Delvin tilted his head slightly while thinking. "However long you're willing to risk, I suppose," he ventured, "It'd only be hurting you." He looked down to the right, then back up. "Of course, if you rat me out we'd have a problem... But I feel as if you are to be trusted, at least, in that aspect," He reasoned, flexing his shoulders and purring a bit as she nuzzled him.

"I would never rat you out, Del in. What kind of she-cat do you take me for?" She asked, fake heartbreak in her voice. She pulled away from the tom, careful to keep a hidden eye on him as she turned her back to him, the appearance of hurt in her attitude. She made it appear like she had gotten slightly depressed that Delvin didn't trust her very much, even thought she wouldn't trust herself in the slightest. She had been sloppy with this tom, and knew shed have to make his life a living Dark Forest if he discovered her secrets.

Delvin didn't catch the act this time, and he began to feel apologetic towards her. He stood up and padded over, making his way around the she-cat to face her. "I didn't really expect you to..." He half lied, dipping his head down and nudging her shoulder in what he thought was an attempt to cheer her up. Her then glanced over at the crack in the wall. An orange glow now radiated through. 'Oh, no. The sun is going down. I should really get back, but I can't just leave her here...' Delvin thought. He sat back, his tail flitting from side to side nervously. "It's already Sun-Down. We have things to do and..." He words faded as he thought of the night's plans being organized, them asking for Delvin, cats realizing that he wasn't there... He was about to let her know that he didn't feel comfortable leaving her alone, but quickly took into consideration her aversion to his distrust of her. "Uh..." He murmured and started to pace.

Augustus was currently lying on his side, drawing his rough tongue over his paws. His rounded ears twitched every now and then, mainly when he drew his damp paw along his whisker pads which flattened his whiskers down. He had his eyes closed lazily into slits, his green irises peeking out as he watched the clearing. Of course, though, he closed his eyes whenever he brought his paw over his face to prevent poking his eye out. His rat-like tail waved against the ground slowly. He appeared to be content, but every time he moved a muscle he ached. And every time he was allowed time to think, his mind drifted towards his missing, considered-to-be-deceased, littermate, as well as the ferocious battle within the Clans.
The battle was where he got the several small scars dotting his flank, as well as the one on his muzzle. Simply thinking about the scars caused him to shift uncomfortably. Augustus remembered the pain that came with thorn-sharp claws being dragged along his side, and how it felt to feel pointed teeth drill into his limbs. He could often bear the pain, as he was a fighter, but it was different when multiple cats were attacking him at all sides.
And when he returned to the Dusk Syndicate, he had nobody to turn to. He would've went to his brother, but his littermate was no here. And he would usually scare away -or, annoy away - others with his cocky nature. This meant he had few friends, and whoever he could rely on were not around. Augustus frowned at his needy thoughts, You don't need anybody.
At this thought, he cleared his mind of anything that would disappoint the commander of the Dusk Syndicate. Anything that could be considered weak was no longer able to be found in his head. His features even hardened. Now, Augustus' paw was flat against the ground, and his eyes were narrowed as he stared at the ground before him. His tail quit moving, and it was now curled at his flank. His whiskers would twitch every few heartbeats, and his ear swiveled at the smallest of sounds.

Jinx, formally Jinxflare, had fled Shadowclan at the invitation of Hannibal. She had to. She had no idea what the clan would've done to her being that she was the evil leader's former apprentice. She still despised Skyclan and the clans in general for what had happened to Blazingnight. She was misunderstood in a way only Jinx could explain, but now she had no hope to express those things since the she-cat was dead.
Murmuring, Jinx found herself aimlessly walking through the forest she didn't know very well. It wasn't a smart thing for her to do, but she accidentally started doing so. She was a bit sturdier and muscular for what most cats thought of she-cats. She was proud of this, but knew without Blazingnight's training, she'd never have gone this far. Enough about the past.
Jinx blinked her yellow hues and paused. Her slender tail swished behind her as she looked around her surroundings. "Now where am I?" she murmured half to herself, spinning in a full circle to get a good look around. She was lost. She had no idea where she was. The ebony feline let out a hiss of frustration, unaware that laying nearby was another Dusk Syndicate cat. One that she'd heard about before merely because she knew of Renn before the ex-commander disappeared.

The Tom looked back to the Badger, it's balance was off now due to their efforts; Gold tore harder at his hind legs: causing it roar in agony. He lept away as it toppled over. The satisfying product of their efforts. The Tom smiled, as he turned back to Ajax. "Despite you hating me and me feeling neutral towards you; we make a solid fighting duo. And before you say 'I don't hate you, I just see you as weak coward who can't protect himself'. Please, allow me to remind you that is a reason why you hate. Period." The Japanese bobtail took in the scent of his surroundings, he padded up to the place he buried the mouse and gave it to Ajax. "A token of thanks." He mewed and dipped his head down slightly. "I would of been probably dead without you."

