Holy crap, that felt good. Pride bubbled up in Goldenhawks chest as he was finally awarded his warrior name, a giddy grin growing on his face. Alongside his siblings, too? Stars, it was almost too good to be true. All it took was beating the snot out of a ShadowClan apprentice, and look where he ended up.

He went to lightly bump his head against Bumblestars shoulder after she finished addressing him, lowering his voice into a whisper only she and maybe his fellow kreachers would hear, "I, uh, know I didn't show it a lot, but thanks. I of course had a lot of raw talent and that I undoubtedly outshined a lot of the other apprentices, but I probably wouldn't be here without your help" He kicked his paw awkwardly at the dirt below him, gaze averted. Ew, okay, he was never doing that again. It felt weird as hell.

He quickly shook it off, though, and turned to his siblings with a large grin. Formality be damned, it was time to party, "LETS GOOO!" he whooped, leaping to tackle the other newly appointed warriors in a huge hug.

Hidden as he was in the shadows, Fudge kept alert. Partly because he still felt paranoid. Self conscious after having realized he couldn't even identify who Tiger... something or other - great, he'd already forgotten the extra words stuck in there - was, and partly because he felt so out of place. Exposed. At three moons old, he didn't think he was particularly young to start this training thing. His life out on the streets had taught him that you were never too young to have a cat try to maul you. But he still felt oddly small compared to some of the other new apprentices... never mind the older ones getting their names changed.

The celebration only made him feel all the more paranoid. These cats were... celebrating. Cheering on the accomplishments of four cats right after having thrown away one of their own? Casting him out for what? Care with the twolegs? Don't make him laugh. Angry claimed to have lived with the housefolk and to have known them to be kind? Yeah, he'd known a few kind cats in the streets as well, didn't mean that all the cats were kind. This Blazingwhatever would probably get cast out too. But that didn't matter, did it? Because it was time to make merry and have fun!

A shudder ran down Fudge's spine at the thought. He'd come to this forest for safety. A better chance at survival. The stranger had told him here he would find a haven. Cats who cared for each other and stood by each other, no matter what.

The stranger had lied. Or had his memories plagued by an odd sense of nostalgia. But these cats? They were no different to the ones in the streets. True, they kept together in a bigger group, but they were the same. Make no mistake about it. If you were of no use, no amount of sentimentality would save you. You were out, and may the fickle housefolk take pity on your otherwise useless pelt.

Realizing he was trembling in fear, Fudge curled up, wrapping his dark tail around himself in an attempt to hide his weakness. He couldn't show any, or else he would be kicked out as well. The chocolate point kit knew that he wouldn't survive out on his own, and he'd already been kicked out of his first home with no housefolk taking pity upon him. Sure, his littermates had found homes, but he'd had no such luck. He needed to learn. Become stronger and self sufficient. Not attract attention to himself. Maybe that way he wouldn't be bullied out of this place as well before he could even make himself feel at home again.

Oh, whatever afterlife was gracious enough, give her strength.

Bumblestar's gaze darted to Mapleface as the queen spoke out, and the fur along her spine rose out of irritation. Was it so hard to listen to simple instructions to wait? Especially immediately following ceremonies?

Thankfully, Sharpclaw was quick to address her, and Bumblestar found herself liking the warrior more and more with each passing second. "As you're about to hear," she said dryly, "I have far bigger matters to concern myself with, and I need my Hornets here to handle things that might come up. Twolegplace is safe as long as you're not stupid. I've got full confidence in Sharpclaw's ability, and if you don't, then you're more than welcome to tag along yourself." Her gaze darted to the kits nearby, and she sniffed. "But I wouldn't recommend it. If you've got anything else to say to me, you can do that once I'm done. Be quiet and wait."

Dammit. She felt a headache coming on. She squeezed her eyes shut briefly before shaking her head and electing to move on. "Obviously a lot of raw talent," she muttered to Goldenpaw, the corner of her mouth quirking up in an amused smirk. Ha. Group hug. Cute.

Bumblestar ascended the Stormcrest again, just ready to get this over with.

"Now, we may have kept Sunkissed Creek, but we've also lost a huge chunk of territory. There were more sinkholes than the one that swallowed our old camp, and several have formed a pretty big ravine through the territory. We're cut off from Giant's Rest, Wisteria Falls, and the Mossy Den, 'n access to Herondive Hollow's been limited, too. We can get there, but only by going over a tree that fell across the thinner part of the ravine." She tossed Alderstep a glance, hoping the tom was paying attention. "Younger apprentices shouldn't be going anywhere near Herondive Hollow. Too dangerous. If you fall in, you're not comin' back out.

