Oleander’s Burrow
In a tunnel leading to a burrow, dwells a young kit named Oleander. Inside is a nest of feathers, moss and fur where Oleander sleeps, a pile of prey that she has stockpiled and a hole that leads to a small river, sometimes the sardines and minnows dwelling in the river end up in the waterhole.
Oleander currently dwells alone.

Re: Oleander’s Burrow
Oleander fidgeted with a feather. Today she would go hunting. Even though she was only 3 moons old, she knew Ho to hunt for food. Exiting the tunnel, she sniffed the icy ground, catching the scent of a bird. A robin. Oleander followed the robin, and killed it in one fell swoop. Where she was led had the scent of mice, so Oleander decided to dig down slowly, identifying a family of mice. She killed the mice, and returned successfully to her burrow. Maybe I could join one of those clans? Oleander thought, and if I do, I should bring an offering of prey so there’s more chance of being accepted. Among the pieces of prey she caught, she decided that the robin she caught, a brown squirrel, a chubby vole and a petite rabbit would be her offerings, but those were majority of her prey pile, the rest being mice. If their leader won’t accept me, then that’s fine! I can survive on my own.

Re: Oleander’s Burrow
Oleander wasn’t able to find the leaders of the clans, so she retreated back to her burrow, sighing. Her prey pile was fairly stocked. Five mice, some minnows and three sardines was considered “stocked” right? The small kit pulled a sardine off of the prey pile, and ate it. It felt bland, and she headed back to sleep, before hearing a splash in the waterhole. Holy mackerel, it’s a mackerel! She caught the large mackerel, which was twice her size and weight. It took much effort to pull it out.“This’ll last me for a while!” Oleander chirruped to herself, purring.

Re: Oleander’s Burrow
Minx couldnt help but noticing a overly-sized burrow, to big to be a hares and to small to fit a fox. She sniffed the air before looking inside noticing the small kitten. "Oh- um...Are you ok? Its not best to live all alone being so little, I would know." She spoke, trying not to spook the kitten

“I’m fine,” Oleander insisted,”I can handle myself.” She showed the new cat her bed of moss and feathers, her prey pile, and her running waterhole. “See?”

Oleander nodded. “I think I can make the burrow a little bit larger.” Her tiny paws went to digging, and within a few minutes, the burrow was larger. “Now all I need to do is find materials to make you a nest!”

"Oh kiddo, I mean at my den, I live a little ways away but not to far, theres plenty of space for your burrowing." She explained, laughing a little at the kits tiny mistake

“Where is your den?” Oleander asked, her eyes sparkling with curiousity,”I can make a tunnel to it!”

"You tunnel to it and it would be quicker for me to walk." Minx spoke, not a hint of exaggeration in her tone
