip and hit the ground. He quickly scrambled back to his paws, not surprised at his own clumsiness. Volekit laugh again and turned to look at his brother. No matter what they played, it was always Thornkit that won - unless he decided to throw the game for Volekit - but the small twin still loved playing with him nonetheless. Infact, he was truly proud to be Thornkit's brother, he was big and strong and Volekit loved him to pieces.

Thornkit is already ready to become a warrior! He thought, though this was actually far from the truth. To Volekit, Thornkit seemed almost godlike - an unstoppable force that was amazing in every way. He was protective and kind towards Volekit and was always there for him. But little did he know, Thornkit had a secret darkness in him, but he just never showed it around Volekit.

Mudkit blinked in surprise, shifting his weight carefully. He wanted to very much, but he also had reasons to turn down her offer. Not wanting to seen rude or nothing, he wrapped his tail over his paws, leaning forwards so the wind tingled his whiskers. “Come slightly that way. There's a draft right where you are.” he said quietly, indicating with a jerk of his chin to where the draft was, hoping that he was right.

“Oh! I'd love to play.” he added quickly, then his head drooped slightly, a disappointed look flashing in his eyes, but disappearing just as quickly as it'd come, so it was quite possible that it had never been there in the first place. “But... I'm not very good... You see, I'm terrible at walking.” he added, hoping very much that Twigkit wouldn't mind.

She didn't. She stepped aside towards where he had pointed. "I don't mind. We could play something that doesn't involve walking- like.....uh....well, maybe moss ball?" the kit offered, tilting her head slightly. "Would that be OK?" She smiled up at the tom, her eyes sparking with energy and excitement.
