"Hello!" Wrenkit yapped gleefully, bounding over to her two denmates. "What're you doing?!" She asked, green gaze darting between the two kits before landing on Mossykit. Oh! Playing with tails! "Can I play? Can I play?!" She asked, chasing her own tail in circles. "See! I can do it too! I can, I can!"
Mossykit stopped spinning to see her fellow denmates she smiled big and happily"Hi Foxkit i'm mossykit nice to meet you." she purred then turning to wrenkit who came up"hi wrenkit I'm trying to catch my tail" she said then starting to spin she kept trying to catch her tail

What now? He’d done all the conclusive thinking he needed to do, there was nothing left in his agenda. Yet for some reason it just didn’t feel good? After his humiliating practice interruption from the previous day with Mushroomkit he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to go practice anymore hunting crouches, there was something mildly humiliating about having a kit all up in your business like that. Especially when you were trying to be serious. Autumnkit and Mushroomkit… how unlucky. Singepaws muzzle twitched as the memory replayed itself a few times. Autumnkit tackling him, Mushroomkit leaping right over him. No, it would do no use being frustrated over it. He, like them lacked lots of training, but on the flip side he had one thing did not. A drive to be good, maybe not the best, but better than most. Besides, all the fun and labouring work of becoming the best would be spent once you reached the top. Then what? Defend a title you have secured? Boring. There must’ve always been someone higher up, some other challenge to-
The sun was blocked and the unmistakable chill of having someone looming right over your shoulder overwhelmed him. The fiery apprentice sat upright at once, spinning to face whoever had come to interrupt his thinking. Expecting to turn and see eye to eye with a warrior he was mildly surprised to see Dawnstar. Well. Dawnstars shoulder. He cocked his head back to look up at the she cat, the necklace of scars just at his head height. He’d never been so close to the shadowclan leader and quite frankly it was just as he had expected. Menacing. One might think Singepaw would’ve been intimated, but there was something about seeing a cat at peak physical form. What he could only deduct Dawnstar was at. It was a motivation if nothing else.
He almost missed the question as he made his quick observations and had to snap back at attention as she finished off her inquiry. ”You actually.” there was a bit of an audacious tone to his voice but it seemed to fizzle out in his facial expression. If starclan was as influential as they claimed to be, this was quite literally a perfect scenario to monopolize on. ”I was deciding what I had to do about my mentor situation-“ he added with a slight tip of his head ”in fact just as you had shown up I had made the decision to catch you at your next availability” what a chunky sentence, he lifted the one paw and jammed it against his other regretfully. It was truly humbling to be in front of someone and stumble over your words the way he had, it felt like leaders demanded some kind of respect and courtesy when speaking but he just… wasn’t like that? Sure he could throw in a few fancy words. But he was straight forward, a matter of fact kind of guy. And honestly, trying to cloak it underneath this… whatever this was felt so awkward and unnatural.
There was just a faint glimmer of fear that Dawnstar wouldn’t appreciate it, but boldness ought to be respected didn’t it? That’s how anybody got anywhere, not kissing ass, being straight forward, different and noticeable. Or would she want a more subservient and obedient type? No. That couldn’t be it. He recalled the enforcers for a moment and finished the internal debate with a decision that boldness was the most authentic and eye catching way to go. His brown eyes met her deep amber ones and another wave of half confidence churned in his belly. ”Im afraid of getting a bad mentor, I’m afraid of missing out on a possible raid. Dawnglare disappearing couldn’t have come at a worse time for me.”
his gaze shifted away for a moment, the cogs in his head churning for the next few words ”so I figured who better to ask than you. If anybody could ensure I’m capable of any raid activities it would be you. On top of the fact, you are the only one I could beg for a decent mentor. Though I’m confident I could make due with whatever I was given, but I would rather not risk it.” his voice seemed to regain some of the strength he’d felt and his eyes drifted back upwards to meet hers. “And maybe… if you had the time? Show me a few things.” He felt a sort of excitement in his paws anticipating her answer, awaiting the chance for her face to react before her words did and decode what she felt before she even spoke

