It means "Luck" in Mandarin, a Twoleg language. Though I am not very lucky." She flexed her abnormally long claws, retracting and sheathing them with ease. "You guys forest-cats? Y'know, those weird groups of cats that speak to ghosts and stuff?" She pried at her spiked collar, itching to remove it.

Honeyfreckle looked just as nervous as he was. Beastpaw wasn't having this. He wanted to get home, and he wouldn't get this close only to be stopped by whoever this was. "Yeah, we're moor cats." He stepped closer to Yùnqi. Whatever mandarin was, it wasn't something he cared about. "Forest cats? Like Thunderclan? I mean, we don't live in the forest." That was a given, wasn't it? He had just said he was a moor cat. "Starclan aren't ghosts!" His lips curled back with disgust. "And we're not weird." No one insulted the clans and Starclan. His brother was up there, Ashmama was up there. This was not the time for an idiot loner to bother them. "You leave us alone, you understand?" He stepped closer to Yùnqi, his own claws unsheathing. Sure, he didn't have any training, but that wouldn't stop him from proving this molly wrong. Besides, if it went wrong, Honeyfreckle was there to help him.

“Hey, Beast’Paw, calm down. We shouldn’t fight them. How would we get back home if we get seriously injured? Yes, they shouldn’t have insulted StarClan, but look at them. They’ve clearly fought a lot, and you can’t blame a loner for being ignorant. Nobody has taught them correctly.” She turned to Yùnqì. “It’s nice to meet you.” Despite this, she was still internally screaming. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

Yùnqì hissed, unsheathing her own claws. "Do you really wish to pick a fight with me? I mean, I've been fighting since I was a little kit." She left out the part of her backstory that included her killing her own brother when she was four moons old out of jealousy. Licking her lips, the molly's gaze flitted between the two forest cats, debating who, if a fight began, she should attack first, though she didn't want to throw the first claw. "StarClan, huh? Don't believe in them, never did. I believe in what my name means: luck. And I know you don't live in the forest. Don't treat me like a little kit." She took a step forward and her muscles rippled through her pelt, showing just how strong she was. Her many battle scars often dismayed cats looking for a fight, but these scrawny forest cats seemed to actually dare to pick a fight with her. "You wanna get home, do you, moor-cats? Well, here's the thing: I'm the only cat that can get you home. If I leave you alone, you'll be wandering the alleyways and Twoleg dens until you die. Do you understand?"

She curled her lips back into a menacing grimace, then sat down, licking her paw and running it over her ear, suddenly feeling stylish.

"It's nice to meet you; likewise."

Calm down? Calm down? What was she, crazy? This gal deserved every bad thing coming for her. But Honeyfreckle was older than him, she deserved his respect. Respect was a relative term, was it not? Wasn't it plausible that he could, well, ignore her for now and deal with all the trouble of not listening later? It certainly, was, but the longer he sat there, the more the fight drained from his eyes. Soon enough, he had sat back down, listening as Honeyfreckle began to speak to the other molly. He didn't care much at this point. Beastpaw was stressed, and his lack of food was making him irritable. The young toms thick frame seemed too large for his body now. And he was so hungry.

So, what they were ignorant. It wasn't his fault that they were an idiot, but it didn't mean that he could ignore the obvious jibes towards the clans. "Why would I care." He bit back the rest of his words as Yùnqì began to speak again. "Oh, wow, woe is you." Like any of this backstory stuff actually mattered to him. It was weird to hear a rogue talk about Starclan. Those he had met in the tunnels hadn't known about them, how did this one? "If you didn't think we lived in the forest, why'd you ask?" Mousebrain. Ha. "We don't need you and we won't die. We can find it ourselves." The moor was right there. He could see it, sure it might take them a few days of wondering, but they would find the border, and then they'd be back home. What was she doing now? Grooming? Was she crazy? "All you got to do is point us in the right direction. It's really not that hard."

Yùnqì's eyes glew with a certain air of mystery; as if she knew more than her physical disposition showed. She flicked her feathery, long tail and looked at Beastpaw as if he was an ignorant little kit.

"Do you really think that--Nevermind." She beckoned him over a pile of some plastic, sniffing the air for prey. Her paws itched to get back to hunting, as she hadn't eaten for days in pursuit of these two cats. "I can tell you're hungry. Let's find something to eat. And then we can discuss the whereabouts of your moor-running friends." Her voice had a certain snarky edge to it, as if she disapproved of the mere phrase "moor-runners". The smell of a small shrew enticed her towards a bucket of Twoleg trash, and she licked her lips. Without waiting, she pounced on the shrew, her legs working with both agility and dexterity. Delivering the killing bite, she thought, was the easiest. She tossed the meager piece of prey to Beastpaw, her eyes glowering. "Eat up. We've got a long way to go."

Honey’Freckle sighed. “Thank you for helping us.” She said, a slight apologetic tone in her voice. You’re brave Beast’Paw, but sometimes you need to learn to just accept help and deal with whatever the other cat is saying.

Don’t be stupid. They were close to home, after way too many moons of being lost, and if he was going to let being tired and slightly temperamental was going to screw all that up he might as well be a rabbit. Fun fact: Beastpaw was not a rabbit. Blue eyes stared at Yùnqì as she suggested the four of them gathered food. Alright, he did like food. He supposed he’d believe her for now. She hadn’t tried to kill them yet, which wasn’t too bad of a start. Yeah, he’d be nice, that wasn’t too difficult a few moons ago “Thanks, lucky cat!” He’d call her that now. He couldn’t quite remember her names, something about yawning maybe? It sounded like something a twoleg would say, nevertheless, he’d try. She’d said something about luck earlier, so it would have to do. He didn’t like the way he said moor-runners while suggesting them to hunt, but he kept his mouth shut. Honeyfreckle seemed to be slightly disappointed in him at the moment, and he didn’t want to make that worse. His nose twitched slightly with disgust.

Looking at the shrew, he swallowed down his hunger. “We have to leave soon, I’ll hunt on the way.” He gestured to Honeyfreckle. Letting her know that if she wanted it, she could take the shrew. He didn’t like shrews. They were gross. “Let’s go!” He turned back towards the heather ahead of them and stepped into the heath.

She glanced at the shrew, then shook her head and went next to Beast’Paw. “Yùnqì, are you still coming?” She asked kindly. “Of course, if you don’t want to that’s fine.” She said honestly. Aaa, I hope that didn’t come off as rude!!!
