Stride flicked his ears, taken aback by her question, although a hint of stubbornness lit his gaze. What do I have to lose by doing so?” he said quietly, wishing that the answer was not as it was, and to her next question, he answered more quickly. “Depends on the reason. I'd either leave, or I'd stand my ground.” the young tom replied, fluffing out his fur a bit against the cold, although a gentle, friendly look replaced that of stubbornness in his bright orbs, as that was the most usual look in them.

The grey tom nodded. "Yeah. I was just apprenticed, but nobody pays any attention to me." He sat down and curled his tail around his paws. Lifting a paw, he gestured to his small, lean body. "I'm small, so I blend in easily." Suddenly straightening, he turned his gaze to the other apprentices. "I'm Tumblepaw, by the way. What are your names?" As he was asking this, his tail had left its resting place on his paws and now flicked restlessly. He kept glancing up at the sky, and then back towards the Thunderclan camp.

"Hi, I'm DaisyPaw and that's my sister HazePaw...we have more siblings, two brothers Fleapaw and RotPaw...and four half siblings. SterlingKit, KingfisherKit, magpiekit and...darn I always forget the last one!" She mewed frustratedly, kicking a stone. The smooth grey surface rolled away and splashed into a puddle a few tail lengths ahead.

Tumblepaw purred. "That's a lot of siblings. I have a little sister, Honeykit. You should meet her sometime, she's adorable!" Standing up, Tumblepaw dipped his head to the two apprentices. "It was nice meeting you, but I should get back to camp." He gestured to the prey lying beside him, "I have to drop these off." He picked up the prey and started walking. He glanced back. "See you around?" He mumbled hopefully.

"Yeah, I should head back too...and maybe we WILL see each other in camp this time!" She laughed, grooming a piece of fur that was sticking up awkwardly on her leg. HazePaw returned, in a hunter's crouch, silently stalking a mouse. With one leap, she had it in her small pearly teeth. "Come on, HazePaw, we're going back to camp now."
"Okay. Let's wait for DarkWillow though."
"Yes. I'll see you around Timberpaw..." She winked and licked her lips as she stared at the thick juicy food.

Almondpelt crouched low to the ground, sniffing the air. She smelled a vole, and refused to allow this one to escape her. 'You will be the fresh-kill of Thunderclan,' she thought. When she got close enough, she pounced, scaring the vole into running off. She chased it, pounced once more, and luckily landed on the small creature, nipping it's neck to break it swiftly.

He was happy his mentor had liked his attack, though he himself hadn't even known it'd work. It'd been a split second decision, and the first thing that'd come to mind.
But if the move is so risky and easily countered, why do even the best of warriors dare to use it? Burstpaw was extremely careful to never show his belly's soft flesh at any point in a battle, for he knew the dangerous consequences. That was why it really surprised him that Flammingarrow's move was so common, and no matter how hard he though about it, the orange tabby couldn't understand why it was so. Don't warriors know a cat's weakest spots, and how to avoid being attacked there? It's like surrendering to your opponent when you show your underbelly!

Though in truth all he needed was some practice, he himself saw it that he wouldn't become a good hunter and therefore would mainly focus on fighting. He was big and was showing early signs of being strong, meaning he could grow up to be a powerful fighter. Why would he waste his time with hunting?
He narrowed his orbs as she pointed out how he had a problem with someone calling him 'small'. Both of the kits had a problem being called that, though Timberkit was actually on the small side where Orchidkit wasn't nearly small enough to even be considered called that - or at least for his age, anyway. He lashed his tail slightly, but didn't really comment on it. He'd prefer to play rather than get his whisker twisted in a knot anyway. The tom then shook off what she said. "I could take down three foxes, and I'll show you that much someday!" He promised his friend.
Orchidkit laughed as he bounded back, getting hit by the clump of snow she threw at him. He then scooped up some more. He flung another ball of snow at the molly, trying to hit her shoulder. The snow that was clumping onto his pelt was starting to drag him down and making him uncomfortable, yet he hardly noticed as he and Timberkit played.
They would soon become apprentice, so this was the last time that he would be breaking the code really for being outside the clan. Of course, they would want him to leave camp with his mentor or another warrior, but he didn't want some boring cat bringing down his adventurous and playful mood. He would continue to leave camp as usual, but soon he'll be able to learn how to actually fight!
|
The small molly smiled at his response and flicked her tail slightly. "Don't worry Orchidkit I'll catch some food for ya if you want.", Timberkit smiled. Even if he did get better at hunting or not she would like to hunt once she knows how. Maybe will get her skills up too if she tried hard enough.
Timberkit purred innocently at her words. She was small but she knows things more than Orchidkit, well not much about the territory. Timberkit frowned a little bit when he said he could take down three foxes. "I'll bet three of my mice on that.", She said as her tail swayed slightly from side to side watching her ball of snow hit the tom.
She quickly bounded away only to end up getting hit on the shoulder. Timberkit hunched her back a bit and her paws under her body. She was getting ready to pounce on the tom though she didn't know what she was doing.

( @ KitKat12 )
The black and ginger she-cat walked into the cave, she stopped in a place with a large and flattened rock, when she reached the place, she turned her body to the Tumblepaws direction, lowering her head to the dark gray cat , ''Tumblepaw, i will teach you some lessons about a fight'', meowed Thrushwing, lowering her head to look in the yellow eyes of the dark gray one, to see if he is listening.