Blinking lazily at the small flame, Dawnstar seemed unsurprised to hear his response considering it seemed that everyone seemed to seek her these days. It was funny, how many seasons ago she had been nothing more than her mother's shadow. Her name was only known as being the daughter of a leader, now she had outgrown such a shadow and cast her own bigger and all-encompassing within her clan. She could only hope that the younger generation, the future generations of ShadowClan could follow in her footsteps. However, these days she often questioned whether most of the clan-born younglings had any right to claim what should be their birthright. So many disappointments, each one seemingly worst than the last.
Oh, but this one might be a little more... thoughtful than the others. It's been a long while since she's had an apprentice bright enough to request a mentor change without her taking it upon herself to remember who had vanished and who remained. Singepaw seemed to be trying to impress her to some extent, although it appeared that even he thought what was coming out of his mouth was a bit much if the way he fumbled around like an antsy kit was anything to go off of. A spark of amusement lit up her amber pools, as she observed the paw without saying anything at first.
She could particularly see the gears turning in his little head. A corner of her lips lifted resembling something of a smirk. She doesn't believe she's seen a cat this awkward in her presence since Nightshiver's return. It was funny. He talked a lot too, she wondered if that was a nervous thing he did. Still, even though it sounded like he was merely repeating himself. The scarred feline's facial expression didn't move much, but her golden orbs remain aglow with something akin to inquisitiveness. "You talk a lot," She snorts, tail swaying behind her in large sweeping waves.
"I'm aware of Dawnglare's disappearance and am going to reassign you either way, but I'm glad you asked it shows that you do care about your training. Since you asked, I'll make sure to give you to one of my more promising warriors." Lifting a giant paw and unsheathing the equally large claws, the leader took a moment to nip at an itch in her front paw before she continued. "I don't have plans to raid anyone at the moment but to participate in such a thing you'd need battle training. If you're so worried about it, I'd go and search for a cat to teach you some battle moves or something, you don't need your mentor to learn new things, they're just expected to take care of your training." Dawnstar explains. Mentors were important yet with their track record of ShadowClan mentors and warriors, she didn't really care who trained the paws so long as they got the education necessary to become loyal warriors.
"I never have much time, but I suppose I can indulge you for a bit. You want to learn how to fight, I can show you how I fight." Dawnstar was clearly uninterested in teaching him the usual way. The weather was nice and there were foxes lurking around and she wanted a fox pelt, plus cats can learn through visual stimulation as well. Singepaw's bright red pelt was really eye-catching, he should make good fox bait.

"Nice to meet you too!"Fox kit turned to look at Wrenkit placing her tail over her paws "Your gonna fall over if you keep spinning like that Wrenkit!" Foxkit giggled watching the kit spin in circles in attempt to catch her tail "I bet I'll catch mine first!"Foxkit declared before glancing at her tail and chasing the white tip as she spinned around
Aspenpaw idly sat by, waiting for the day when he'd get freedom
Lynxblossom hummed to herself quietly as she groomed her pelt
Hollowpaw was slowly beginning to realize that being an apprentice wasn't that interesting.
Pumpkinglare had no realizations at all, his thoughts were dead.

Hawkbite sighed quietly as the shock from Mirehound finally blew over the camp. His gaze moved away from the clan chatter and instead focused on the entrance. Perhaps he'd go on a hunt? He'd just need someone to come with him.
Now, who would want to come hunting with him?

Just as death came, life went on in a quiet manner. A certain dull always fell over camp when a body was brought in, a dull that lasted until days later, especially if this someone was important to others. Sometimes, she pitied those who died but were never really dulled; only buried and forgotten. Would she be like that once day? The thought was oddly frightening. And yet, the feline couldn't help the feeling that she was already forgotten. A ghost among shadows. Though her life had always been like that, there were a few lights that lit up her night. The rare smile, the rare friend, the rare moment of peace. As she sat near the camp's entrance, idly looking out over the large, dark forest, her mind was never at peace. Always running, always working; though there was something calming about the swaying of the trees. Something nice. She cherished that.

"M-me.. neither.." Foxkit plopped herself on the ground, breathing heavily When I'm a big strong warrior I'm going to catch all the tails!!" Wrenkit stated. Foxkit's eyes widened "I don't know... catching tail's is a lot of work.." Foxkit replied with a glance at her own tail that was swishing back and forth
