Foxflurry had a goal in mind today, and for once there weren't any nerves overtaking her as she marched towards the apprentices den. It would be her first time going, first time ever making her way to that part of the territory other than on her original tour. Despite the chill in the air, and the clouds covering the grey sky, there would be no better time to go than now. Before the pain and anguish set in and returning to the willows and graves would be too painful. Ginger and white head peeked into the apprentices den and a singular name found its way into the dim light. "Crowpaw?"
Sudden stroke of anxiety as she waited for a response. A sudden moment that seemed to call for her to leave and apologize, make her want to pray that he wasn't here, but he needed this. If no one else would take him, she would bring him there. "Do you want to go to Willow's Rise?" What had originally meant to be a command turned into a question, and, as she ducked her head out of the apprentices den, green eyes turned towards the rest of the clearing, stopping twice on two others who might be willing to join their little patrol of sadness.
Awaiting for his response, she walked slowly towards Cinderpaw. The last time they had talked had been during the incident, but confidence had began to blossom today, and this was the best way to apologize that she could think of.the word sorry is not in her vocabulary"We're going to Willow's Rise." That was it, a soft declaration before turning to look for the other. It was meant to be a query, but the longer she stood there, the more she felt like any more words would be a disgrace. "Sootfur, we're going to Willow's Rise. Care to tag along?" That was it, she was done. Now all she had to do was wait.
Crowpaw
As much- or rather, as little sleep he got last night, Crowpaw wanted more. He didn't want to be a Mr. McGrumpy Pants, but he felt like that's all he was the entire morning. His days were full of laziness and all he did was avoid his father and mother. In fact, he was even avoiding the rest of the Clan now since his sister's death the previous day. He couldn't face them after trying to attack his own mother in front of them. With as little as the Clan cared for his sister when she was alive, he was furious so many cats came to mourn her. Cinderpaw- her presence he didn't mind. She was his friend, why would he not like her to be there?
The young tom's thoughts came to an abrupt halt as an orange and white figure entered the apprentice's den. The fur along his spine rose, making him look like a cactus. Crowpaw's green eyes darkened with horror and narrowed with fear. Rapid breathing once again affected him. For several long moments, he thought he saw the fox covered in his sister's blood again.
He said nothing as he processed what was being said. "Do you want to go to Willow's Rise?"O-oh... Shaking his head vigorously to rid himself of the bloody image of the fox and his shredded sister, Rainpaw fluffed up his pelt against the cold and nodded. "G-give... give me a minute... I- I'll, uh... I'll g-go..."
He watched Foxflurry approach Sootfur and Cinderpaw and closed his eyes, flattening himself against the cold snowy ground all the while to try calming himself down. I'm such a mouse-brain... I'm scared of my own Clanmates... Passing a shudder through his body, the young tom slowly (and shakily) stood up and walked over to the small group of warriors, keeping his eyes on Foxflurry's paw steps to avoid eye contact with the rest of ThunderClan. "Tell me if you guys see any flowers when we're heading there."

[Petalkit]▪︎Curious and joyfull▪︎5 moons▪︎interest in herbs▪︎
The small kit walked in...a hard smell of herbs hit her as she thinked...it smells good...Petalkit walked around and looked at the med cat...one day , when i grow up, ill be the greatest med cat ever!...She rhinked happily and walked some more trying not to step on the herbs...
That was it. She is... dead.
Sootfur's head hung loosely, his shoulders sticking out from his gray shape. He watched his breath condense into white little clouds, eyes half opened as he tried to control his emotions. He knew he couldn't mourn forever - but the night vigil hadn't given Sootfur enough time to grieve, and he knew Rainpaw felt the same as he was called out by Sparrowstar.
I should've kept my eyes on her... I should've seen she was missing. But I didn't. I failed her.
A few strong shivers run through the tabby's spine, but the tom didn't feel cold. His body had... gone to sleep, while his mind tried to process reality. ...I'm sorry, Rainpaw..
The tan molly sat stoically in the entrance of her den; the scent of iron had summoned her there, and the grisly scene awaiting her in the clearing had hit her like another kick to the gut. Thrushfur... Stars, Thrushfur wasn't going to be ok was he?... Rainpaw's sudden explosive action had caused her to raise to her paws, but the sudden appearance of Sootfur held her in place while Cinderpaw handled his outburst.
So many young cats lost... When would they stop being pulled to Starclan ahead of their time?...
Blinking suddenly as she realized the young warrior had stopped speaking, Sparrowstar turned a smoldering gaze onto the tom as his words sunk in.
"Run it far from our territory or take it down," she growled before glancing back to the blood in the clearing. "Do not allow any apprentices to come, but take as many warriors as you wish. I refuse to have any more of our youth lost this season."
Sootfur's eyes regained a spark of light as Sparrowstar gave the dark order that he'd been hoping for. A sour determination filled his chest and gave his muscle a new energy, never before felt like this. That fox is still out there, with Quietpaw's blood still on its muzzle... "Yes, Sparrowstar. We'll leave immediately." He dipped his head to the leader and left the den, but then stopped at the entrance for a few moments.
He inhaled some cold air and let Sparrowstar's words ring into its ears... "Run it far from our territory or take it down." That was it. His first mission as a warrior was to avenge his lost apprentice. "Today, the snow will be blood soaked once more." He murmured to himself with a deep growl, before crossing the clearing and stopping in the middle to call out for a few warriors.
