The deputy listened intently as Twilightstar explained her views on the new rank. He completely agreed with the changes she brought up and nodded to show support. "I'm in full agreement with those changes. They don't need to be considered above warriors to do their jobs properly, which might even help them if they don't have more power. Also, cats might be more willing to come to them with issues that they wouldn't want to come to you or me with," Fallownose said with a considering look.
"I also don't think apprentices should be allowed to be Guardians. They should be able to enjoy their apprenticeship without having to worry about Clan problems like Guardians might have to."
@Moonraven [sorry for the delay, I forgot this existed for a hot minute]

Ah! It appeared Brightkit did have something to say. Cowpaw blinked in surprise at the question. Certainly, what one could consider a headscratcher. "I.. we do not raise.. spiders.. but.. I think you may be on to something?" He confessed, lifting a paw to touch his chin in thought. He did not know much about spiders or well, really what .. they did at all besides their webs were useful. Perhaps, if he gave them a comfortable spot, they would not leave and would build a web! For him to harvest! It would also be clean, much better than discarded cobwebs, surely? "We will have to test that out.. " Cowpaw mumbled, primarily to himself. "I shall attempt.. and bring back results.. ! After.. after this, though, of course..!" He chirped.
Huh. It appeared Risingkit had wandered off. His eyebrows furrowed together. Well, alright then. He could attend an official lesson later, if he so desired. Waiting a few brief periods of time to see if Littlekit had anything to ask, he nodded his head and moved onto poppy flowers.
Pushing a poppy flower forward. It was slightly withered; the cold weather having taken its effect on it. Nonetheless, that did not matter. "This.. is a poppy flower.. it grows best... in new-leaf and green-leaf... but, the thing is we are not... focused on the actual flower... " Cowpaw shifted the flower around to have the poppyhead face forward, showing the bountiful seeds. "What is important.. are the seeds inside the poppyhead.. which can be kept year-round... and there is plenty, one can shake the flower to get the loose ones.. or dig their paw in and retrieve them... I prefer the first one... if I am able to do so.. it makes less of a mess..." He explained, leaning back to let his words sink in. He gave an example by shaking a few seeds lose and letting the two observe them up close.
"The poppy seeds are used.. to soothe one's pain.. they are to be eaten.. but one must be careful. Only a few should be ate.. less you deal with dire effects.. One is typically what I would give for a minor wound or for someone small.. like a kit..! If someone is bigger or has a more severe wounds.. I may give them two.. three is only for intense wounds... and for warriors.. Besides soothing pain, it can also soothe shock or distress... and make someone sleepy."[/COLOR][/FONT]

Bumblekit exhaled at his question being answered cheerily. He was kinda excited to see what would happen if they actually did do the spider thing too. Ah... though some cats might freak out if one ever escaped. Oh well. He continued listening intently to Cowpaw, putting the thought aside.
(sorry this reply is short and late, i had a lot to do this week haha also i believeee? that they talked about poppies already but i'm not sure!)
"Because..."Moorkit paused thinking as hard as she could, "...Is it because we're more younger than the rest of the cats and that we need more strength and the queens need it so they can feed the kits that are born and the elders need it because they're getting weaker..." Moorkit said answering Twilightstar question.

@Moonraven
Twilightstar nodded her head in agreement with Moorkit's answer, although quickly fixed the last one. "I would ever tell an Elder that they're weaker, they might find it rather rude. Elders are older, and their age and sometimes injuries slow them down, but if ever necessary even the oldest elder could still fight like a warrior."
Twilightstar looked over at Littlekit who left the answering up to Moorkit. The leader briefly went over what they already learned and then brought up a new rule. "Who knows what a gathering is? And what's the important code that all of the clans follow?"

Wolfkit looked up from his task toward Dustbunny, he nodded, "Okay Dusty!" he chirped as his tail flicked back and forth when he got praised. His golden eyes filled with joy, though he went back to carefully digging, though making sure that he didn't dig too deep, he didn't want to upset Dusty! Once he was done he chirped and turn his gaze back to Dusty, "How did I do?!" he asked trying to sound cheerful but there was still some nervousness in his voice.