"To replace what we lost, we're expanding into the outskirts some. I want three patrols of four cats each put together. If you're down for a little exploration, tell me now and I can get that going immediately."

There was a plethora of words being used, none of which particularly appealed to Alderstep's ears. It was like the droning buzz of a bug, bzzzz bzzz...like hornets...bzzz...oh. Alderstep blinked, appearing to have lost some more time. Stars, this was embarrassing. If either of his apprentices noticed, he was going to crawl into a hole and stay there for eternity. Who just...dozes off during a meeting? He did, apparently. Sourly, Alderstep watched Bumblestar go back up the Stormcrest. He didn't have to go up there too, did he? Nobody needed him up there, not really. Climbing would be too much work, and his muscles definitely were not down for more activity. If he could just never go up there, that'd be nice. In fact, he decided right then and there to just stay on the ground. Forever. Perhaps even melt into a puddle while he's at it since he felt so out of it right now.

Ah, and here was the big one. Lost territory. Lovely. All his favorite places to go were swallowed by the earth. Alderstep sighed in melancholy, sitting up when Bumblestar looked at him. (great cats, what if she caught him snoozing off?) His mind wandered for a split second, something horribly, splendidly clever crossing his mind. Suppose, if you will, ShadowClan became too much of a problem, or perhaps they were trying to go to ThunderClan...pushing that tree into the ravine was something so malicious that Alderstep got the urge to look over his shoulder, hoping to the stars nobody knew that he was thinking of dooming cats to fall down the ravine should they be on that tree. The idea probably wouldn't even work, and he couldn't be sure of it until he saw what Herondive Hollow looked like. It was just a dirty trick, and he doubted ShadowClan would fall for it.

Done with that disturbing thought, Alderstep cleared his throat. "I'll, uh, join one of those patrols," he spoke up, wincing at the way his bitten throat seized as he meowed. He'd spent some time during a younger era of his life nosing around by the outskirts, maybe his (dying) familiarity with the outer reaches could be of use. Probably not, though. Either way, he would very much like to be there when the clan was expanding.

His ears twitched as others began to speak up, something something, someone getting kicked out, something something. He wasn't sure, but he was sure he'd hear about more of it here later, considering how many were against whatever their new 'Cat In Charge for a Moon' decided.

He looked up as Apprentices were given their Warrior names, and a smile appeared on his face. Last he remembered, those kits were stubborn cottonballs, who decided the world was too unfair. So, the spite filled little things, decided to stick it to the world. Maybe ThunderClan was healing...but at the same time, what the heck did She mean by Hornets?

Oh, but what was said next piqued his interest. With a huff the tom stood up, keeping eye contact with Bumblestar, hoping she'd realize hey. He would like to go. Because there was no way, in all the stars in the sky, he would yell over this crowd.

Sunleap meowed I'm up for joining one of the patrols. @dino. Rainclaw listened to Bumblestar. Dogkit still wanted to be a apprentice. Sheepkit kept grooming herself. Beetlekit listened to the meeting. She though oh no! They had lost territory! Even thought Beetlekit was only a kit, she knew that losing territory was bad.

It felt surreal, being under the spotlight of Thunderclan for a good reason. Ever since her fatal mistake Pebs had hated putting herself in the clan's eye... knowing judgement was all that would follow. When she'd spoken up after Thunderclan's collapse, former leader Thrushstar had narrowed his gaze. She'd felt so small. But now? Now all she felt was love.

Pebblepaw was no more. The care-free, cowardly apprentice she had once been... the apprentice that had grown a family so close that most of them were up here with her - was gone. Now she was Pebbleshine. A warrior who brought light to the clan who often found themselves without it. She couldn't help but beam up at Bumblestar as the leader's nose pressed against her forehead. "Thank you for everything." She murmured over the purr that had erupted in her chest as soon as her big brother was named.

Goldenhawk. Wolfmist. Hazelflash. Pebbleshine. Not too far sat Foxflurry. The Kreachers were all together again for this joyous moment. She beamed down at her sister - noting that she seemed a bit off. A check up would be in order. Did it have to do with whatever Bumble was blabbering about before? She should've been paying attention. She then turned to Sorreldust. Thank you momma. She mouthed, offering her a proud grin. Next Mudhound, who received a wink. All warriors she couldn't have done this without.

Once the ceremony was over, it was time for more boring business. "I can go! I'm an adult now after all!" Pebbleshine offered smugly.
