When Liam was gone, Hugo picked up the crystal, and stared at it in his hand for a moment. It glowed, and so did his burn. But the burn seemed to be spreading up his arm every second he touched the crystal. Hugo yelped, and dropped it.

"L-look!" Hugo whimpered, holding out his hand. What had originally been a small burn on the center of his palm was now on the bottom half of his fingers, and on his wrist.
