This wouldn't do. Not. At. All. Another night of sleep interrupted, and this time by none other than a kit. A kit! Two kits! They were multiplying! Ack! Since when? She sat up quickly, blinking sleep out of her eyes as she glared at them. "What do you two think you are doing." Her lip drew back, revealing sharp teeth. This was Foxpaw's nap time. She actually got to sleep now, and for once, she had been working hard enough to enjoy it. Climbing and hunting training two days in a row and these imbeciles decided to wake her up! "Where are your mothers?" And they were messing up the nests? Where were their manners? She swept defensively in front of her own, standing in front of it with her tail slightly off to the side. Might as well protect her brothers as well.

The cream colored tom stretched as he padded out of the warrior’s den. He opened his jaws in a wide yawn. He shook out his fur and began grooming. It always got messed up after a nice nap. He did so enjoy grooming himself though. His pelt was so sleek and fluffy honestly any cat who had it would feel the same he was sure. He was almost down when he saw two blurs bounding across camp and diving into the apprentice’s den. He lifted his head in surprise. His ears twitched as he heard muffled yowls from inside. He chuckled to himself. Kits! He was sure they meant no hard but the apprentices worked so hard, they really did deserve a break. And he didn’t mind playing with a couple of restless kits! He heaved himself onto his paws and went to their rescue. He gave Foxpaw a quick nod and a look that he hoped told the apprentice he would get them outside to play.

Sticking his head into the apprentice’s den he looked around assessing the damage. They seemed to be messing up the nests. No no no this wouldn’t do. He resolved to make them again before night fell. Ah Bluekit and Locuskit. He hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting either yet. Now seemed to be as good a time as any. “What is this I’m hearing? Why you two don’t seem much bigger than mice! You can’t possible be in this den yet!” His whiskers twitched in amusement and he made sure his voice showed them that he was just playing.

"This is our den now!" Lotuskit yells, "Stay calm and we'll leave your nest alone! My mom is busy with my siblings, so ha!" Lotuskit jumped on another nest to prove her point, she then turns to the warrior, "We are too big! We are taking over this den! So you have to jump around in circles because you're in it!"

"Why should I care? I'm still going to tell them to keep an eye on you!" Her snarl widened and she held back a hiss. These were kits, be nice to kits. But why should she be nice to them when they acted like this? They didn't deserve it. "Hey!" Personal space, much? She shook at her fur, freeing herself from the kits grasp. What was a good threat, uh... Her mind went blank as she planned. "You know what, if you keep this up I'll have Flameheart tell Sparrowstar to keep you a kit." She wouldn't, of course, but she could pretend. Would Flameheart do that for her? Probably not, but she could try.

A voice broke through the chaos and her head swung towards the shape of a warrior. "These idiots are messing up the den!" He sounded playful. Playful? This was not the time for that. A gasp of shock came at the other cats outburst. "No it's not. You're so small I could bat you away with one paw." She was pissed, frankly, and none of these insects deserved her amusement. Cause they weren't amusing. She looked to Ducklingfluff, hoping that he caught the message that she didn't care how young they were, they had better get out soon. "You leave my nest alone, and Coldpaw's, and everyone else's." She would not be negotiating with a microscopic furball.

Her silver sleek fur was visible in the frigid dry air, making her sniffle nonetheless. Making her match her gray sick facade. She was never this sick to begin with, it seems like the world has cursed her with misfortune as soon as she turned a corner on life. Throughout her lifetime she has never felt this unfair. Perhaps she was letting her anger get to her, she tried to let her warrior duties restrict her from such things she could potentially do. She has made too many gifts that have been lost over some days, moons, or even lifetimes. A grunt escaped her as she sashayed around camp letting her paws lead her. Being removed from her queen status made her feel.. strange. She wasn't as busy as she used to be. Kits were rampantly tumbling around and rumbling with each other. Being a warrior well.. was a bit boring. Dashingly passing by the nursery, something hit her with a piece of nostalgia. She halted in her tracks whipping her head around to face the nursery entrance. Her eyes scrutinized inside, immediately stopping not wanting to head any dirty looks from passerby.

The corners of her lips twitched as she stalked in forward cautiously. Giving a tail flick of a greeting towards the queens inside. There were new queens with fresh litters of kits for Thunderclan. The murky milk-scent hit her nose, jittering out her fur that made no sense of movement. Quickly walking through with her tail held low, silently rasping as she wanted to keep herself away from the nursery for sometime. Ever to be dared to step foot in here. With a slight frown she sped forward, managing to touch any outlier rubble in the way of her tracks. She weaved through a nest, her vision getting distracted by an idle kit. Her ears perked alert to see a distantly familiar tabby pattern. Her maw dropped as she made her way over. The kit.. no they were a bit bigger. They were out and snoring like a fox. She looked towards Rainpaw and realized. She realized too late. Quietkit? That's not possible.

The kit smelled like an outsider, but they were so familiar. Her haunches raised in excitement. Her guesses were not correct, but the exact opposite. A shallow hefty breath escaped her creating a small cold mist into the air. Quietkit was fast asleep. She also didn't want to disturb the other cats in here, she slinked on over. Giving grateful tear-filled looks towards both of her kits. Wrapping herself around the slumbering Quietkit. It doesn't matter how long she would have to be in here. She would like to stay forever. Being greeted with the gifts she had gifted to the world. It was pleasant unlike the cold floors of camp.

Foxpaw’s look and mannerisms sent shivers down even his spin. He couldn’t imagine how the kits seemed so unaffected. She certainly was a character. He didn’t know if she would really attack kits (he presumed not), but he thought it wise to get them out all the same. A frown furrowed on his muzzle at her overreaction to Lotuskit trying to play with her. It was an annoying situation to be sure, but not one that demanded such a response. He refrained from addressing it aloud however. It’s not my place to tell her off I’m not her mentor.

He turned his attention back on the kits. “Jump in circles?” He sighed dramatically. “I’m much too big for that in here. I’ll do it if we can go outside. Deal?” If the kits said no he was more than willing to get more commanding, but he felt that this would be a far better option. Especially with a certain variable at play. He glanced Foxpaw’s way.
