[FINDER]Bring on the Good Times

Good morning, Shadowclan! Newleaf is just around the corner and leafbare's drama was apparently not enough. With strife against Thunderclan looming and the weather ripening for conflict, what could possibly go wrong? Except losing their entire herb supply...

In the coming days, Elmshadow will receive a prophecy warning him about an impending disaster that will ruin Shadowclan's herb supply. After waking, he will find a sign that he takes as pointing him in the direction of the cat who will protect the herbs. This cat is young and inexperienced but, without knowing the exact threat, he can't find a reason to ignore it. So this cat, likely along with a few others, will be chosen by Elmshadow, Ivysnake, and Dawnstar to help guard the herbs. However, when the threat does arrive (likely in the form of a rat that has broken into camp) the young warrior/older apprentice's inexperience is made apparent when they chase after the rodent in an attempt to kill it but end up chasing it straight into the herb stores. In the chase and scuffle, a majority of the herbs are damaged beyond saving.

Roles:
- A young warrior or older apprentice. They will be the subject of the sign from the Dark Forest but will ultimately chase the rat into the herb stores, damaging the herb supply - Daypaw @xavier.
- Other guards (0/3?). These will be cats who have some level of trust from Elmshadow, Ivysnake, and/or Dawnstar

Considerations:
- The young warrior/apprentice must have some role in the destruction but whether that is simply accidentally chasing the rat in and then stopping, chasing it in circles inside the den until it's chased back out, or getting into a full on scuffle inside the den and killing the rat is up to you (or open for other courses)
- The young warrior/apprentice may be subject to Dawnstar's wrath. As long as they were simply doing their job and it came down to pure inexperience and not blatant stupidity, Elmshadow will vouch for them but keep in mind that if Elmshadow deems your cat's course of action as stupid then they will not have his support and may end up being punished. You've been warned
- Other guards, depending on circumstances and prevailing moods, these cats may also be subject to punishment or disappointment
- The guards will likely be split into shifts, working in pairs, so most likely whoever is not "on duty" will escape punishment. The partner of the young warrior/apprentice may or may not be safe, however

Daypaw

Personality
Daypaw is a hard working apprentice and member of ShadowClan. Though he is also very family oriented. Daypaw also tends to brag about how cool his mom (Dappledleaf) and sister (Larkfire) are. It can be easy to get on Daypaws bad side from a simple wrong look or how you flirt with his sister (Looking at you Darkfall). Sometimes Daypaw doesn't think twice and can run head first into situations as they happen. Daypaw isn't afraid to speak his mind either.

Okay
1. Like I said Daypaw tends to not think twice when it comes to some situations. Daypaw would most likely panic and try to quickly get the rat out only resulting in the herbs getting ruined.

2. I believe Elmshadow thinks highly of Dappledleaf so in case I think he would believe her own son would be capable in protecting the herbs.

3. Rn Daypaw is in his own little plot with his blood mother who is in the Dark Forest. There is a chance I could use the whole aftermath of this as part of him getting manipulated by his blood mother.

Personality

Deadfeather is a rather... odd cat, they rarely show any emotion other than fury and the occasional enjoyment. Rather than to try and get on the clans bad side, the fury and wrath of the entirety of Shadowclan, they try to stay on Dawnstar's and the rest of the clans neutral or good side if they're lucky.

Role

Young/inexperienced warrior (17 moons)

Why would they be a good fit?

They have some fighting experience, but has never faced a rat before, and would love to slaughter a rat that dares to attack the clan, although they are ambitious, they aren't against dawnstar or Elmshadow, or even Ivysnake. Rather, they quite like them, Deadfeather thinks they make the clans stronger, allowing the clan to stay an image of fear in the other clans. And of course, they are experienced in fighting cats, not rats.

Personality: ^^ mentioned above. But singe is a bright eyed, sarcastic, slightly audacious youngster. He is ambitious in what he wants and it’s all about the networking. He wants to be liked, respected, reach the top wrung. Any opportunity he sees? He’s going to take it and run with it like a mad man!
Role: Another guard!
Why would they be a good fit?: Singe will not let Elm not let him do this job. He wants to gain respect from his fellow shadowclanners. His ambition will make him stellar at the job and relentless in asking for it! Honestly, Elm/Daw/Ivy might get annoyed of him asking lol. I can also see him and Daypaw butting heads when they’re both trying to go for the same thing! Though this may not be totally great for the actual relationship singe has with anybody, he will get defensive of himself and make sure everyone knows that whatever happened was no fault of his own! Could spawn possible future tension between singe and the shc highranks

Accepted! He won't be paired with Daypaw as Elmshadow wouldn't put two apprentices on the same guard duty together so he wouldn't be on duty when the incident occurs but that could make his insistence that he had nothing to do with it all the more entertaining.