Dusty? That was cute. Her mother would always call her little bunny as a nickname, one of the reasons Dustbunny had requested the prefix she had, but Dusty was new. After digging for a bit, Dustbunny beamed as the tom finished digging out his hole and requested some nervous feedback. "I think you did wonderfully, you listen well and followed all my directions. You have great concentration and the makings of a good tunneler." Dustbunny purred. After staring down at his hole for a moment she figured it might be a good idea to make a little tunnel. "Well, we're done with our lesson so you are free to do as you please, although if you want you can help me dig a little tunnel?"
littlekit listened then opening her mouth" a gathering is where all the cats come together to talk and make friends and every cat represents their own clan!. the important code is......... respect each-other?" she replied not knowing what the important code is
@Moonraven @Lunalis
The blood was getting more visible by the second, scarlet droplets trickling down the underside of Berrypaw's left forearm by the time she'd made it back to WindClan camp, and then hesitantly into Cowpaw's den. And... by stars, it hurt. How had she not noticed it sooner? How, and why, had she gone through with fighting Frozenmarigold even after the vulture's talons had ripped a gash into her arm. But Berrypaw knew why, and how. Because she'd not noticed the pain in her anxiousness to pass, and then she'd been too cowardly to deny Frozenmarigold's spar, because how could she go another moon without being named a warrior? Berrypaw had recently turned twelve moons, the prime age that most apprentices got their names. If she didn't get hers...
Merely the thought alone brought fear and hesitation to the fluffy apprentice's heart. She could almost entirely imagine Fallownose and Peachfrost's disappointment with her. Her parents, the cats who'd come to mean so much to her. And she, who'd started her apprenticeship late due to something that barely counted as an excuse, and then on top of that, if she finished late as well? Nearly trembling and on the verge of tears with the vision of Fallownose and Peachfrost disappointed in her, it was only after a few moments of quiet shaking when Berrypaw recalled her surroundings. She was in the medicine den, front left leg throbbing with pain. Blinking glassy, heterochromatic eyes a few times to clear them of dew, the speckled molly glances around the den for WindClan's medicine cat. "C-Cowpaw?"
For a moment, it was there. A fire in Littlekit's blazing eyes that matched their burning hues, and yet... no sooner had the calico blinked than the fire was gone, quenched, washed away by a tide of defeat. Cheeks puffing up as they often did when Lightningkit disapproved of something, she frowned, openly scowling at her companion. Why was she being so difficult? Yes, requesting another mentor was fine and good, smart even! But... what if she didn't survive her first mentor?
It was true that Lightningkit's mind had a predisposition to jump to the more macabre scenarios right from the get go, but truth be told, she simply couldn't help it. Featherfoot's kind words of forgiveness and Cowpaw's reassurance that she was alright, that she had probably been too late anyways - words that Featherfoot had reinforced and proven to be true - had done wonders for her mental health. It would be a lie, however, to boldly claim that gone were the nights of sleepless terrors haunting her dreams, gone was the guilt that made a home at the pit of her stomach, jolting her mind at the most inopportune of moments. Because they were not gone, not really. Toned down to a more bearable weight, a more tolerable condition? Absolutely... but not gone, not really.
It did not matter that Lightningkit had been too late. What mattered was that she had not known she was, she simply did not care. Forgot. Left a clanmate to die for selfish, petty gains. And that simple action, no matter how much she tried, forced her mind to the worst possible scenario whenever there was a potential for tragedy once again. This frustrated her to no ends, and Littlekit's inability to understand just how important it was to avoid needless accidents and potential deaths did little so assuage this deluge of paranoia that threatened to make her still stable mind wild and erratic in its need to be calmed. Assured that she had been heard, and the situation would be handled promptly.
