Duskhope blinked in surprise. They hadn't expected Sparrowstar to make them a... Well a mentor of sorts. They cast their eyes around the clearing, looking for the cat in question. The tortoiseshell she-cat sat on the edge of the crowd, watching with interest.
The ceremony ended and Duskhope padded over to sit beside the young cat. "Hello." Duskhope fidgeted uncomfortably. Socialising was... Not fun. @Ravensong
**Petalflight**
Nothing seemed to stir as Sparrowstar continued her announcements, save for a small...What did they call them? Their young training... Apprentice, who seemed downcast and almost frightened? Attention was quickly taken from the now apparently named Crowpaw, Again with all the importance on names. Were ceremonious words needed to start calling a cat by a different name? And then she heard her own new name. She looked up to the leader curiously as she was assigned to some cat by the name Duskhope. She recalled the leader mentioning something about Blackfir watching over her until she could have someone assigned to her. That must be this Duskhope's job. Her brilliant green eyes turned as a grey cat seemed to approach her. It filled her pelt with ants to think about spending time with any of these other strangers without Blackfir nearby but a quick glance towards the white tom told her he didn't have any of the same reservations. Rather his amber eyes were filled with anticipation, as though he were happy for her. What exactly was there to be happy about? She was to be tailed and trained by this unknown cat? She supposed she was part of a clan now, that clan was bigger than herself and Blackfir. Blackfir knew these cats, he'd been living with them his entire life, but she hadn't. She looked Duskhope over with a hard assessing stare then blinked slowly and dipped her head slightly in response to Duskhope's greeting. They seemed harmless enough though trustworthy, Petalflight couldn't say with any certainty.

Riversplash looked down at his paws guiltily. "I was chasing a bird and then it crossed the RiverClan border. By the time I realised my mistake, I'd fallen into a river."

"Do you and Barley have kits?" - Bella
Willow's Rise. That was the first time Cinderpaw had heard that name spoken, and her whiskers twitched at the suggestion from Foxflurry. The way she spoke of the location, it was important, and with Rainpaw - well, Crowpaw - fluttering nervously over to her and Sootfur, she could connect the dots in her head.
Her stomach sank at the idea of seeing that starsforsaken tree again. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to hold back her fury and keep herself from carving the marks that scored over the tallies on that tree further. Such a searing monument to the way Starclan did nothing but point and laugh at them... Cinderpaw almost considered not going. But the way Crowpaw quivered like a leaf and stood so stiffly next to the other two warriors...
It wasn't worth spiting them. It wasn't ever worth it. She was supposed to remember them.
"A' course." She hummed, moving over to press reassuringly against the younger apprentice - he'd need it. "There's gotta be a fl-flower out there, somewhere."
Minnowkit sat in the clearing alone, her leg was awkwardly out-streched as she played with the snow. She sighed, maybe she should go back to the nursery?
Tidekit bounded around the clearing with joyous laughter. Snow flew up around her as she ran, spraying nearby warriors and apprentices, but the kit barely noticed. Pretty soon she would be an apprentice, and that means she wouldn’t be able to play anymore because she would be learning to be a warrior like all the time! So she might as well take advantage of playing in the snow while she still could.
She almost didn’t notice the other kitten as she scurried past, but luckily she did. Tidekit recognized the other kitten but didn’t exactly know who she was, but that didn’t matter to her. ”Hi there!” She chirped happily “Do you want to play with me?”
( @Pluto! )
Alright, there was her volunteer. As Redkit skittered up to her she gave the kitten a proud smile. "Nice. Now, the first rule about keeping yourself safe--"
In an instant, Cinderpaw hooked a paw underneath the tortoiseshell and flipped her over onto her back, pressing her paw on the kitten's chest just hard enough to keep her from slipping away. "You never, ever, ever let the cat who's attacking y-you get to your belly. It's the softest and most vulnerable part a' you - one strike and that's it. Keeping your neck and belly covered will keep you the s-safest. "
She continued her lecture as she lifted her paw and tousled the fur on Redkit's head, letting the kit slip away. "Rule 2 is that if someone's attackin' you, you do everything to keep them away from those p-places. You bite, you scratch, you scream for help, and you do not s-stop until they've stopped hurting you. The best places to hurt are their necks, bellies, and if you can reach their eyes, that's the easiest way to get them off of you." Her voice was stern but had a caring tone behind it, soft enough to hopefully not scare them. "Do you guys have any questions about those two rules?"

