A few new additions to the clan, some reassignments, and so on. Nothing was terribly out of the ordinary, which made Alderstep feel hazy and bored. Despite everything, at least the few reassignments meant that fewer cats were slacking off or disappearing. A small victory that was so close to the bare minimum that Alderstep couldn't bring himself to mentally celebrate it.
He cast a quick glance to the apprentice at his side, noting that his other had yet to join the meeting. Faint worry colored the russet's insides, but he only reassured himself that she must be sleeping through the meeting. Seeing as he'd done so himself a couple of times in the past, Alderstep let it slide. Who wouldn't want to be in their nest at this time? The deputy looked back to Bumblestar, waiting for the rest of her announcements.
Alderstep couldn't help the surprise that tinged his expression when he heard that Sootfur had stepped down. Maybe it made sense, though. He'd never understand the cat's grief for his lost mate, but it was plain obvious that was what the warrior was experiencing. It was probably for the best, even though Sootfur was one of their greatest warriors.
At the mention of the sinkholes, Alderstep turned his gaze to the setting sky. They'd lost a lot to those. More than he'd bring himself to ever admit. At least they'd gotten some territory back. It's what they needed the most at the moment. He blinked and brought his eyes back down to the Stormcrest, slowly realizing what Bumblestar could possibly mean by a solution to get more territory.
A lot of cats were volunteering themselves for the position of Hornet. Alderstep tuned them out, knowing that Bumblestar would make her decision on her own time, and definitely not at this meeting. But there was Wildtwist, asking about restrictions. Alderstep refrained from sighing. It probably wouldn't be nice of him to pipe up and say something like 'if a dumb apprentice falls down a pit, that's their problem, not mine.' Sounding apathetic, like Dawnstar, really did not seem like a good idea. And yeah, okay, maybe it was valid to worry about 'paws falling down pits, but they wouldn't even be out there anyway without their mentor or some other warrior. They still had general restrictions, so Alderstep saw no reason for worry. Oh well, he'd just have to wait and see if Bumblestar agreed: he still felt fairly new to the position, and talking for her definitely was not a great idea. Plus, Wildtwist had directly addressed Bumblestar.

Sootfur stepped down? Springpaw’s lapis blue hues welled with concern and worry for the tom-cat that had decided to step down, frowning immensely at the thought. Sure, it was definitely disappointing to know that one of ThunderClan’s greatest warriors had stepped down from such an honorable position, but she supposed it was going to be something that would’ve evidently happened at some point. The tom had been looking rather glum for the past few moons; mainly regarding the fact that his mate was missing. Springpaw didn’t know much about love life, nor did she ever have any interest towards it, but hopefully the tom-cat had some sort of peace after stepping down from such a prestigious position. Maybe eventually some of the cats in her clan could eventually offer themselves up as a possible Hornet in replacement for Sootfur? It seemed to be that a lot of cats were trying to offer themselves up for the task, and all it caused was a jitter of uncomfort swirl through Springpaw’s belly. Would they be able to handle the task better than those last warriors did? Hopefully, because it seemed that a lot of cats were trying to offer themselves up for becoming an Hornet—especially apprentices. Gosh, there were so many cats offering themselves. What in the world was Bumblestar going to do to handle that?

Hmm. Something about somebody named Sooty stepping down. Something about Hornets being needed. Something about Spidey, Gentle, and Aster. The flame-point wasn’t really exactly listening on with what the leader was saying, far too dazed out with staring at a late firefly that almost landed atop of his little brown nose, making him giggle at its sudden appearance. The little guy was always distracted so easily.
“Well, that’s a shame, really. I surely hope the darling does better with his retirement.” The petite feline mewed, whisking the tip of her snow-white tail as she flashed a sympathetic look towards the direction of Sootfur, silently wishing him luck. Hornets were a huge necessity for the clan, and if the snow-furred molly was being honest, she didn’t have much of an interest in becoming an Hornet, or even bothering to offer up the responsibility. It felt like it would only cause a strain on the gentle molly and she was absolutely certain that she didn’t want anything ruining her perfect, snow-white coat. She was just as pretty and prissy like that; she liked to remain clean and petite unlike most cats. Disgusting things like dirt and grime were absolutely nasty to her, as they only ruined her perfect coat and made her look rather ‘unladylike’. She preferred to look pretty and beautiful instead.

"BAH!"
Rosekit said as they scrambled out of the nursery after watching their mama leave it. Now Rosekit didn't want their mama to be ALL ALONE out here! So they followed her! Best idea ever! Rosekit stood at the entrance of the nursery looking around and seeing all the faces of other cats who weren't their mama. That's when Rosekit turned their head and spotted her in a corner.
"Mama!!"
The little kit exclaimed before bolting it to the queen. The moment the kit got to their mama they pranced circles around her letting out happy giggles.

