Shiningskies gave Gorsekit an encouraging smile as her son padded up to become an apprentice. She hoped he was doing alright after the talk, but he was still a child. Had she and Aspenstrike told their kits about their background too soon? Should they have waited until they were older? Well, what was done was done and there was no use dwelling on it now.

Beetlekit looked around finally, ears flicking back. Where was he exactly? He had been following a beetle... Turning in a circle the kit found no trace of such beetle. Surely he couldn't be that far from camp? Turning around again, the kit sat a little dumbfounded. And cold. He could find someone tho! Getting back to his paws, the kit decided to jump up and down. He couldn't use his voice, so this was the second best idea he had! Surely some cat would see him?

snow'tuft yawned, grooming his thick fur lazily in the clearing. he didn't enjoy the weather, but it didn't bother him too much as he simply ignored it.
he flicked his ear, raising his head as his friend approached him, smiling welcomingly to the tabby. "hello cold'meadow! horrible weather eh?" he chirped warmly.

Sunkit looked at Gorsekit and smiled and mews in a whisper " It will be okay. You can do it."


Leopardfire smiled at the little molly that used to go around giving the clan flowers to try to cheer other up she purs softly proud of Sunkit.

ColdMeadow sat beside their friend, nodding in agreement. "leafbare will come no matter what, its upsetting, but its there for a reason." they purred, blinking softly. "fluffy cats like you and me will be just fine, I'm just worried for prey and kits, the cold can cause so many things we're not ready for" they sighed, ear flicking. they had no doubt in her clanmates, but they knew it would bring hunger and sickness, and the thought alone disturbed the tabby.

he smiled fondly. "I was speaking of the rain, but I suppose you are right about that. I was never fond of snow ironically" snowtuft chuckled, smiling at the smaller tabby. "how've you been doing though? I haven't been as active in the clan as I had hoped and haven't seen you around much" he smiled.

"actually why don't we do something tomorrow? made the most out of leaf-fall before it ends" he nudged them softly, tilting their head. "it'll be nice, just like when we were apprentices!" he purred.

He joked with the other apprentice. "Your going to die of old age before I even get to be a warrior!" He giggled as he said that, he liked joking around with the other apprentices.

Wolffang nodded in response to Fawnpaw's words. She knew how to hunt. Good. "Alright. If you can catch a rabbit on your own, I doubt I need to teach you anything. Just tell me if you need assistance." He looked away from her and scanned the moor, his amber eyes narrowing as he tried to spot any signs of life. Simultaneously, his mouth opened, and he inhaled deeply, drawing air over his scent glands. A strong whiff of rabbit caught his attention. "There's a rabbit that way," he murmured to the speckled apprentice. "I'll go after it. I believe there's a place with a lot of mice not far from here. I'd recommend keeping your eyes - and your nose - out. But-" his tone grew stern, "-don't stray too far." He waited for a moment to see if Fawnpaw had anything else to say, then padded off, hoping that she could follow basic instructions. All the while, he kept his ear peeled back to make sure he could hear her properly. She should be fine on her own for a bit. I'll catch this rabbit, then go right back to her.

The large, sturdy tom soon caught sight of his quarry: a brown rabbit with a fluffy white tail that was hopping about, unaware of him. He instinctively lowered into a crouch and began to stalk toward it. The wind was blowing in his direction, flattening his pelt and making him pull back his remaining ear. The rabbit wouldn't scent him. Wolffang got a little closer, then broke into a run. It looked up with a startled squeak and began to hare away, its paws pounding against the chilled earth. But seasons upon seasons of experience ran through the former deputy's blood, and it could not escape him. He put his strength into his hindquarters, then leaped, landing squarely on the rabbit's back. The brown creature squealed and squirmed, but Wolffang had it securely, and its shrieks were quickly cut off by a well-aimed bite to the throat.

Wolffang picked up the rabbit and went back to where he'd left Fawnpaw. Had the apprentice started hunting? He'd made sure not to go too far from her - after all, she was an apprentice, and it was just the two of them. He didn't want to be too far away in case she needed his help. It's my first patrol after coming back. For StarClan's sake, I wouldn't let anything happen to the cat I was with!

The she-cat nodded eagerly, her ears already pricked up and twitching to every noise she could hear. "Alright!" She said, more out of habit. Her mind was already focused on the rabbit she had located, it was a bit of a ways away, but she figured if she was fast about it, she would be able to get back at a decent time.
The brown molly took off quickly in the direction of the rabbit, going the oppisite way from Wolffang, once she got close enough to smell it, she stopped, crouching low. She was about 2 fox lengths away from the white rabbit, creeping forward until she was in pouncing distance, she leaped forward, catching the creature off guard and ending it's life with a neat blow. She laid the body down for a moment, thanking StarClan for the food before picking it back up and racing quietly back to where Wolffang had said to meet, only stopping once to grab a vole as well. She was just in time, skidding to a stop before him, hardly panting and set the rabbit down. "I got another rabbit!" She said happily, setting down the prey to wait (Be it impatiently) for more instructions.

Swiftmoon's ears perked up at the mention of her name, seeing Ashpaw ready for the patrol. "Coming!"