"Then why waste breath speaking of 'Might' when you are unsure, besides just by arguing can you really know if a cat is smart or not. I'm feeling confident that helping you may have been the most stupid choice I ever made" he answers stepping back. Watching as gold gave a smile, a simplist of triumphs for him. An average ocurance for himself. Defeating enemies large or small skilled or less skilled. These triumphs grew meaningless over the years. For the hunter he seemed oblivious to feeling of victory. The chances gold had of success or actually acomplishing something with his life was endless, maybe if Ajax took him on. To turn him like himself. Perhaps. Just perhaps. He looked over towards gold as he spoke again. "Certainly. I don't hate you. Like saying might I may not know if I dispiese you yet" meows the Tom sitting down and licking his blood stained claws and yawned. The badger nicked his shoulder ran his long claws down his tail and also slammed into his side. Taking the breath straight out of him. Fortunetly it wasn't that bad, he would survive without seeing a medic. Then watched as he set the offering down by his paws. He looked down at the mouse then back at the Tom, "Appreciated. Besides I would have to push those gruesome images out of my mind" he meows with a small snicker, giving way to his sarcastic reply. The Tom was certainly no mouse brain. He seems to get along well on his own. He had good sense of morals and position. Can be a tad mouthy. I can get rid of that.

Jamie was the most kind, friendly, and innocent of the personalities, so this was all very new to him. Jamie's fur fluffed up a little bit in anger, and his pale, honey colored gaze narrowed a bit, although the fear from earlier was coming back.
Hannibal's words stung, and he actually flinched as if the words actually hurt. Jamie bit his tongue before he could say something offensive to Hannibal. He still didn't know what this cat deemed a murder victim, or if he even chose for a reason.
Jamie shifted uncomfortably, wanting to just go back to the clearing. He couldn't shake the bad feeling. He was alone in the forest with a murderer. Not the safest place to be, and it wasn't like he was in a good position. He was Jamie. Jamie never hurt anybody. Never.
Jamie frowned, avoiding Hannibal's gaze. "You don't know me either," he said nervously. "I don't want to pick a fight. I never do." Jamie said.
Then, adding onto his last comment, he said, "You may think you know tons about me already, probably by the way I sit, or the way I speak, or even the way I look around. You can probably tell a lot about a cat by what they do.
But you don't know everything. There's more to a cat than what you think. You probably see us as dumb things that walk around and are too emotional to function.
It's probably easier without emotions right? But that's not always true. All I'm saying is that your lack of sentimentality for others will be your downfall, you know."
Jamie said, trying as best he could to not offend Hannibal, but he also did want to stand up for himself.
"And you're wrong about Haltie," Jamie added. "He's got great potential and could grow to be a great leader someday. And it's good to have fears. It keeps us aware of things that could hurt us, so we know to avoid them." He said. "Not, good day to you, but I'll be going now." Jamie said with a small amount of force, just to imply that he wasn't just some dumb, overempathetic kit, and started to pad away, back to the clearing.
|
{Woo, I've finally replied to the rp! xD}
Hannibal's gaze flickered casually to Jamie's back, noting the way the fur stood up before looking back at the tom's face, reading the expression there as anger, an emotion he was very familiar with. His own facial features changed not in the slightest thought, the other tom's anger did not frighten him or put him off in any sort of way, it truly didn't matter to the tom, just like most things.
This.. Personality, is sensitive. Easy to hurt. The tom noted as well, storing it away as information for Jamie, something that he could very easily use later if he ever encountered him again and needed to use it against him. After speaking, his fiery eyes watched him carefully, curious to see the reaction and seeing that Jamie was holding his tongue, apparently choosing his words carefully. Intelligent choice.
As the young tom shifted uncomfortably, the dark grey tom stood as still as ever, in fact, I don't think he's hardly even moved since he confronted Jamie out here in the territory.
"I never stated that I did know you." Meowed the tom simply enough as the other tom said that Hannibal 'didn't know [him] either'. "Oh? I never recall me stating that I wish to fight. Where would you draw that conclusion from?" The tom asked with an innocent tilt of his head, his brows arching a bit as if he were surprised by the suggestion, but like always, it was an act, this was all to get a measure of what type of cat Jamie truly was. And he was getting some interesting answers and results.
"No, I'm always sure to get my facts straight, I don't particularly like when things are wrong. You've given me plenty of information just by speaking to me, but it's certainly not enough to know you as a whole cat. You see, it's particularly frustrating when cats make assumptions about me, just like you're doing now. You think that I believe I know everything and yet those words have never come out of my mouth nor have they ever crossed my mind, that's why I study so that I can get to know more. If I thought I knew everything about you, you wouldn't still be speaking right now. My lack of sentimentality is just a fact, it's not a downfall and I assure you of that, though I suppose I can allow you to think what you believe, that is your natural right after all I suppose."
As Jamie began to speak again, a mocked look of confusion crosses his face.
"I never said that he wouldn't become a great leader. I suggest you stop putting words in my mouth, though it's just a suggestion."
As the tom started to pad away, Hannibal didn't move after him, his eyes watching as the cat disappeared. He had gotten plenty of useful information out of him this time around and to say in the least, he found it interesting and would most certainly begin to keep tabs on him. After Jamie had left, Hannibal mulled over and stored his information in his head for a while longer before flicking his tail and heading off deeper into the territory for one of his daily strolls.

