Creamcloud trotted back into camp. She had fallen asleep while hunting ... so embarrassing. Not only that, but the cold or something messed up her nose, she got lost. At least she had managed to catch a mouse. She set it down on the fresh-kill pile then went looking for her leader, "Sparrowstar?" She called out.
Mossyflower | She/Her |
Mossyflower trotted into camp. She had gotten lost on the territory while looking for some new moss for her nest. "Sparrowstar, I'm back" She meowed calmly, patiently waiting for her leader to appear or say something.
Acornkit looks at her dad, tears in her eyes. "I'm sowry, I'z saw a pwetty thing and chwased it to duh outswide ov camp, then streamtawle found me and brwought me back with lilawcfawl and dwoonstrowm." She explains, looking down in shame.
hearing acornkit explain made the tom huff but he sighed letting some anger cool down" Acornkit you need to be aware of your surroundings i'm angry that you left camp" he replied"something bad could have happen to you if dunestorm and lilacfall and streamtail didn't find you i'd be panicking around i want you to be safe but i'll let the punishment go to sparrowstar to decide if you do it again i might have to ground you from coming into the clearing and playing in the clearing" he added in a worried voice
Now, it was silent. Honestly speaking her experiences and tributes to being warrior weren't enough. Her kits and mate were all in their own world, and they haven't spoken a word to her at all. She felt guilty, she sometimes pleaded to Starclan of what she has done wrong. It was frightening and sorrowful to think about. As soon as she heard her name from afar, she flicked her ears and attentively shot them towards Bumblebreak. Her whiskers twitched in response to this. I've never gone on patrols before for so long.. She warily looked around as all the other cats were bustling around already gathering to get their paws out into the landscape. She clenched her jaws, preventing herself from exploding into pure fury. Her mindset escaped from that as she heard a loud youthful squeak from afar. Right.. I'm with an apprentice?
Her ears flattened against her head, motionlessly staring at the apprentice as Vixenpaw was a bundle of joy. Her ears softly swiveled towards the apprentice. For some reason.. she felt teary-eyed. Her family relationships were mild, but this brought her back to the good days. An innocent apprentice that had no problem with the darkness of the world. She felt like perhaps she might affect Vixenpaw as she had affected Rainpaw with her outburst. She haunched her shoulders, giving herself a deep breath. Being with Vixenpaw should be alright, her moss-green gaze softened just upon Vixenpaws figure. She was being drenched in love. "Hello Vixenpaw, I believe we've never really talked before?" She gave a belly laugh. "And I'm thankful for the nickname you have given me."
She sturdily twisted on her paws as they pointed towards the entrance. "Why don't we go out and catch something for our clan Vixenpaw? I'm sure we'd be a good example for others." Giving a polite smile. It was a happy atmosphere, she was happy.
( I can post the starter at Firefly cove if you'd like! )
Honestly, where was Quail? It felt like she'd been waiting for days! Tapeti tapeti tapped her paws on the ground in anticipation, silently watching every other patrol leave - but her own. Was that normal? I didn't feel like it was! Face squishing together in a pout, Vixenpaw plopped down, observing her white and dark ginger paws tap the ground with little pity patty sounds. She hummed a tune and waited quite patiently, until patiently became boring. If Quail didn't show up, what was she supposed to do? Batty said she wasn't supposed to go out alone, but this was a patrol. That must be an exception to the rules, then! So obviously, if Quailfur didn't show up, she would have to go alone. But did she even know how to hunt? What even was hunt? Oh well, the fluffy apprentice shrugged, she would find out soon enough!
Having not yet noticed the presence of the afore mentioned warrior in the distance, Vixy rose to her paws and decided that she had waited long enough! Time to go!! About to skip her way to the camp exit, the only thing that stopped her was a sudden sound right beside her. "Quail!!"
She squeaked happily upon recognising the warrior, her round blue eyes staring up at her giddily. Quail had arrived! That made her really happy, because that way Batty wouldn't be all grouchy faced!! Or at least, she hoped so. Even if she would've been totally fine on her own too. But with Quail it was bound to be more fun! Vixenpaw was practically buzzing on her paws with excited happiness. She vigorously nodded her head when Quail suggested they catch something for the clan, going 'Mhmmhmmhm!' as she did with squinted eyes. This was going to be so much fun, she could just feel it! As expected, it wasn't walking that the apprentice did behind the warrior, when leaving camp. Instead she bounded along, skipping, like she loved to do, alongside Quailfur (hopefully she knew the way, because Vix sure didn't!).
[ That would be great! Vixenpaw doesn't know the territory very well yet anyway, so it'd make sense c: ]
“Vixenpaw,” Darkpetal meowed,”When a cat dies, that means they’re no longer with us. It’s like sleep, but when something bad happens, and you won’t be able to wake up. But very rarely, you are. Dead cats either go to StarClan if they’re good, or the Dark Forest if they’re bad.” He hoped that Vixenpaw did not share the same naiivity as Acornkit.

