The silver-furred molly listened on as Bumblestar started talking about the Keepers rank, and something seemed to light up in Galebird's blue gaze. The positions hadn't been completely filled in a long time, not since they were first introduced if she remember correctly. But now there were some tweaks to the rank, with the possibility to challenge a Keeper or even become one as an apprentice. Both were good details and she was sure both would motivate her clanmates to work harder and set good goals for themselves (well, they shouldn't need a reason other than it just helping the clan as a whole), and it would assure the rank was held by Thunderclan's finest.

Four were also appointed as not to leave Flameheart alone. Galebird didn't know them too well and had only interacted with a few during things like patrols, but if anyone had issues with the four chosen cats and believed they could do better, they could always challenge them.

But after cheering for the cats who had just earned a new rank as per custom, Galebird fell silent once more. There were still two more ranks to be filled: medicine cat and deputy. At least she hoped Bumblestar would have a cat picked out for both positions. A deputy would be good to have even if there were Keepers, and someone to officially train to be a medicine cat would be really important, regardless of whoever else with herbal knowledge was helping. Galebird briefly glanced around her, not helping the small part of her from wondering who would be appointed. Not anyone of the new Keepers and it was unlikely it would be Flameheart either, but further than that, she didn't really have many possible cats in mind.

Hmm, it was quite nice to see Bumblestar already adjusting to the rank of leader and appointing new Keepers. Adding her voice to the cheer, the calico molly remained a calm demeanor.

In all honesty, she was rather bored, yay, new Keepers, whatever. It seemed for the tortoiseshell apprentice really the only thing to satisfy her mind was training. It was true this was the case because of her family, when they had passed, she learned to push her emotions way down, cause to show real emotion was to show weakness, right?

Alright. So there were returning cats, a ton of reassignments (great cats, there were so many), and the whole "keep things a secret rule." Nothing much was new there. Cats came and went in ThunderClan, for reasons Alderstep could never understand. He didn't consider himself a problem when it came to keeping his mouth shut about clan secrets. Since when was he ever the friendly type at gatherings, anyway? Never. At least, that was what his memory told him. Alderstep didn't find any argument against the Keepers system, though he probably wouldn't have said anything about it anyways. It wasn't so much about how one became a Keeper, but whether they actually helped. That being said, the system probably helped with the latter. Alderstep didn't feel like thinking about all of that, though. This time, his yawn actually escaped his jaws. Sure, this meeting was important to set things in order and yada yada, but those two seconds of sleep were beginning to kick in. He regretted his choices.

Keeper positions were next, Houndchaser couldn’t say they were surprised. Spiderthroat going to from Temporary Medinice cat to Keeper was, however. He was still watching over Miss. Mass murderer right? Houndchaser prayed he still was. Sootfur being made a keeper was long-overdue in their eyes. The warrior was proud that the credit was finally given to him for his duties. All Houndchaser knew about Gentledoe and Asterdance was that they were a bunch of toe lickers to Bumblstar and clearly it was paying off. Houndchaser wouldn’t chant names, this wasn’t an apprentice or warrior ceremony, it wasn’t necessary. Houndchaser found themself on the verge of leaving the meeting if this was all that it contained, although the perhaps naming of deputy was truly interesting, so they decided to stay for now.

Ah, more efficient changes to the Keepers of Thunderclan. Yet another solid decision by the newly appointed leader.

Nodding pensively as he mulled over the new process, Lioncrest couldn't find many holes in Bumblestar's logical plan. She certainly was taking an effective stance to solidify her leadership right from the get-go. Admirable really; Thunderclan needed more of that fire these days. And perhaps these new changes would encourage the apprentices of his clan to dig their paws into their training with a bit more fervor.

His rumbling voice called out the names of the newly appointed Keepers, and the large tom gave each of them that he could see a nod of acknowledgement before awaiting whatever else Bumblestar wished to announce.

Paws-crossed it was a nomination for deputy alongside their medicine cat positions. Stars only knew that they could scrape by without proper leadership for so long.

Sootfur's ears perked up suddenly at the sound of his name being called out among the others. He was... a Keeper?
Turning around, he grinned at his mate and nuzzled her joyfully. "Eheh, I guess you're my boss now, ma'am." He whispered in her ear, chuckling slightly as he did so.
I am a Keeper now! Oh Starclan, I hope I'm fit for this role.

The gray tabby stepped forward and dipped his head to his leader, puffing out his chest before speaking. "I am honored, Bumblebreak. And I will gladly take this place beside my fellow clanmates as a Keeper." He announced proudly, a prick of sadness in his eyes as he thought of Darkpetal. His former mentor would have been proud, too, if he'd still been alive.

Ah, the topic of Keepers! Gentledoe had almost forgotten the little question Bumblestar had asked her with the amount of chaos happening as of late. Her tail flicked and she looked up, listening closely. Keepers could be challenged, but only Keepers could challenge the Head. It made sense to her, at least. Challenging the head Keeper without being a Keeper in general would be a little silly- and unfair to the Keepers who had worked hard to earn their ranks. She was silently thankful that the Keepers could choose whether to use claws or not. If she were to be challenged... she didn't want any unnecessary injuries.

Ah, and Keepers would be in charge of the kit curriculums! Gentledoe didn't mind that. She was already meant to be a teacher before this, so it wouldn't be much of a difference for her. The messy-furred she-cat quietly hummed to herself in approval. Hopefully the incentive of becoming a Keeper would draw in apprentices to do their best as well. Briefly, she glanced at Wolfpaw. Wherever he was in training, she would be sure to drive him to do his best moving forward.

Then came the announcement. Bicolored eyes rose once more as Bumblestar spoke her name, a smile curling at her lips. She silently dipped her head. As a Keeper, she would do her best. Her Clan had been struggling for far too long and if this was her chance to help it, then she would step up and do what she could. Oh, but Asterdance was also appointed as a Keeper! Gentledoe's smile grew and she turned, nudging the other's shoulder. Ah, thankfully she hadn't interrupted little Russetpaw, only just noticing the red-furred apprentice. Offering a flick of her tail to the she-cat, she refocused on Asterdance.

"Hey, love, we're both Keepers now!" she purred quietly, not wanting to disturb the meeting.

Ah, what was the next announcement to be? Interest sparked in Gentledoe's eyes and she perked her ears to listen (though her gaze remained focused on Asterdance. She almost didn't want to look away, for some reason).

The spotted tabby seated herself once again, her tail curled neatly over her front paws. Thanks to her thick pelt, she hadn’t even noticed the rain until it had soaked through her fur. Her gaze shifted upwards, staring up at the clouds above just as a raindrop landed… Inside her ear. Eek, it felt gross, but she wasn’t going to make a scene, deciding to just sit there in an uncomfortable silence, ear twitching.

Oh, right, the Keepers! Bumblestar was promoting new Keepers! It was good news to her, and it made her feel kind of relieved. Thunderclan had certainly been falling apart as of late, but with a batch of new Keepers, she was feeling less anxious about the state of the clan.

Not wanting to disrupt the meeting, she decided to keep her words of congratulations to herself for now.
