and he definitely wasn't adorable, but Foxwillow made the little emo flush, and the short dude almost choked on air at the next thing he said. Friends? He didn't have any of those. "Sure, thanks!' Over enthusiasticly, he caught himself and lowered his head and chuckled nervously in a breathy sort of wheeze. "You're my first friend." This pathetic confession made him think back to his mother, who's overbearingness had pushed him into a shell and made him think that he wasn't good enough to be friends with anyone. Was she wrong? Was he not too far gone in the friend department?

This. This is what he had imagined having a mother was like. A mother unlike his own, who he loved of course, but he didn't know if she loved him back. FrogPaw had finally uncovered her face and jumped up, “woah, you’re challenging me?” She gave a quick, energetic stretch. “Look, if you’re gonna keep guard by the nursery all the time, I’m gonna have to join you sometimes. It’s not that healthy to sit alone,” she began to lift the nest with a smile, “let’s move it together!”

Well, that got her up!

Letting out an imperceptible sigh, Cinderpaw smiled. Well... maybe it wouldn't hurt to have someone sit with her sometimes. But she was going to be the only one fighting any intruders! And Frogpaw better not try to skip out on training because of her. Even if she was more than strong enough to move the nest on her own, the older apprentice allowed her new friend to grab the other end.

"Let's g-go, then." She told her, and began their trek to the nursery.

FrogPaw joins CinderPaw in dragging a fresh nest for the other apprentice into the nursery. She tried her best not to make eye contact with Any of the kits, knowing that a certain blue kit would playfully tear her pelt apart if she did.

Just her luck though, Bluekit immediately began to vibrate the moment she saw the brown apprentice. FrogPaw knew exactly what was about to happen but still sent a quick prayer to Starclan in hopes that they could drop a feather to distract her…

“FROG PAW!” Blue kit didn’t waste a second to jump on the apprentices back. “BADGER RIDE BADGER RIDE!” The she-kit was being obnoxiously loud and destroying every nest in her path.

He watched Foxpaw leave with a slight sigh of relief. Crisis averted. He hadn’t really thought she would attack, but he felt easier without her their. He turned back to the kits. They seemed to have forgotten his question already. What a pawful! His whiskers twitched in amusement at their comments, but he forced himself to look stern. “Oh? And who do you think started this fight?” We don’t get to call other cats names. He narrowed his eyes that them. Then flicked his tail to beckon them out. He wouldn’t spend tons of time scolding them. He wasn’t their father after all. He would leave that up the the cat in-charge of them. ”C’mon let’s go to the clearing, and I’ll give you both a badger ride.” He meowed with a grin.

Green eyes flicked over the crowd as she watched apprentices greet their mentors and two of the 3 kits she had called up appeared. Hmmm... Well, if Beankit wasn't up and about she'd just have to proceed with the ceremony for these two.

An amused twitch of her whiskers was all the reaction she allowed as Galekit called out his excitement for his own future apprenticeship. Vixenkit had also called up to her (using the delightful nickname she refused to correct just yet), and she had some valid worries.

"Vixenkit, I am sure both your mother and your littermate wouldn't want your apprenticeship to be delayed because of their absence," she stated carefully as she peered down at the kit before her. "Besides, if you start before Turtlekit, you can help teach him everything you've learned once he returns."

While Sparrowstar certainly wasn't optimistic about the potential for either of those cat's return, she certainly wouldn't let that be public knowledge.

"Vixenkit [ @Estelle ] and Woodkit [ @Rabbiteye ], from this day until you receive your warrior name you will be known as Vixenpaw and Woodpaw."

"Vixenpaw, Batblood [ @Flea ] will be your mentor and I'm sure he will teach you everything you need to know."

"Woodkit, you will be trained by Foxwillow [ @Snowyflake ]. Heed their teachings, and I'm sure you'll excel."

A pleased nod was given to each of the newly appointed apprentices before her eyes flicked towards two more young cats. Pride sparkling in her gaze, the tan molly gave them a barely concealed grin before she spoke once more.

"Softpaw [ @WinterMara ] and Emberpaw [ @Rizo ], please step forward."

"BADGER RIDE!!!" Lotuskit yells with joy, then looks to Bluekit, "Bluekit! Come on! Foxpaw isn't worth our precious time to explore anyway! We can take over the clearing instead!"
