-Tallpaw- @NinjaBloss - @Rizo @Umbreon I reported the patrol because both of your cats were very late
The young she-cat had run all the way back to camp and truthfully had not looked back to see if the others were with her. She was quite angry and looked it when she made her way to her mentor. “Slytiger, Spiritfire and what’sitsface were so late getting back to the to meeting area that when Spiritfire finally got back we left right away, I think the boarders are fine though. I didn’t come back earlier because I didn’t want to leave without a warrior.”
Padding up to Vixensnarl, the glossy white she-cat caught the end of the report and let out a hiss of annoyance. "Instead of placing blame where it need not be, how about you show some respect to your superiors by being honest. Your mentor did not teach you how to mark borders. That is not my fault. Nor is it my fault that Deadclaw decided to leave the entire patrol up to a single warrior and an untrained apprentice. Instead of remaining silent, you could have used your voice and told me that you had not been taught, so maybe I would have actually known I had to instruct you. Now I will take responsibility for the tardiness of our patrol, I was too lenient with both you and Deadclaw. It will not happen again," she spat, frustration bubbling in her voice. Turning her orange eyes to Slytiger, she dipped her head respectfully. "The border has been marked, and there are no signs of intrusion. I apologize for my leniency, i will be far more strict in the future, and I will willingly take any punishment you deem necessary," she mewed, her voice quickly flipping to a steady calm tone.

Shadowfur padded back into camp. His patrol had taken much longer than expected, but he still believed they were on time. He padded over to Vixensnarl and made his report. “Our border with RiverClan is marked. I have nothing significant to report. All the patrol members showed up and participated sufficiently.” Dipping his head, he padded away.

the large tom padded forward. A slightly ashes expression on his face from his failed previous hunting trip with the shield. Shadowfur I’ve caught a thrush and a rabbit and dropped them off at the prey pile.
Shadowfur turned to face Wolfwhisper as he approached and reported to him. The Enforcer nodded, his green eyes slitted. “Very well. I hope you’ve learned your lesson here, because next time I may not be so lenient. Dismissed.”
Fallenflower and Songbreeze had both shown back up in camp, which meant that Shadowfur wanted explanations for why they didn’t complete their patrols. The patrol Fallenflower had been on was a complete bust, with Shadowfur having been unable to find any prey. At least Poisonpaw had been responsible on the other patrol, even if Shadowfur’s opinion of him soured after the meeting.
“Fallenflower and Songbreeze!” he called. “The two of you vanished from your respective hunting patrols. I want an explanation, and it better be good. Otherwise, you’ll both be punished.”

Please excuse me for how late this is,my life has been extremely busy lately and I do apologize.
The Tom made his way back to camp,Paws slightly muddy. “Vixensnarl,Pur patrol is complete.” the bengal cleared his throat. “Daypaw…Kinda learned how to hunt. He did as told but tripped. The frog got away but I will be teaching him more in depth later. He did fairly well for trying for his first time in a swamp.” He looked at the Enforcer,Green eyes scanning her up and down. Frostscreech tapped his foot roughly on the ground, closing his maw as he finished speaking. He waited for her to respond.

She pads over after setting the vole and the rabbit that she caught down. "I went to far from the meeting spot and after I caught my second prey, I realized you two left already." She explains calmly, not knowing what else to say to make it better since it was the truth.

Oliveglow had returned from his hunting patrol, successfully depositing his prey in the prey pile before looking for Vixensnarl. Usually he relished in speaking with cats that Dawnstar held in such high regard... but this was different. A certain someone had decided that basic warrior duties were not for her. The tom was not going to let her get away with it. Shadowclan did not need another warrior to go unpunished for their unending laziness.
"Vixensnarl, there's something I wanted to run by you. Fallenflower failed to complete the hunting patrol with me. She showed up when you called her, but disappeared when it was time to actually do the work. I went on without her." He bowed his head at the enforcer, leaving her to deal with her own duties unless there was anything she wanted from him.
Vixensnarl's ears swiveled in Oliveglow's direction as the molly approached to report her patrol. A frown pulled on her maw at the mention of Fallenflower not completing the patrol, especially since she had seen her in camp the other day. "Good job, Oliveglow, and thank you for reporting this to me. You're dismissed."

After depositing her catch on the prey pile, she made her way over to where Vixensnarl was waiting. "Both me and Nightshiver caught one piece of prey each, and they are where they are supposed to be: in the prey pile." Slatefur meowed. She hesitantly stepped away, not sure if that was all.
Green eyes tracked Slatefur as she deposited her catch alongside Nightshiver. Vixensnarl inclined her head at the brief report, pleased that the cats had actually caught something and not lied about it. "Good. You're dismissed."

Shadefrost's report was brief, though a bit overly cheerful for Vixensnarl's tastes. "You're dismissed."

Vixensnarl's lip curled in a displeased sneer as Tallpaw reported the patrol late, and Spiritfire hurried behind. "I'm not here to listen to your bickering. Tallpaw, I'll be seeing you at punishments and you can give me the excuse there. Spiritfire, you'll have to explain to Dawnstar what happened. Since the patrol was actually reported, however, there may be room for leniency."

Shadowfur's report was short, thought it was annoying that he simply walked away without waiting to be dismissed like everyone else. Clearly, the promotion had gone to his head, and she would have to knock him down soon enough. Vixensnarl would recommend a demotion, but he had been taking out hunting patrols which were his only saving grace.

Vixensnarl eyed Frostscreech as he came in muddy and noted that while he stated Daypaw let a frog get away, he had nothing to show for the patrol himself. "Could you not find any prey?"

Shadowfur glanced down at the prey being set before him. Songbreeze must have anticipated her punishment and gone hunting. The Enforcer was impressed by this; most ShadowClan cats would never take such initiative and responsibility. His tail flicked upon hearing her excuse, and the respect that had been building in those moments vanished like a flame being blown out.
“You’re a warrior; you should be able to make smarter decisions than that,” he growled. “When you got back to camp, you should’ve immediately come and seen me. While I appreciate and respect your initiative in hunting on your own to make up for your missed patrol, I still feel you must be punished for your clear lapses in judgment. Put your prey on the pile, and then go to the nursery and find a kit to play with. Perhaps being around kits will teach you why it’s important for warriors to act sensibly. Report to me when you’ve finished.
( @Songbreeze Make a post on the ShadowClan Prey Pile thread of Songbreeze bringing her prey to the pile. Make sure you adjust the number accordingly! Then, find a kit for Songbreeze to interact with. She should have at least three posts interacting with this kit. Once this is done, have her report back to Shadowfur here. She will have 3 weeks to complete this punishment and report back! )

Shadowfur emerged from the warriors’ den and yawned. It was time for him to take out another hunting patrol. Scanning the clearing, he quickly selected the warriors he’d be taking. Hopefully they both showed up and participated.
“ Sagewhisker ( @Brightstorm☆ ) and Owlstripe ( @The_CatLady )!” he called. “Come join me for a hunting patrol. We’ll be going to the Mourning Ruins.” Perhaps he could find that rat from the other day.
( Your cat will be punished if they don’t complete this patrol! If you want to be replaced, please let me know by 11:59 PM ET on January 21! )
