and teeeeeechnically since snow/pike is bird's adoptive dad and fawn is otter's mom, and snow/pike and fawns are adoptive siblings, that would make otter and bird teeeechhhhhnicallyyyyy cousins :eyes

role: found family
plot ideas?: Mintpool is no longer leaving windclan. Slatestripe, her adopted father and former mentor has been taken away by twolegs and she's left alone. Her only relationship is now with her mother, but she's mostly missing and they don't interact much. She is alone now.
I need to get her close to at least another cat, otherwise she'll feel forever out of place in Riverclan without another strong bond like she had with Slatestripe. How good is Birdpaw in comforting others? Because we could set up their first interaction a few days after Slatestripe's kidnapping. Mintpool is very depressed, she doesn't eat nor talk, she only stays alone and wanders every day through the territory in hope to find his friend again.
I think this might give her a bit of trauma that prevents her from speaking - at least at the beginning. During this first interaction Mintpool will be found by Birdpaw in a secluded spot, only because she heard her sobbing and crying alone. I'd like for Birdpaw to maintain the interactions going for several days and maybe even weeks (IC, not necessarily time irl) because Mintpool won't approach anyone on her own for some time.
other: this is it. I'm also thinking of asking Snowleap to get closer to her since they once had a fun day together, and I feel like they worked well together (I felt like Pike's behavior toward Mint was very similar to that of Slate, so I'll ask zen about it).

ACCEPTED 100 AND 10 PERCENT ACCEPTED! Birdpaw would definitely want to comfort Mintpool, and considering they already are some-what friends, she'd totally want to help Minty feel as comfortable and welcome in RiverClan. And if Mint doesn't talk much in the beginning, that's okay because Birdpaw can just talk about butterflies for 30 minutes i absolutely adore the plot idea (and i adore mint, so i will be doing everything in my power to help birdpaw help mint back to being happy)

Alright, so Snowleap will slowly become her new adopted father (but no one will ever take slatestripe's place) so we have a good web of connection here. If I ever manage to get my den-nest plot out, Mint will then take a place in the med cat's den to be taken care of by Stonepaw. Maybe Birdpaw can start visiting her there?