Taking a deep breath - like Cowpaw had taught her - she closed her eyes, remembering the tom's comforting touch, her mother's loving embrace, and the StarClan warrior's warm nuzzle, bringing all of those she loved into mind, knowing they were the center of her small universe, the calm in the sea of chaos that stormed through her young mind. Almond shaped eyes opening, Lightningkit settled her gaze on the defeated kit before her once more, her shoulders sagging momentarily before she stood tall once more, defiant albeit much less intense than she had been moments before.
"Fine. You want to give up... that's on you. Just..." she paused here, turning her head haughtily away as her ears flattened against her head, unable to completely shake away her anger at the older kit just yet. "Let me know when you decide you are done giving up. Deal?"
Turning a side eye towards Littlekit without budging her head, she perked her ears slightly, letting her companion know she was serious about her offer. Giving up was... static. Defeated. An unwillingness to move forward, an irony, she supposed, considering that was the exact problem her denmate seemed to be having. She didn't know if suddenly gaining a spark of determination, of a willingness to try and conquer the moors would finally give her what she needed to run the endless fields WindClan called their home but... she was always willing to lend a helping paw in trying to make that happen as long as Littlekit was back in, trying her hardest to get there.
➵ mossfly ❀⋆˚₊⁻∘・
[sorry this is short still tryin to get a feel for him tbh]
// ➵ @cottagecake
mossfly's eyes darted around the clearing as he sat down. lately he had felt more jittery than usual but as he was just in the clearing he felt a bit more at peace. he had only been a warrior for a couple moons and was still DEFINITELY getting used to it, he had only just started getting comfortable as an apprentice and now this?? with all the responsibility and such.. it scared him. but windclan was a strong clan.. he thought. he hadn't payed much attention to most things windclan as he was mostly just hidden among things here and there. he felt at ease while in camp, so that was something at the very least. he had been trying to control his breathing but suddenly his fur stood up as he felt a presence behind him that was unknown. he quickly turned himself around and backed away slightly to see whoever this cat behind him was.
Soot’kit bounced around the nursery, chasing a mossball in his wake, tumbling into nests and flinging moss scraps all over the floor. His tail held high as he finally pounced ontop of the ball of moss, greatly dwindled in size compared to when we first made it.
Ashclaw kept licking his injuries then hearing pawsteps then a voice the tom paused and looked up to respond" if you want to help me clean my wounds your welcomed to" he responded the continuing again cleaning his wound the tom flinched as one of the injuries stung
~*Littlekit*~
she/her -female
WIndclan kit
5 and a half moons old
Littlekit purred as she rolled in the cool dirt unaware she went over moorpaws lines the molly kept rolling then looking at moorpaw as she spoke a smile appeared as she stayed on her back" rolling in dirt" she replied
[Sorry this is a bit late]
Lilyantler stepped closer to Ashclaw and settled beside the warrior, looking the warriors wounds over and began to help him carefully clean his wounds, trying to be careful not to cause too much pain to his Clanmate. He pause for a moment. "How did you get hurt, if you don't mind me asking?"
There was concern in his tone and his eyes, even as he went back to cleaning Ashclaw's wounds. Hopefully they weren't too bad, but it might be a good idea for him to see Cowpaw to prevent infection, but he'd hold off on suggesting this.
.
.
Moorpaw moved her paw from where Littlekit was rolling to avoid having her paw be squished or the kit to be scratched as she rolled closer to the dusky apprentice. She stuck her tongue out at the kit for a brief moment. "Looks fun."
She looked back over at where Littlekit bad rolled over the lines she'd scoured into the dirt and an idea formed in her head, but thought better of it. She doubted the kit would find rolling over lines in the dirt to be that fun if she just wanted to roll at her own pace.
But.... part of her also turned to the fact she really wanted to roll in the dirt now.
The kit wouldn't judge her, would she?
She chewed her lip for a moment. "You wouldn't tell anyone if I joined you in rolling around, would you?"
It wasn't very mature of her to do.....
