Well that answered her question at least. Quietpaw nodded with a small smile. She might not be able to be much of a help in comforting someone due to her inability to talk, but she could at least listen when others needed to talk about something, and she found that tended to at least calm them down, if not cheer them up. Well she was happy to stay if Sharpeye needed her to, there wasn’t much for her to do at the moment, and at least she was doing something useful by cheering a fellow clan mate up.

Oh, that’s right, Sharpeye probably didn’t know that she was mute. She gave a shy smile and shook her head, gesturing to her mouth with a paw. Gestures were the only way she could communicate with others, but even then it was difficult. She shrugged and made and nodded down at her paws, indicating that she could use gestures to try and talk if he wanted.

No one was reassigned to him so that part didn't matter. But the new deputy did. When Thrushfurs name was called out, Hailhawk's ears perked and his eyes lit up happily for the tom who was just appointed the new role. "Thrushfur! Thrushfur!" He chanted with his clanmates.