Flashes of pelts moved past her in a hurry, her paws tripping over themselves as she got out of the way each and every time. Flashes of red, past those moving furs, met her contrasting sky blue gaze. The newly made apprentice got a heavy, wrong feeling in the pit of her stomach each time the slightest drop of the bright red colour peeked through the crowd who was trying to desperately to cover it; it seemed as such, at least. The only sound that broke through, eventually, was the sound of her name. Vixenpaw. Blue eyes went wide as they searched for the owner of this voice, mouth lightly agape. Who was it? A leaving figured caught her eye, moving away slowly with a heap of other apprentices, some of which she (hardly) recognised the names of. Uncertainty prickled her fur when she looked back to the frenzied warriors. But she made herself small, lips pressing together in a pout, as she suspiciously edged toward and closer to this much older feline… Foxpaw, was it? She glanced up with a daring eye, as if she’d fall the moment she lifted her gaze. And soon enough, they were led inside the large but decidedly icky den of the apprentices. It was mesmerising.
Distracted, Vixenpaw edged forward with her eyes now lifted to the roof, watching it in amazement with a mouth now truly agape. It was so big! She could hardly believe it! And the nests; they were almost twice her size! With a curious paw she poked the hem of on of the nests, pulling it back quickly with light disdain and surprise written across her face when she was met with old moss and the dirty smell of sweat. YucK.
Distracted, the young kit-apprentice barely noticed Cinderpaw’s words. It wasn’t until she heard some bigger cat speak that her head wiped around once more with a look of surprised confusion. Padding up to this feline who had suggested a game of hide and seek, she looked up at them with round eyes. “I thought we were going to learn about StarClan!”
The fluffy kit complained lightly, head tilting in mild confusion and disappointment. It wasn’t as if she got a clear answer however, as soon enough the big cat from before- Foxpaw- addressed this very feline. Not knowing what’s been happening, Vixenpaw couldn't be bothered in remembering their name. In fact, Vixenpaw felt weird. Very weird. Everyone was talking around her, not looking at her, and she didn’t even know what was happening. How was that fair? The fluffy spotted apprentice slunk away and ploffed down somewhere further back, watching the crowd interact with a pout and a frown.
Her ears swivelled. Round eyes lifted from the ground. Curiously, she looked at Darkpetal who had begun speaking moments before. She was speaking of something unfamiliar to the new apprentice, something she had never heard of before. Died. “What is 'died'?”
The kitten pipped up with genuine curiosity, fixated so on that single term she barely registered the rest of what Darkpetal was saying. Something about StarClan and a Dark Forest, and good and bad, and coming back? What? “Is ‘died’ like a trip?”
She pipped up again, head tilting as her voice grew squeakier in confused curiosity. “Darkpetal how do you ‘died’?”
Finally getting back up to her paws, fluffy paws wriggled themselves closer to the big cat, past all the other kits and apprentice, eyes staring up at the warrior with an unfaltering gaze and curiosity. She didn’t like being confused.
Stormpaw flicked his tail " i'll talk to Butterflyblaze and see if she[he] could help me with blazekit" stormpaw meowed" Mute means the cat can't speak at all all so using sign language is their way of communicating" he meowed to acornkit" hm? If blazekit can learn to get around and understand what he is learning he would make a great warrior but you can't force Blazekit to become a warrior starclan might have a different plan in mind for him but who knows either way I know Blazekit will serve the clan somehow" he replied

Rainpaw
Darkpetal was someone who had a lot of patience, but Rainpaw supposed that was because he had trained an apprentice before. Vixenpaw, for an apprentice, was extremely clueless about the afterlife of the Clans. Did she never learn about StarClan or the Dark Forest when she was a kit? "Cats go to the StarClan or the Dark Forest. Like Darkpetal said, StarClan is the place where good cats go. That'll be where Redfur and her kits go. The Dark Forest is where the bad cats go. Now- dying is like a trip, yes. It's a trip to the afterlife. Death... no one can stop it. No one can stall it. It's something no cat can avoid, no matter how hard we try. There are multiple ways a cat can die... through birth, like Redfur and her kits, through... sickness, through murder, through... getting hit by a monster. Really any way. Even eating poisoned or sick prey."
Although the questions were directed toward Darkpetal, Rainpaw wanted to get his mind off of the chaotic den. And this was one of the ways he thought of. "Death isn't something any cat should want."
Turning his attention back to Stormpaw, the young brown tabby gave him a quick nod of acknowledgment. Butterflyblaze was a good teacher, so he'd certainly try to help Stormpaw communicate with Blazekit if he could help it.

Wide eyed, and brows knitted together, the scrawny kit shoved his way through the camp entrance. How long had he been gone? Did anyone notice his absence? Did his attempt at seeing if anyone cared go unnoticed? Crackle'kit anxiously padded towards the center of camp, before spinning in a few circles to take in the scenery. It was quiet, the clearing nearly barren. Where was everyone? Certainly someone would come over and tell him how they'd been worried about him. Or... Maybe not- maybe they didn't care... Maybe no one even batted an eye at his absence...
After a few moments of waiting, hope slowly waning from his yellow eyes, he sat down defeated: overly large ears drooping low. The thought of being alone and unloved forever bore down like a boulder on his narrow shoulders, and a few tears stung at the edge of his vision. In one last desperate attempt, the kit raised his head and called into the open air. " Hello?" his voice slightly quivering with emotion. " Im back!"

FrostFeather smiled at the group of cats pondering the clearing as she grabbed a squirrel. Finding a nice place in the clan where ferns overlooked a few boulders with leafs scattered atop them she lay, watching the clan converse.

Acornkit huffed. ¨hawks aren't in forests silly! They go on mountains, and stuff¨ Acornkit said.
Lotuskit had been playing around, like usual when she saw another kit. What?! Her name is Acornkit too?! She had to meet this new cat, so she ran up to her. "Hi! I can't believe your name is Acornkit too! My cousin is named Acornkit!" She grins at her, bouncing up and down.

Acornkit turned around. ¨WHAT!¨ Who even is this kit? And why does someone have my name! ¨Thats MY name! They cant have it!¨
