Inside the apprentice’s den, the patched tabby she-cat was curled up in a bed of leafs and moss, one little paw draped lazily over her snout. She snored softly as she slept, dreaming of a sprawling meadow in green leaf, sprinkled with wildflowers and great oaks, perfect for climbing. Her stub of a tail twitched as she envisioned facing through the grasses, her siblings close by. Even grumpy Winterpaw was happy for once.
With a sleepy purr, Autumnpaw flopped onto her other side. In her dozing state, she misjudged the size of her nest and tumbled out. “Oof!” she exclaimed, startling awake as she rolled into the neighboring nest, smacking straight into another apprentice.
Rabbitchatter padded into camp shaking off a few dead leaves that seemed to have accumulated on his fur from their walk back. He interrupted Springpaw to go take a well earned break and brought his mouse to the fresh kill pile, dropping it and turning to look for Bumblebreak. “Hunting trip to Wisteria falls has been completed!”
Noticing a bunch of cats just exisiting, Wolfkit found a patch of moss near the edge of camp and began pulling at it. With a mound of unevenly torn moss in paw, he began to smack the balls towards the lazing cats - squeaking at them in the process!!! He wanted play, danggit!!
While Asterdance rolled about in the mud, a ball of moss hit them softly. It caused them to turn and look to a little itty-bitty. Itty-bitty man. Clearly, seeking entertainment. Asterdance casted one look towards their pile of mud - it was clearly coating their fur now. Not much of a difference. Hm. If they pissed this kid's parents off then oops, but they never really thought things through.
With a grin, they scooped up a pawful of mud and would attempt to fling it at Wolfkit. "AYE!! Come at me, little man, let's see what you can do!" Asterdance chirped, rising to their feet.