((Do you want end this now? It seems like a good ending point.))
"I thouest speakest 'might' for I feel as thou should want to, or is you go annoying for you?" Gold mewed, a laughing, but joking tone behind it. His green eyes glimmering. "Or should I just shut up?" The Japanese bobtail looked over to his side and saw a large claw mark down his side, blood was slowly pooling out of it, Gold winced in disgust and grabbed some cobwebs from an old oak tree, and pressed them on his side, trying to copy the technique of healer, he looked up, "Now that's all done and dusted, what are going to do? Go back to whatever stuff you were doing or stay and chat? If I were you, I'd walk away, I can be very chatty sometimes. Vice or virtue? I can expand my knowledge and tactics, or I can waste time. Anyway, I best be going back, I'm not as strong as you and I was hit with the worst of the blows." The toms green eyes bore into Ajaxes, a strange sort of smugness coming from them; as though he had won a battle. "So, goodbye Ajax. Whether we meet again is decided by survival. Or, I don't know, coincidence, there is like, a hundred members. So I doubt we talk again. So goodbye." The Japanese bobtail limped of, white fur being bleached red from blood.

[ Sorry for the wait - depression sucks ]
Augustus' ears picked up the aimless steps of a fellow cat, and his head sharply swiveled to follow the sounds. His muscles tensed, and he shifted in his current position until he was prepared to shoot to his paws in a moments' notice. His thin tail whisked cautiously behind him, and his whiskers twitched as he opened his mouth slightly to scent the air. A rather tangy scent wafted towards him - nothing he was unfamiliar with as the Dusk Syndicate was flooding with foul smells.
Quickly, before he could pinpoint the stranger's location via scent, he saw her. His yellow-green eyes sparkled with interest. The slender yet muscular she-cat appeared familiar - where had he seen her? That'll bother me all day, he thought in annoyance. With a quiet grunt of frustration towards his mind, Augustus rose to his paws. He was a tall tomcat, towering over a majority of cats. It was rare for someone to be larger in height than he. Along with his insane height, he was more than slim than muscular. However, because he was so slender, his muscle was visible beneath a layer of thin, black fur. His ears were large, and rounded; they may even be bigger than his triangular head when combined. His tail resemble that of a rat's, thin and long. His features were sharp, and because his head was so small his eyes popped. They may be his most favorable feature - his eyes, that is. His pelt was black - not an ounce of a different color among the dark shade. His paw pads were dark gray, as is his nose. Even his whiskers were dark. Besides the light pink of his ear leather, his eyes were the only color that were not shadowy.
As Augustus studied the black-pelted molly, he considered his options. She hadn't noticed him yet... Should he abandon her to helplessly wonder? Perhaps he should approach her? She owned a stocky build, and was no doubt a skilled fighter. However, he was trained to fight, and if things went wrong, he was convinced he could win in a battle against her. Nothing to worry about, he silently assured himself. With a brief sigh, he adopted a cocky stance, and padded over to her. His steps were heavy as to announce to the unknown she-cat that he was there, and nearing her.
``Hey, stranger,`` He drawled. Augustus raked his gaze over her, his eyes continuing to gleam with interest. His nose twitched as he attempted to recognize her whether it be through scent or sight. That's it! ShadowClan! The battle of ShadowClan. How did I not recognize her? Days before the battle, a Dusk Syndicate cat named Rook had sent patrols to each Clan to observe their ways of life. Augustus and a fellow tom visited ShadowClan. He remembered seeing the black she-cat before him at the Clan camp. ``Oh, wait a second! I do remember you! ShadowClan, hm? I don't think I caught your name, though. Which reminds me - I'm Augustus, and you're within the Dusk Syndicate territory.``

[It's fine!]
Jinx had hardly noticed his pawsteps since she was so focused on finding her way around. If you hadn't started thinking again, this wouldn't have happened, he scolded herself mentally before she did pick up the pawfalls of another feline. Quickly Jinx spun around to face the black feline. He was different. Tall, but thin. An old look, but still a feline wouldn't try to attack, especially if he were from the Dusk Syndicate. More than likely this tom-cat was, normal cats were dumb enough to cross the border markers.
At Augustus's words, she merely gave a faint hiss. "I know I'm on Dusk Syndicate territory. I live here now," he replied bleakly before deciding it was probably better to act polite from here. Well as polite as she could muster, there were a lot of things currently that pushed her buttons and lately every cat seemed to want to do that. "And I'm Jinx, and as you already stated, former Shadowclan warrior," he replied. Was it even worth mentioning who she had connections to? No. Not right now. The sturdy feline's gaze didn't waver from Augustus. She knew his name now, but not who he is or his background. Therefore, to Jinx, he was a cat to not be trusted.
