Honestly, she did feel a little bad for just... disappearing from home...

Teddie was gone. There was a note on the table that read, "Gone for food and might not be back until the next night. The Horrors are fast when the sun is up. Stay hidden and keep away from the cave entrance. If you hear anything, hide and stay quiet RIGHT AWAY. I'll be back as soon as I can. There is some food behind the stone table. -Teddie"

Charlie stood up, going to read the note. She glanced at the cave entrance. If somebody told her not to do something, she had to do it. Out of curiosity. But... it was dangerous... or maybeeeee~ Next thing she knew, she was sitting right out in front of the cave.

Some kind of shadow human thing was standing nearby, and it looked just like what Teddie had said about the Horrors that chased her. It wasn't moving, just standing there, limbs where they should not be.

The Horror took one fast step before a loud smash was heard. It whirled around and, just like a finger snap, it was gone. After about two minutes, Teddie came skidding into the cave. "That was a close one..." She whispered.

Charlie watched, frozen with fear as the Horror took a step towards her. She let out a sigh of relief as Teddie came into the cave.

Charlie clasped a hand over her mouth, the sound the hand would have made muffled by the sock that was her snake puppet.