Ashkit
He/Him, scrawny skate gray tom with dark brown points and molts that look similar to burn marks
*.*.*
Ashkit glanced, anxiously at his paws, as Rabbitchatter informed him that he was sounding very similar to a “Grumpy ‘ol Elder.” Whoops. The brown tomcat added that there was no shame in having fun… but was this really true? Was doing exactly what Ashkit had decided to meeting any lines of immaturity? Well, of course. That was basically one of the key definitions of a kit, wasn’t it? Naive, immature, innocent, optimistic… did he want to be the same? The small gray tom shook the thought from his mind. Again… this was only a one time thing, right?
Yup. As long as he wasn’t playing these games all the time, he’d seem different from the stereotypical kit. But then he’d pop out… now that wasn’t at all what he wanted. Why does life make things so complicated for me! He thought, miserably. Life seemed to really want to make his life as awkward as it could, didn’t it?
As Rabbitchatter’s mindset seemed to flow back into the game, Ashkit decided he would at least pretend his was as well, again. He was doing it earlier, so he knew he had the ability. Ashkit watched with an uncomfortable feeling beating in his heart as Rabbitchatter began to stalk forward, and joined him. Being a kit, Ashkit expected his “Stalk” most likely looked pretty whacked up, but whatever. Here we go… here we go… he repeated in his mind. Here we go… Rabbitchatter mouthed for them to watch, so carefully, Ashkit did. He stepped back slightly once Rabbitchatter leaped with a battle cry. He forced the annoying thought of HERE WEO GOOO- Out of his head, and attempted to repeat the leap. He sprung into the air with his paws outstretched.
He let out a slightly pathetic little, “Er- AURG?” And found a place to land an aim. Sure, it was a game… but couldn’t he put some thought into it? Ashkit forced himself to land on the ground to give himself a few moments to think, hoping Rabbitchatter wouldn’t blow it in the few seconds he’d give himself to do so. So If I just jump at Alderstep, well… Rabbitchatter’s already doing that. So that idea floated out of his head. But while he’s distracted by Rabbitchatter… I bet I can get up behind him and leap onto him where he won’t see me. Since I’m small… I’ll have an advantage. But since I’m just a kit, landing in him won’t do much because I weigh basically the same as a feather. While the others “attack,” I can try to- No, he’d just leap from the back. This was just a stupid game, he didn’t need to plot out a whole technique. He didn’t have the time anyway.
Ashkit, as Rabbitchatter aimed to land on his fellow warrior, slithered behind the toms as unnoticeable and quietly as he could. He stopped behind the two, and braced himself. No yowling this time, gotta be sneaky! He thought, and silently, sprung back into the air, not caring where on Alderstep he landed. As long as he landed on this “ShadowClan Intruder,” he’d be satisfied.
Ravenpaw has always liked and respected Dovefluff and hopes to mentor one of her kits one day just to say thank you but she was a little to gentle which was nice…………….sometimes
So when she went between Ravenpaw and Winterpaw she stopped smacking and sighed
Though she was sincere through the smacks she realized that she never interacted with Winterpaw and wouldn’t know that which she felt guilty for but didn’t show it
When Cracklepaw come into view she snarled and stared she didn’t want to fight today but ho boy she was about to actually start smacking
She listened to all of it preferring to not talk to bully’s but after all that she was going into this conversation
“Does bullying others help your self loathing and innocent life” she said staring swords into Cracklepaw but otherwise no emotion
“Because anyone that’s seen the real world and has seen shadowclan would know that words like that don’t matter, only blood matters” she said still calm but now out of nowhere had shifted her tail and brought out her claws and smiled just for a second but the smile was demonic and phychopathic and it was directed right towards him
“And what’s so wrong with a lie every once and a while, you do it all the time, you unwanted and poor abused soul” she said still calm still emotionless
The wind picked up for a second which she didn’t respond to but used the opportunity to change her direction towards Cracklepaw
She hoped that Dovefluff wouldn’t interrupt them especially after he insulted her which was what really peeved off Ravenpaw
Then Cinderpaw came out guess no fighting today which she sighed about and listened to what they had to say
When done Ravenpaw moved herself so that Cracklepaw wouldn’t match through them
An ache resounded through Cinderpaw's skull as she buried her head between her paws. Her terminally-soggy nest was uncomfortable, and the littlest thing would rouse her from feather-light sleep... and exactly that happened as a little chorus made itself known in camp.
It took the eldest apprentice a few moments to orient herself, eyes squinting against midday sun. The words of her clanmates were white noise at first, before slowly but surely sharpening into a language she could understand. The speckled tabby stood up, an aura of gloom surrounding her, and padded towards the commotion.
"What..." She rasped sleepily, trailing off to gain her bearings. Winterpaw seemed sobby, Ravenpaw was aiming a sheathed paw towards it, and Cracklepaw has a wicked look on his face. Cinderpaw stared spacily at the scene for a few more moments before speaking.
"What is wrong with all'a you...?" Asked the she-cat, moving forth into the middle of the crowd beside Winterpaw. She struggled for a few moments to find the right words.
"This is not... this isn't--" As much as the tom's smug tone grit against her, she found herself sharing some of Cracklepaw's ideas (she still didn't trust warriors as far as she could throw 'em)... even then, stars. The kids didn't need to be making jabs at how unwanted they were, the rest of the clan did that enough. "As an apprentice, you should know better than to make the problem worse, Cracklepaw."
"I am not going to help raise the lot of you to be the same callous and ignorant cats that still stomp all over us today. Friendly fire right now helps no one, dammit. This won't change anything for you, I promise. Trying to suck up and be cruel to those in the same boat won't do anything but..."
Disappointment radiated off of her. Going quiet, Cinderpaw turned to address Winterpaw. "What's got you like this?" She asked softly. "There's not much out here, not when I know you still belong here. It'd be wrong having another empty nest in the apprentice's den."
Watching this unfold, Crackle'paw smirked at the ridiculous drama that ensued. What even was this? Some pathetic display of self loathing? Did stupid little Winter'paw want attention? Well, if he did, the moron was certainty getting it.
Two or three clan mates had already come coddling to the whiny coward! And it had only been a few moments! Scoffing loudly, he shot a disgusted look at both Raven'paw and Dove'fluff. Those two were just feeding sympathy to Winter'paw, and he wasn't going to let that slide.
Getting up the lanky apprentice stomped his way over on hefty paws, while a nasty sneer spread across his angular features. Attempting to shove past Dove'fluff and Raven'paw, he leered down at his den-mate. " Dont' listen to her Winter'paw! She's just lying!" A mock look of desperation stained his countenance. "Warriors like her have a tendency to tell false tales! Especially ones from Shadow'clan..." He cackled darkly, before shooting Dove'fluff a look of amused disgust. Looking back to Winter'paw he resumed his offense, " YOU'RE the one who's right... No one ever noticed you, not until now that is. And that's only because they don't want anyone to leave their cult! Just imagine if you left! Who would clean out the elders' nest and pick ticks from their asses?'' He prodded one of his large claws at the scrawny apprentice " If you leave now, you can be a good-for-nothing without all the chores! Wouldn't that be great? And don't worry about us.... We won't miss you. No one will." Nodding his head in false reassurance, Crackle'paw had hoped he hurt the other cat. It wanted attention... so he was giving it attention. Deriving Winter'paw of any self-worth was the goal, and hopefully he had gotten that across.

( don't mind Crackle, he's just being a menace to society. )
"Ravenpaw, no. That is not how we help our Clanmates feel better." Dovefluff's firm voice rang across the clearing as the pregnant molly strode forward. Winterpaw was trying to leave, not feeling noticed. Ravenpaw though smacking him on the head would make things better. The former ShadowClan queen tried to gently nudge Ravenpaw aside, attempting to stop the molly from hitting the other apprentice, instead letting the light smacks hit her backside. They didn't hurt, but StarClan knew that Winterpaw didn't need that right now.
She decided not to hug or touch the young apprentice, not knowing if he wanted to be touched, and instead blinked maternally at him. Poor thing. He didn't feel noticed. "I notice you." She murmured reassuringly. "I notice how kind you are to your siblings. I notice how hard working you are. Please don't leave, Winterpaw. We care about you, I promise. Maybe you and I can get to know each other? Would you like to be friends?"