"Me? I dont know- Im not very good at that, my leg.." She said, standing up to reveal a dangling and twisted leg
Now we wait. She said, her plan going perfectly. She hid in the darkest corner of the room

Padding into her den with a yawn, Sparrowstar barely glanced around the confines of the sandy place as she bee-lined towards her nest. Today had been rather taxing, so she wished only for a brief cat-nap before heading back out for the evening.
There was... a rather odd smell in the den, but it wasn't particularly strong or abrasive so without further ado the tan molly flopped backwards into her nest... However, it wasn't delightfully comfy moss that had been carefully crafted by her friend that her side collided with, rather several uncomfortably pointy things jabbed into her pelt.
With a startled and slightly disgruntled chirp, Sparrowstar attempted to roll off of the uncomfortable things within the moss, only to find that... the moss was sticking to her fur??? Peeling herself (and a good amount of her nest) back into a standing position, she quickly turned back to her ruined bed in confusion.
Had... had someone put... honey in there???
A quick sniff and a prod of her paw confirmed her suspicions, but also uncovered a pawful of pinecones that definitely hadn't been in her nest when she left it at dawn. Green eyes swiftly glanced about the den for clues before landing on a slightly kit-looking shadow in the back corner.
Should she reprimand them? Laugh? Honestly, she was just too tired to muster any anger right now...
Huffing a sigh as she turned back to the entrance, she began to speak slightly louder than normal as she headed back out of the den.
"Stars above, I'm going to have to freeze my paws off in the creek to wash this off. Hopefully whatever prankster decided to trap my nest will be able to enlist some help in replacing the moss before I get back..."
Paws-crossed they would, because she was going to be more than a bit disgruntled if she returned to the spiky, goopy mess that currently resembled a lopsided birds nest still sitting in her den.
Not wasting another moment, the (now coated in honey and moss) molly padded back out and off to attempt to clean herself up.
[ You are welcome to bring in another cat to help replace the nest, or simply leave it and escape ]

For once, the kit slept through the night. No screaming, no crying, no nightmares, nothing. She was warm and comfy, instead laying on her ratty nest out in the cold, she was burrowed up next to Sparrowstar. Fireflykit blinked her dreary eyes. It was a little after dawn- she tended to naturally wake up this early, since she was usually woken up anyways by patrols and stuff.
Waiting until the she saw the leader stir and eventually open her eyes too, the tortie sat up so that she was sitting a little further away from the leader, so that the tabby could... stretch and stuff. "Good morning. T-thank you for letting me sleep here last night." Manners were important. If she didn't have manners, then Sparrow wouldn't like her. And Fireflykit really wanted the kind molly to like her.
She waited for her to wake up a little more before starting to ask where she was going to be sleeping. Please don't make me stay in the nursery. What would she do if the leader made her sleep in there?
Slowly blinking awake as the first of the sun's rays broke through the entrance of her den, Sparrowstar's gaze was immediately met by a small kit moving to sit up next to her. Briefly confusion flashed across her eyes, however they quickly softened as the previous night's events drifted back to her mind.
"Good morning Fireflykit," the tan molly yawned, stretching out as she spoke before rolling into a loaf in her nest. "Did you sleep well last night then?"
Paws-crossed she had, and hopefully the tale she spun before they both slept wasn't too much for the young cat.

