Firepetal dropped a squirrel into the fresh - kill pile, her sides heaving from the burst to get back. Her breath looked like steam in the air. Her paws scratched against the frosty floor and she turned around to see Thunderblaze. Perhaps she could go for a hunt. After all, she should warm up a bit more, before she froze, then she could have a warm mouse or something. She padded over to the cat, tail flicking. “Hi thunderblaze,” Firepetal twitched her ear. “You up for a hunt?”
Thunderblaze watched as Firepetal Dropped off the fresh kill his eyes watched intently than as she came over to him the one eyed tom looked at firepetal without saying a word or a moment then opening his mouth" sure" the scarred tom replied

•°. *࿐ Firepetal
Firepetal purred and nodded at the tom. “Where would you like to hunt?” she mewed, her paws shifting against the frost to keep warm. At this rate, she would turn to the snow itself! She hoped the tom would get up so they could go to the camp entrance and leave to run around the forest.
Maybe they would discover a lake which they could report to the clan so they could avoid apprentices drowning. She sat down quickly and decided to have a quick groom, craning her neck to a side so she could groom her shoulder. She felt her warm raspy tongue on her shoulder. She sighed then got up, flicking her tail.

Batblood
[Warning for.... not transphobia, just slight confusion and mild annoyance over the situation]
The meeting moved on as usual, but the dark-furred tom frowned as Sparrowstar called forth his fellow Keeper to say something. Immediately something stiffened in Batblood's posture and he became more alert. Had something happened that he wasn't aware of? I swear if it's another rogue- Oh. The frown was switched for an expression of mind surprise, but even that slowly faded away into an unreadable, expressionless face he kept throughout.
That was... new, certainly. He didn't know Bumblebreak, and they had never actually talked, so Batblood couldn't say how much... whatever this was had shown before. But Bumblebreak sure did seem passionate about this. Batblood didn't get the fuzz. He couldn't say he'd care much if anyone tried to refer to him as a molly.
Well, he supposed he would refer to Bumblebreak as a molly if it was such a big deal then. He was sure he didn't want more of a mess around this if anyone caught him saying anything else.

Sootfur turned his gaze abruptly away from her mate, toward Sparrowstar. The leader had just announced something... stunning. "Me... a mentor?" He then glanced at Flameheart, as to confirm that he hadn't dreamt his name being called out loud by the Thunderclan leader. I've just become a warrior, and.. I already have an apprentice? It felt so unbelievable, but since everyone was staring at him waiting for him to spet up... It's true!
His former mentor congratulated briefly with him, and finally Sootfur regained consciousness on what was happening around him. "Thank you, Darkpetal." He replied a bit uncertain, but still happily.
The gray tabby then made his way among his clanmates and found his place in front of the crow. Quietkit, no, Quietpaw was waiting for him with an eager look.
Sootfur took a deep breath and puffed out his chest, hoping to get a good first impression for his first apprentice. Emotion swelled inside him, and he couldn't wait to meet the cat he would be training with for the next few moons.
"Hi, Quietpaw. I am Sootfur, and I'm glad to take you as my apprentice." His grey-blue eyes flicked for a moment to Sparrowstar's, who was staring at the two new apprentices greeting their mentors. I hope I'm doing this alright. "I'll do my best to help you become the best warrior you can be." He promised solemnly, before craning his neck to touch noses with the quiet apprentice.

Quietpaw
Quietpaw watched as Sootfur came out of the crowd to meet her, and she flashed him a smile, her excitement cancelling out her anxiety and embarrassment for now. He seemed really nice, and she just hoped he wouldn’t be too upset when she realized that she was- oh, wait. How was she supposed to respond to him? Suddenly panicking slightly, though she hid it, she glanced at her brother then back at Sootfur, hoping that her new mentor wouldn’t thinks he was being rude for not speaking or answering him.
Giving Sootfur a slightly timid smile, she made the usual gesture she made when telling others she couldn’t speak. She dipped her head slightly and raised a paw to gesture to her mouth and shook her head a slightly, hoping that he would understand what it meant. She wished that she didn’t have to do this in front of everyone, but it couldn’t be helped and her fur grew hot in embarrassment. If there was ever a time she wished she could just disappear, it was now.
(My poor anxious child. Sootfur can go ahead and mistake her for just not wanting to talk to him if he wants. )
The sunlight warmth suddenly stops, she slowly opens her eyes to see Newtlight standing over her. Her black fur shines from the very little light that leaked into the den, her sharp yellow eyes looking down at her. “Good evening, Newtlight,” She says cheerfully in a whisper, so only she can hear.
The shivering, tiny she-kit mewled as she trekked through crisscrossing boughs of foliage, her eyes widening in horror as an owl perched itself on an oak branch adjacent to her. Frozen, unable to mewl any longer, she felt her claws grip the ground, though her mind was telling her to run. Help me, somebody! Her mind cried for help, but she felt paralyzed.
Finally, she summed up enough courage to scurry to the nearest hideout, a small skunk-den in a fallen tree log. But she could feel the prying eyes of the owl burning through her, blazing like fire through her pelt.

~ Rainfall had been thinking about this for awhile. Maybe it was the best course of action. The queen couldn't really see herself returning to being a warrior, not when there seemed to be so many kits in the nursery who needed to be looked out for especially now that it was leaf-fall. The russian blue exited the nursery and headed for the leaders den. Once Rainfall reached Sparrowstars den, the queen peeked her head inside of it and looked around for the clans leader.
"Sparrowstar? Id like to have a word if its not too much trouble." ~

Quietpaw seemed a bit... shy, but Sootfur could see excitement in her eyes and he hoped he would make a good impression with her. He was determined to teach her everything he knew, and was already looking forward to tell Flameheart everything after their first training session. But for now, he had to think about this.
"Uhm..." He mumbled, slightly confused at Quietpaw's weird gestures. He'd never seen anyone move their paws like that, except maybe for... Cowpaw. I may have seen him do it, but I'm not sure... "Well, if you have any questions you're free to ask me. I'll have to think for a bit about organizing your training, but we'll probably start right immediately with a territory tour." He concluded with a wide smile, excited to lead out an apprentice for the first time.

Rainpaw
Rainpaw watched proudly as Quietpaw was called up to the Thunderwillow, his gaze shined proudly on his sister. A little upset about his parents' lack of appearance, but he'd give them an earful later. After all, this was Quietpaw's moment, not theirs. When Sootfur came to introduce himself to the small she-cat, the young tom padded forward, not many cats knew about Quietpaw's... situation.
"Congratulations," he started off with a nod in Quietpaw's direction then turned to look at his sister's mentor. "Sootfur. Not many cats know this, but Quietpaw is unable to talk. I know a few signs I could teach you, but Butterflyblaze is your best bet. I want her to have the best education possible, so do me a favor and don't fail her, will you? Our parents failed her once, I don't want anyone to fail her again."
The way it came out made it sound a tad aggressive, but Rainpaw didn't care. He was looking out for his sister, no one could blame him for that. After all, he seemed to be the only one in the family aside from Flameheart to be out here with them and watch the ceremony.
Flameheart
After Sootfur was called up by Sparrowstar to be a mentor, pride surged through her large body. Her mate was becoming a mentor! And he was mentoring Quietpaw! Quietpaw, who was Quietkit back when she and Rainpaw had rescued her, looked much healthier.
"Go on," she purred and lightly nuzzled her mate forward before watching the pair meet for the first time. "Touch her nose with yours." she mouthed in the gray tabby's direction. He'll be a great mentor, I'm sure of it.
