Dandelionpaw existed at the meeting, still feeling a little shaken but... She would be fine. Hopefully. It was part of life, right?

From the nursery where she was sleeping, the fluffy kitten's ears perked up upon hearing Birdyflight on the big tree. Her eyes opened wide as she turned around to curiously watch from the warm den's mouth, having moved to lay on her paws with nothing more than her ears and eyes peeking up enough to be visible from the outside. Soooo many reassignments, Dusty wasn't wrong when he said that some warriors weren't responsible! How could they all just... Leave like that? Were they on adventure too?? It didn't make sense, honestly. Still, the kitten kept on watching silently, curiosity in her wide eyes. it was cold. So cold. Vixenkit didn't like that!! Shine, sun!!!

A little huff sounded when she curled closer to herself for warmth, when! suddenly! Oh goodness!! The spotted kitten's eyes went wide in surprise as she promptly jumped up from her hiding place! Her, an apprentice?? Impossible!!

"Birdyflight!! But Birdyflight!!"
Jumping away from the nursery, she quickly trotted over to the tall willow tree, looking straight up at the leader with unfaltering round, blue eyes.
"How can I become an apprentice without Turtykit?? And without mama!!?"
Honestly, they were supposed to become apprentices together, right? They are littermates, after all!! It was unbelievable how long both of them stayed away, honestly, I mean look at them now! Almost missing their apprentice ceremony all because mama went on adventure and probably got lost, and Turtykit still hasn't found her! It's been moons!!

An apprentice? Well ain't that something!

Littlelion purred as she approached the apprentice, before touching noses with the young cat, very excited. "I promise I'll be a good mentor! I always like workin with you young ones!", he said, still purring.

This was her first apprentice, and he was getting reassigned so he should have had some training, right? Or perhaps he hadn't gotten any, and that was the issue.

"So, Kiddo, what training have you already gotten?"

A hefty, exasperated sigh escaped the tan molly's muzzle as Streamtail attempted to explain her reasonings.

"I am not trying to be the villain here Streamtail," she stated, attempting to keep the frustration from her voice. "But you have to understand that now is NOT the time to be picking up extra mouths to feed. It is Leafbare. You are not the only queen expecting kits and we aren't exactly fast-tracking an abundance of new warriors into the clan to help feed you all."

Closing her eyes for a moment, the Thunderclan leader pressed a paw up against her forehead. This whole situation was starting to give her a headache.

"You are going to return this kit to it's home. Safely, and with an escort. When Newleaf comes, if this 'Teddie' wishes to return and be trained in our ways, so be it. They will have proved their commitment. But for now, they need safety and stability; things that I cannot guarantee them this season."

"Do you have any questions?"

 

Well, the sheepish look and the nod in response would have to be good enough for the non-verbal kit.

"Good. Flameheart, give her an escort back to her parents and keep an eye on them for now. I will allow you back into Thunderclan, but I expect you to work hard and become a strong asset to your peers."

A nod of dismissal was given to the newly appointed warrior, before the tan molly turned back to her previous thoughts.

Padding through the territory, Sparrowstar was more than a little surprised to find one of the clan's missing elders wandering about the forest.

"Stars above Ravensong, you certainly had us worried," she hummed, quickly trotting over to help support the rather frail looking cat as she approached. "Let's get you back to Sundust so he can take a look at you. And... Seeing as your memory may not be quite what it used to be, I'd like you to take an escort if you want to go out on a walk alright? I don't want you getting lost again."

The sudden appearance of Nightsong returning to the camp was... Unexpected considering that she hadn't been informed of her apparent search for Spiderleap.

Approaching the missing she-cat with a stern look, Sparrowstar paused a few pawsteps away and allowed a moment of silence for the grieving warrior.

"If Spiderleap intended to return to us, I am certain you would have found him," she stated, tone steady as she looked down at the cat before her. "However, you have returned to Thunderclan in one piece and I am certain that is what your brother would have wanted. In the future, please notify me before running off on a search and rescue mission; I was under the assumption that you had left for good."

Another pause as she took in the sight of the molly before her with a sigh. A gentle touch of her tail flicked to the warrior's shoulder before she turned away.

"Now go; rest up in the warriors den. I expect you to return to your duties with every iota of effort you can summon this season."

Brows furrowed at the... lackluster explanation this warrior gave her regarding his missing status.

"What do you mean you 'got lost'?" she stated, voice stern as she evaluated the tom before her. "Are you not a warrior Shiverblaze? Were you not given a territory tour during your apprenticeship???"

If that was all he had to say for himself, he could promptly head back out to the forest where he'd wandered off to. She couldn't deal with mousebrained warriors on top of her current duties.

The squeaking voice of a kit pulled Sparowstar's attention immediately to the surrounding bush. A severely unwell looking kit met her gaze, and the tan molly was quick to dash over and scoop them up by the scruff.

"Fallowkit? Where on earth have you been?" she tutted, quickly turning to carry them back towards camp. "Stars above, Sundust is going to have to take a look at you."

Patrolling along the outskirt's border had apparently been the right choice today. The vaguely familiar voice of Softripple calling through the underbrush gave pause to her path as she gazed around the area to spot her missing clanmate.

"This way Softripple... What on earth happened to your ears?" she called back, eyes widening at the unexpected sight of the injury.

The squeak of another missing kit practically tumbling back into camp was both a frustration and a welcome sight for the Thunderclan leader.

"Blazingkit, where in the stars have you been," she stated, tone stern as she approached the missing fluff-ball.

SoftRipple spotted a fellow former clanmate. "Oh thank starclan!" she said and padded quickly over. "Twolegs...." She said bitterly and frowned.

The orange she-cat couldn't help but shake her head. She had been reassigned many times, so she understood the disappointment that the other apprentices must feel. That was when a realization came to her. She hadn't been reassigned a mentor. With a questioning look, Emberpaw turned her gaze to Sparrowstar.

Rainpaw felt the touch of his new mentor's nose, it was an all too familiar feeling. Bumbleflight had done the same when he first became an apprentice, and now, he was doing the same thing with a different mentor. He better be a good one, and active too! he might have been a little grumpy, but at this moment, he didn't care. Not when he was eleven and a half moons with nothing but a territory tour and all but one border.

"I know the territory and all borders except for Herondive Hollow. Bumbleflight, he was my first mentor, disappeared half-way through our walk there and I had no choice but to head back to camp. That's... that's about it," the young tom dipped his head in embarrassment. Almost twelve moons old and I only know the territory and two borders... that's so embarrassing! Bumbleflight was a mouse-brain, he shouldn't have left me!

"I need everything else," the young tabby ruffled his light brown tuft of fur as he spoke about how much training he needed, ridding himself of the embarrassment. "I know it's not much... what I have... Sorry, Littlelion. But I promise, I'll listen to everything you say!"