Sootfur was laying down in the cold clearing, staring at the apprentices' den with a sorrowful look. What if all of this was just a dream? He closed his eyes, knowing this was stupid, silly and hopeless. If only I could see her again, peeking out of that den... She would silently greet me with a nod. Maybe, even a smile.
But when he opened his eyes, he saw Crowpaw following out an orange warrior he did not know.
Care to tag alone..? This mouse-brain had the sensitivity of a beetle!
He snorted, but then got to his paws and took place beside Crowpaw. The brown tabby stared at his paws as if it was all left of his world. Seeing the poor apprentice so miserable made his muscles relax, and he exhaled deeply one last time before speaking.
"...Yes. Of course I'm coming." Sootfur already didn't like this Foxflurry, but at least she'd offered Crowpaw the chance to meet again her sister. Even if it's still too early. He glanced coldly at the orange she-cat, wondering how such a wonderful idea had come to her mind just now. Then, he noticed Cinderpaw coming toward them.
Ro was not prepared for the sheer number of cats that would be in ThunderClan, and already he felt like he was floundering. Each scent brought sharp new colors, all tainted by the bright cherry red of ThunderClan’s scents - it was an assault on his mind’s eye and his nose. Every dark grey cat in the corner of his eyes made him tense as he recalled the attack he suffered when he accidentally crossed into ShadowClan territory. It didn’t help that one of the dogs he used to share his junkyard home with was also a dark grey color.
His flank felt stiff and awkward with the cobwebs that Suncat (Sundust?) had plastered on. He wasn’t sure he liked that cat, even though he helped Ro - his voice was strange and he was much larger than any cat Ro had spoken to before, not that that was saying much. There was also all those strong smelling plants which had been smeared onto his wounds. Ro was trying to trust the process, though.
At this moment, he stood stiffly at the edge of the clearing, unsure what to do. His claws dig anxiously in the ground as his eyes flicked from cat to cat to cat - goodness, there were so many. There were so, so many.
[ this takes place prior to the meeting, so ro’s arrival and new name has not been officially announced

Of all the things Ro had imagined when he was being led to ThunderClan, he had not expected the sheer noise of it all. He thought he knew loudness from hearing the dogs at the junkyard bark, or the twolegs tossing those large shiny sheets around, but both of those were nothing compared to the overlapping chattering which pounded at his ears as cats gathered for the meeting.
It was claustrophobic, almost, to be in such a large crowd and he found himself slipping his way to the edge of the clowder, trying desperately to avoid the uncomfortable sensation of others' pelts brushing against his own. He tried to watch Sparrowstar, though he was much too far from the big tree now to clearly make out her figure. Instead she was just a beige blob on the branches that now blurred together.
His breath caught in his throat, perplexing him, and he dug his claws in the soil in an attempt to sooth himself. The blackbirds in his chest were beginning to rustle their wings once more, and he hoped they wouldn't try to take flight. His gaze flicked to his paws and locked on one of the scars that ran up his foreleg, a thin slice which had resulted from grazing himself against one of the large shiny sheets at the junkyard - turns out they had sharp edges. He'd rather notice anything, really, than the sheer commotion that was happening around him.
[ @Poprock - i think this takes place pre-ptsd pebble since jay would have likely referenced the border fight in their post. ]
Pebblepaw had been a little too busy to attend the meeting. And by that- Pebblepaw had been busy chasing her tail in the apprentice's den to recognize that a meeting had been called. Oopsies. Jokes on them! I caught my tail twice! Hehehehehehe. The little gremlin thought gleefully as she snuck out of the den and into the clearing. Whoops. Looks like she was the only one who missed the memo.
The little monster plopped herself down to an unknown tom; someone around her age. "Um who're you?" She whispered as not to attract the attention of Birdiestar who sat tall and mighty on the Thunderwillow. She didn't need any more punishments. Her head tilted in confusion as she noted the stinky new cat was a little... out of it. "Hello? Mr. Dunce?" A small bap of a white paw to his shoulder. "My name is Pebblepaw and I can catch my tail. Do you wanna see? Its pwetty cool."
Without waiting for an answer, Pebblepaw began showing her new pal her super cool trick. It was only a matter of time before he began gasping at her awesomeness.
The scrawny kit let out a soft squeal as the cat she was passing, slipping into a very messy defensive hunch, wide gold eyes fixing on a molly she didn't really know. Fireflykit was returning from her small nest in the corner of the clearing, making a clear effort to avoid the nursery at any cost. She was pleased to say that she didn't even smell like the nursery anymore. "Fireflykit... I'm sorry.... did I do something wrong?" The slender tortoiseshell kid shuffled her paws, abnormally large eyes and ears facing the hostile apprentice with extreme unease.
The naturally flighty child had been extra afraid of... everything since she had moved her nest out of the nursery into the clearing. Once she got tripped over, and another time someone almost sat on her!
Dapple(Paw)
As she starred at the kit, her tone softened. But her fur stayed on end. "I-Im Dapple. I'm sorry Firefly. I didn't mean to scare you. It's just, it's been a long time since i've been here." She explained to the kit. "If you want, we could play mossy-ball?" She asked.