Ugh! Another meeting? Why did Bumblestar ALWAYS hold these whenever he had something better to do!? It didn't matter now, his awesomeness would just have to wait. Stomping into the clearing he looked around for somewhere to sit. Heart skipping a beat, his amber eyes landed on Mapleface. Yay! At least she was here! Eagerly changing directions, Cracklepaw scampered over to his sister. Excitement only dampening when he realized her ugly baby had already taken his spot.... Oh well, he guessed he couldn't take up all of Maples attention. That was her own child after all....
Letting it slip from his mind, he finally closed the distance," Maples!" Chirping happily, he attempted to lightly headbutt his sister with his awesome affection. Plopping down beside her, he let out a rough purr before rubbing up against her: idly trying to ignore the fact that the very devil was at her paws. That creature didn't deserve his attention, so why bother accepting the fact that it even existed? Sniffing lightly he focused on the frivolous meeting. What was even happening anyway? More stupid apprentices? Great, JUST GREAT. This meant the apprentice den would be crowded, and if the den was crowed, he couldn't sleep... And if he couldn't sleep... He couldn't be a warrior... And if he couldn't be a warrior... He couldn't have a girlfriend! Ugh! Those stupid kits were ruining EVERYTHING.
When Mapleface had arrived at this meeting, she'd not been expecting company. However, it was near-impossible to deny it in the face of these adorable little darlings. Well... In Cracklepaw's case, not-so-little, but still. "Hey baby." She crooned lovingly, jade hues alight with pure, undiluted joy as Rosekit started dancing in circles around her. "Aw, did you, darling? I'm happy not to be alone." Ducking her head, the Red Queen aimed to nuzzle the kitten, sighing contentedly.
Cracklepaw arrived not too long after, with a cheery call to rival Rosekit's own. "Crackles." She purred in greeting, her tail fanning to life behind her as he bumped his head against her shoulder. Mapleface had noted that her little brother had gotten more affectionate lately, and she wouldn't complain one bit about it. It was nice to see the moody teenager faze fading away, or so she hoped. Attempting to give him a quick lick on the top of his head, the green-eyed damsel turned back to the meeting announcements.
Ah. Sootfur had stepped down. . . Hornet places were open - and yes, a bunch of cats chimed in to ask for the positions. And finally..... More hunting grounds. That was new, that was good. Or so, Mapleface could hope.
GENTLEDOE
messy-furred brown she-cat with one eye. she/her
She was late. Although she kinda had a reason to be, still healing from quite literally becoming half blind, but Gentledoe wanted to partake in a meeting. It was still strange, not being able to see out of one side of her face as she silently watched. However, she listened along as Bumblestar spoke of Sootfur and the Hornets. Hm, two positions for Hornets opening up. Gentledoe watched as warriors and apprentices stepped forward, volunteering for the position. A part of her felt a little pang of sadness- she hadn't been doing as much as she should. She wanted to be useful to her Clan, and she hadn't. All she had to show for her work was a missing eye and a grotesque scar on her face. Sighing, she gently lowered her head to rest her chin on her paws, just quietly observing.
The young apprentice listened as Bumblestar spoke. Her green gaze started wandering into the land of space as the words left her clueless. If Alderstep caught her right now, she was sure he'd bap her over the head. Something about a territory. . . blah blah blah. Eventually Treepaw had to blink and when she did, she refocused on Bumblestar asking about any questions. She stayed quiet, awaiting the next set of news.
The large tabby tom sat quietly, listening to the news. He'd be interested in seeing the how the old camp would look right now. Maybe eventually. It wouldn't be wise if he went alone, so he'd just wait on a patrol to be called for it or see if a friend wanted to explore sometime.
Icekit looked up at the many cats before him. His little tail swished slightly.
Brokenheart noticed Icekit and padded over. "Oh, hello." She mewed to him.
"Hi!!" He mewed.
Rateye let out a frustrated sigh and walked over. "Who in Starclan- oh, a new kit. Where'd you come from?"
"My mother got killed by a meanie of a Tom so I entered the territory and that large cat on that rock said I could join the clan!" Icekit mewed.
"My condolences regarding the death of your mother, and welcome to Thunderclan. That cat up there is Bumblestar, she leads the clan. That's the storm crest that she's stood on. Its where all the meetings are held." The explanation continued.
The pelts of his clanmates swirled and glowed, the vibrant colours stinging his eyes. But Dreampaw didn't feel deterred from joining the meeting. Meetings were always interesting, even when it was mainly cats shouting and caterwauling, saying things he didn't understand. The word 'Hornet' he did understand though, and when Bumblestar said she might let an apprentice become one, that just peaked his interest even more. Wouldn't it be fun though? If he was chosen? He heard some of the cats around his call out, saying that they would like to be one. Maybe he should shout to. If he did it loud enough, it would work. No, it would work. This world was harder to control than in the self-monikered his world, but if he focused enough... "I-" Not loud enough. "I WOULD LIKE TO BE ONE!!!" He shouted at the top of his lounges. That had to work!

Brokenpaw Stumbled over to her mentor with a look that could kill on her face... she wasn't mad at anyone, just down in the dumps and sick of it... "Jaggedface" She meowed in Greeting

Shypaw: Shadow Fiend, Beefed Up
Shypaw Listened Closely To Bumblestar's Words. So, Apprentices With Enough Experiance could Request to be Made Hornets, or in this case hope to be picked.
Shypaw Rested her Head On her Tail... She Wanted so Badly to Request to be Considered... But Could She really be qualified? She'd Barely Made it Out of Camp A few times, Gotten Into a Fight recently, dispite having zero knoowledge about combat skills... she couldn't hunt yet... or climb for that matter... What Help Would She Be.... "maybe someday" Shypaw murmured softly, before closing her eyes
She blinked in surprise as a very angry-looking Brokenpaw came up to her mid-meeting. “Are you alright, Brokenpaw?” she asked her apprentice, her scarred face softening. Brokenpaw needed to learn how to express her emotions. With someone or not. “I was thinking I could show you the territory after this meeting.” she suggested. Okay, she wasn’t actually thinking it, she just wanted to get her apprentice to feel a bit better. Other cats would’ve said, ‘She’s your apprentice, not your daughter!’. Even so, she wanted Brokenpaw to feel better
