Default ☆ FREED BIRD [ SOLO ]

This dates back to a long time ago, when littlelark was still alive.

Littlelark closed her eyes softly, humming a light tune. She was seated underneath a big tree, the branches covering her up. The sunlight peeked through the leaves and she flicked her tail left to right. It couldn’t get better than this. the feline thought, lifting her head. So many things had happened over the moons. Many things. She slowly opened her eyes, watching as a single life flew against the wind, and dropped onto her nose. Her eyes widened very so softly before giving a small chuckle. Many cats took the forest for granted. But in the forest, as the cats walked through, the forest was breathing. Littlelark could feel the forest’s heartbeat pulsing through her paws. Closing her eyes once again, she smiled. There was always time to appreciate things, as you never know how long you will be here for.

The sudden sound of rustling startled Littlelark. Oh? Who would be joining her here today? Raising her head and leaning closer to the wall of branches, she opened her eyes, searching. The taste of fox made her eyes widen and her heart quicken. Fox? In Thunderclan territory? What..? She had to warn her clan! Yet should she drive the fox off herself? At that moment, she thought hard. Closing her eyes. I will fight the fox for my clan. That way, I would have weakened it and it will be easy to chase off. crouching down, she watched as the orange furred animal go closer towards the branches, it’s white snout poking at the branches. A menacing growl shook her ears as the two animals locked eyes.

With a loud yowl, she shot out of her hiding spot, towards the side as she sliced her claws over it’s fur, pulling clumps of fur out. The fox gave a roar and it’s bulky head swung towards her, snapping and lifted a paw, swatting at her. Horror filled her chest as she leapt up to the fox’s back, barely escaping the fox before digging her claws into the flesh. The fox howled in pain, desperately trying to shake her off. She tried to stay on, before getting flung towards the ground. It impaled her, hard. She looked up, wincing before getting to her paws. “Fox-heart!” She growled, leaping up again and scoring her claws right at it’s face. It snarled and lunged forwards, mouth snapping, straight towards her head.

She wished that she moved quicker, yet she couldn’t. Her body was vibrating with pain, as she lay on the grass, gasping. The fox had left, taking no interest in her. She was breathing shallowly.

Blood was splattered onto the grass, dark read. She was in so much pain. Glancing down, she looked at a big gash of red spilling from her stomach. She was going to die soon enough.

Breathing hard, she rested her head to the grass. She could feel thr heartbeat if the forest. For a second, she felt numb. With a soft smile, she closed her eyes. The forest would take care of her body. Then all the pain melted away from her.

She opened her eyes, beaming into the air. She looked down. There it was? Her body was splattered before her, dead. Yet on the corpse’s lips held a soft smile. She crouched down and touched noses with herself before trotting up towards the sky, her sparkling pelt glistening.

This takes place during
Littlelark’s kithood!

Littlekit scampered across the camp, limbs pulsing with energy. She sprinted around a small pebble, eyes glimmering with excitement before ramming her head playfully at the wall and zooming past a few kits. Her amber eyes glowed with excitement as she turned around. “Mama! I can’t wait to become an apprentice!” she called, grinning toothily at the grey furred cat next to her. The queen purred softly before bending down and touching her nose. “I’m sure you’ll be the best apprentice ever.” she purred, gazing lovingly at her daughter.

Now Littlekit was speeding through the clearing, back on track. She began racing around warriors who yowled at her in surprise, some in irritation. The world was spinning. She loved it so much. She kept spinning around and around, the trees blurred and bushes whipped past before she lost balance, slamming to the ground. She slowly looked up, dazed. The world was spinning. The grey tabby tried to get up as she stumbled across, her head turned around. Huh. This didn’t look like camp.

She stopped, furrowing her brows as she took in her surroundings. Trees and bushes. Everywhere. Oh moons. She was in the forest. She was never allowed as warriors fretted her getting injured in the woods. But she was fearless! Now there was no cat to take her back, she would enjoy this place! She strolled across, humming softly. As she padded across, she felt a strange sensation. Like a heartbeat. She could hear it. She could feel it. Huh..? What is this? Magic? Her heartbeat was small, syncing with the big heartbeat of the unknown creature.

A small gale of wind brushed past her and she swore she could hear them whispering to her. She turned around, eyes lit up as she followed the gale, into the forest. Following the leaves in the current, her grin went wider and wider as she let it guide her, to a small clearing. She looked quizzically at the gale. What’s that supposed to do? she thought. The gale dove down, next to something shiny. Oh? What’s this? She approached it, sniffing curiously. It seemed to be… a rocky thing (shell) . Her eyes widened with awe. She inspected it before clamping her mouth around it and turning to the wind. “show me more!”

And so that’s how her day was, waltzing in the forest, encountering plants and nature, which seemed to be connecting with her. By the time she got to the edge of the woods, she had fallen asleep rested upon a stone, the gale whistling her above.

Two warriors were on patrol, chatting together until they caught sight of a small cat. Cinderchard approached, her eyes wide. It seemed to be a kit for the milky scent was still lingering on it. The kit’s eyes were closed and content, curled up. Butterflies fluttered above.
