Leaf'River purred as he walked towards his new apprentice and they touched noses. "I'll train as best as I can and make you a strong warrior," he said to Mist'paw. He then turned around and walked.back to tye crowd of cats, " Light'paw, Gorse'paw," he chanted out loud.

Cobwebpaw lifted his head, slightly taken aback as he heard his name called. When was the last time someone had said his name?

A new mentor. Frankly, he hadn’t even noticed his previous one had gone missing. The apprentice supposed that said something about his previous mentor-student relations, but he didn’t feel like dissecting those issues at this precise moment. Rather, he should probably go locate this new mentor of his. The tom’s yellow eyes narrowed as he stood casting about the crowd. You know what? This mentor could come find him. He was tired of chasing cats down.

The tabby remained standing, tail twitching as he awaited Coldsong. Maybe this warrior could actually make something of Cobwebpaw, or maybe not. Sootflare had seemed promising to the young tom, and look how that panned out.

Milkpaw's thoughts switched back to reality as he heard his name being called out, then those of his sisters. It took him a few moments to realize that Twilightstar was assigning new mentors to each of them. Instantly he glanced around worryingly, dreading the possibility to see Deertrot's reaction to the leader's decision. If she had given up on him... it must be a huge embarrassment for the warrior. He is that embarrassment.

What was again the name he was associated with? ...Crowfoot. Yes, even in his dizziness he remembered the kind black tom who had taught him how to hunt during his first patrol. Relief washed over him, as he realized that from now on a familiar face would follow him, become his point of reference.

Milkpaw stepped forward and waited for Crowfoot to do the same. He had the chance to start all over again. But then, his mentor's words rang again in his head as cold as stone in winter... You are... a massive disappointment.

He closed his eyes, trying to block off images of scornful replies and pictures of Fireflymeadow before she disappeared. An invisible, huge weight pressed him down and tightened his chest, threatening his breathing.

Swiftheart cheered the new apprentices names. "Gorsepaw, Lightpaw!" He mewed. His yellow and orange eyes lit up as Leafpaw was reasigned to him. He flicked his gaze through to crowds to find his new apprentice.

Sharpbreeze let out a stretch as he exited his den for the clan meeting. His ears were perked and he almost gasped when he was assigned mentor to Irispaw, he didnt want to be known as the mentor who let his apprentice down. He had to try his best, but for now, where was irispaw anyways. Maybe in the back? Or the corner, who knows. He rapidly looked around as he looked for Irispaw. "Irispaw! Come here, im your mentor now!" he said from a distance outloud hoping that Irispaw would hear and come over to him