He/him
Black and gray tom with green eyes

The Tom had noticed Winterpaw and walked infront of it blocking his path of leaving and gave it a look that said “What where you going to do out there kid?”
winterpaw
it/its him/him
Winterpaw frowned up at Rowenblaze as his exit was blocked. Ears flattening back, he sank on his paws. He was already a small cat but practically cowering back, he couldve been mistaken for a weird looking kit.
He turned just as several baps of Ravenpaws paw landed on his enlonged snout. His face wrinkled and whiskers quivered as he stumbled out from being sandwiched between her and Rowenblaze. "I don't know but out there must be better than in here—!" Winterpaw desperately hoped his emotions wouldn't follow him into wilderness, as if he thought Thunderclan itself was the problem.
It twisted around on its paws, turning to Dovetuft. The last thing he needed was to see a pregnant Molly, a queen. That spot in his chest - a hole his mother had left - felt ten times as big.
Winterpaw drew in a sharp, shakey breath. He couldn't stop the tears; they pooled at the corner of its eyes before beginning to fall and dampen his smooth Calico cheek fur.
Before he could push the lump in his throat down, Cacklepaws words hit like daggers in his chest. Immediately, his hackles raised between the jagged scars running along his spine. Its ears flattened sharply again, pinned against the top of his head as his long tail bushed all up. "OH wouldn't you love to see that, Cacklepaw?" Sadness was replaced by something else, something more poisonous; spite.
The jab in his chest knocked him a little, just a little. Winterpaws claws flexed into the ground as he let out a defensive hisssss! Before he could smack the tom with claws and all (use him as both an emotional punching bag as well as physical one) Cinderpaws voice broke across his mind like thunder and lightning.
"Friendly fire!" he spat the words out, tears still falling down his cheek and dampening the hardened clearing floor, "This isn't about Shadowclan, none of this is about the other clans!" It had to try hard to stop the words from being more than sobs from its lips.
Its breathing was harder now, throat filled with shards of glass as each word - heavy with sadness and isolation and anger - came forth. "Would you have all cared if I had gone in the dead of night? would you even notice then?!" His twing-like legs trembled, knees shook, "Theres nothing for me here either! I've barely seen my siblings or my mentor! Anyone older only cares if we're able to fight, or doing our training! you all only care if we're breaking the rules or neglecting our duties!" Cracklepaw started to sound the saniest of them all...
Winterpaws eyes jumped from cat to cat to cat. He was surrounded. He withdrew, slinking back until his own scarred back pressed against the Camp wall. "I cant... find the reason... to stay,"

Rowanblaze then sat down beside Winterpaw a couple of mouse lengths away and asked softly “Is it okay if I hug you Winterpaw?” Rowanblaze knew he was panicking when he saw its face and he thought of his own kit and then softly telling Winterpaw that he was okay nothing would happen to it as long as he was near him.
Sootfur's fur prickled in annoyance. Of course, we should've expected lies as retorts. But the truth will always float above water. It can't be hidden in the depths forever.
Thrushstar was being sensible and cautious in his questions. He knew the leader wasn't accusing his own clanmates; it was rather a useless tentative to find a way out of a possible conflict with Shadowclan. Because no one can't resonate with them. No one.
The gray tabby entered the dark cave and dipped his head as Thrushstar's silhouette became more visible; waiting a few seconds for his gray eyes to adjust to the dim light of the den.
He sat down, searching for the calmness he needed to speak clearly and without misunderstandings. This had to end.
"Yes, Thrushstar. Dawnpaw's body was found both by me and by the warrior who helped me bury the apprentice's body on our sides of the border."Arghh, if only I remembered he warrior's name. They were the only one to have witnessed the... No, wait. There was also..."Foxflurry. She was the first one to have found the body, and I'm sure she'll give my same explanation."
"Besides that, Thrushstar..." There was something else that tickled the corner of his mind. "I had a few talks with Shadowclan warriors, and the words they spoke tonight at the Gathering were not exactly the ones I recall from memory."
A detail, but an important one. "They stated that every cat who got closer to their border would be allowed to get attacked by them. And I'm sure Dawnpaw never trespassed. He was there alone... he would've never done such a stupid, reckless thing." He commented with a serious tone, his eyes darkened to a steel silver gray.
Frogkit opened his eyes to the clearing. He waddled outside. Bored... Bored... He thought, looking at something fun to do. He turned around and saw some-small cat. He chuckled as he walked towards them.