He spoke with a strained, vocal cord-cracking regret. "He died, my apprentice, h-h-he died. I tried to save him, he was there, why did he escape from camp, he could've been alive, I-I was t-t-to late. My poor, poor apprentice, I could have saved you in time, it's all my fault, all my fault."" He whimpered out, shaking violently. His mental state has already deteriorated, and he fears that he is currently incapable of performing even basic tasks. Do his tasks to a certain extent. Yes, every cat has to deal with death at some point in their lives. At least once or twice. However, his death came too quickly; did Starclan not wish for him to rest? It would be preferable to wait two months rather than just a moment. Each moment, his heart was numbing and breaking. It was too disturbing to even think of anyone else that may come across the scent of death. His paws went numb as he shivered. Each breakdown he would have in front of his family would harden his heart even more. He pondered how long it would be before the rusty aroma of death that remained in the air totally numbed him.
In terms of his responsibilities, he would have to act quickly. His clanmates don't need a deputy who is unable of performing his job properly. He shifted his bloodshot gaze to Sparrowstar. Rasping, albeit his mental state didn't seem to be in good shape. He was still in the correct frame of mind to address the issues that his skilled mind could handle. "I-I'll need someone to take care of patrols for a bit.. just someone. I-I just need a little break.." He pondered for a long time to come up with someone who could handle the bare minimum of his responsibilities. "M-My daughter... erm.. Flameheart would be able to. She's quite capable of doing a-lot of things.." He felt as though his heart was healing just by uttering it. He was still surrounded by family, but were they offering him any consolation? Did he deserve the emotional support? Was there an explanation for the enormous amount of death that had swollen his heart? Truly, he didn't give a damn. Simply, he sought a place to hide out. Someplace very, very far away, where no one can see.
Letting out a slow exhale, Sparrowstar rested her forehead against Thrushfur's flank as he spoke. Not his kin, but his apprentice... Stars above, what had gotten into those apprentices to make them all leave camp...
"I am so sorry Thrushfur," she stated, tone low as she processed the information he passed on. "You can take up to half a moon if you need it. The Keepers are more than capable of handling patrols and such things while you mourn and recover. Perhaps you could take some time to simply be with Quailfur and your son, and please, don't hesitate to let me know if you need anything."
Green eyes were sympathetic as she turned to look his way.
"We're a team Thrushfur. We will get through this..."

Hehe now for part 2 of plan B. Acornkit crawled over to the nest and threw frozen moss all over the mess, her paws ached with frostbite. She smushed more honey onto the nest, so that way the frozen moss will stick to her fur. She walked back to her honey stash. All out- she thought. She wished she could add a beehive. She will keep torturing Sparrowstar until she renames Thunderclan ACORNCLAN!

If my little profile dotty is green and i haven't replied to a post, please bump!
Please don't use colors that are difficult to see, White, black, and really any dark color other than purple are fine!
Pebblepaw wrinkled her nose at the warrior, scrutinizing her with her yellow gaze. She's just like Shallowshudder or... uh... whatever their name was. Boring and much too serious. Blegh! The little gremlin was not pleased, but Sorreldust was her only ticket out of camp.
"I've never had any sort of training ever! I've been stuck in camp like a lil baby." She whined, stomping her white paws for dramatic effect. Seriously! Some apprentices got taken out right away, and here she was still hanging around camp almost a moon later! "I do know some cool twicks though! I can catch my tail and uhhh.... OH! I've been working on my pawstand if you wanna see that!" Without waiting for an answer, Pebblepaw tried to balance on only her front paws- launching her two back paws high into the air. Unfortunately, she launched them a little too hard and ended up flopping onto the ground with an oof. Well... it was still a work in progress.
Sorreldust paid not mind to the look little Pebblepaw gave her. However she felt about her, she wasn't concerned as long as it wouldn't get in the way of their ability to work through Pebblepaw's training. She wouldn't let her opinions get in the way of fulfilling her new duties she'd been given, no matter how annoying the apprentice might be in the future.
She hummed, the slightest bit of understanding showing on her face when the white pawed apprentice complained about having no training. A clean slate, despite having a mentor before. "Well, we can leave as soon as you wish. My days are free anytime you wish to train."
Sorreldust blinked in surprise as her apprentice spoke of tricks she could do. Ah, yes, the elusive tail. A highly coveted catch every kitten dreamed of one day conquering. At least until they grew up, from her own experience with herself and with her own kits.
However, a pawstand? OH!
She nearly jumped when Pebblepaw launched her hindquarters into the air and out of instinct, she leaped to her and tried to catch the apprentice before she could hit the ground.
