Aldermane turned to be at Goldenpaw's side rather than waiting for him to step to him. He has to keep his pelt from bristling at the one proximity. He didn't like cats being in his space, but if he could prevent the apprentice from getting lost, he'd sacrifice his comfort.
"We'll leave when you're ready."

Aldermane breathed deeply before starting his way back to the border, more careful than before to keep pace with Goldenpaw.
"When I was at the border last, I didn't find any signs of intrusion recently, so we can go straight to marking the borders when we get there. This doesn't mean to drop our guards, as something could hapoen while we're there, and it wouldn't do us any good to be caught off guard."
He was mostly speaking to fill the silence, hoping that if they chatted (as much as he hated pointless chattering), he wouldn't be able to lose track of the apprentice again.

Creepercall finished marking her portion of the border, making her way back to the party. She took a moment to assess Gorsepaw's work.
After a moment, she spoke. "Very good. See, it's as I told you. You performed remarkably."
Creepercall stretched, her joints aching slightly.
"Well, we've been out here quite long enough, I believe. The border seems secure."
