Dreampaw spun in a happy circle, making the swirly lights swirl even more. He was going to be a Hornet! He stopped spinning and planted his rear end firmly in the dirt. Gotta focus, he thought, but the world was still spinning. He twisted his neck to try and keep it still but ended up falling over. Oh well, it is comfy enough down here. Now focus! War with ShadowClan, something something, Sunkissed Creek, yada yada, kill anyone close. "That sounds like something ShadowClan would do!" He giggled from the ground, still giddy. After that, he gave up listening and just stared at the sky, the way the wind tugged at clouds, tearing them up and joining them together to make new and interesting patterns. They moved so slowly, but also so quickly. If they could think, what would they think of? Would they look down on the clans and laugh at their silly little wars, or were they having their own battles so high up? He would have to ask his friend next time he went into his own world. It would know, and maybe it would show him too. Dreampaw's eyes started to become drowsy. Baybe that would be soon...

The meeting was going well until the war part. CedarSparrows anxiety kicked in and she felt like screaming. No no no no! She wouldn't fight shadowclan! Never again! She felt like she couldn't breathe.
The bengal marked apprentice's ears twitched at the familiar voice of Cedarsparrow. Her gaze shifted through a couple of cats to spot her mother looking horrified. Her gaze lightened a little and Treepaw pushed her way through the crowd to settled herself next to the she-cat. "It'll be okay mama," the bengal spoke with a small smile, trying to comfort her.
The large tom just continued to listen, although his lip curled a little in disgust at the thought of the unnecessary fighting. His gaze would search for his daughter, but with no luck finding her, he'd simply turn his attention back to Bumblestar. There's nothing he could do to keep Echopaw away from the chaos, but he'd make sure to protect her the best he could.
Disinterested in what Angry was saying - denying the would be bugs from being bugs - Fudge lay his head on his paws, narrowed eyes on the diminutive feline atop the rock in a fairly blank stare until... it wasn't. Ears perking up, the chocolate point raised his head with interest. Wait. Apprentices couldn't leave camp? Then why in the hell had his name changed? Again! Surely if no one could leave until they had gained a special, unique name then there was no point in distinguishing between a kit and a paw?
Whatever. He wasn't about to try to understand the weird customs and rituals these cats had any time soon. Besides, he didn't have time to process that as much as he would have normally wanted, anyways. The next words out of irrationality and ire incarnate brought terror to his very heart. War? They were at war? With other cats? And they were supposed to kill them on sight?! Had Angry lost all common sense?! How were they supposed to convince the other cats to stop the war if they kept killing all of their- Oh...
Eyes widening imperceptibly, Fudge realized that these cats had no intention to stop this war. Yep. He would never understand these cats. Not only were they already at war and angry with them, Angry wanted to make them even more enraged? Oh and what was that? They were also poking a second clan as well? To make them angry too? Never mind Angry. This cat had gone straight down to Captain Ragey. Just what mess had he gotten himself into joining these clan cats?!

Lightningstorm is WindClan's current medicine cat.
She has a semi-closed den policy.
Ghostpaw could barely supress her suprise at being called out. At her first Clan meeting as an official ThunderClan member - an apprentice, no less! The 'paw felt the gaze of a billion trillion cats burning through her pelt, her body, feeling like she would spontaneously combust any moment with all the built up heat. So Bumblestar did think she could be a Hornet? Good, 'cos she had plenty experience protecting others, from her time with Whisper, his little clan of oddbod prey animals, and a fox pup, plus the random straggler rogues who her compassionate little brother befriended.
Maybe, just maybe... She could be a Hornet, and finally be accepted into the Clan Whisper constantly raved on about joining.
And then she was suddenly jolted out of rumination by a war announcement. On ShadowClan. Ghostpaw didn't really know how to react. She was a good fighter, and was ready to wage war on her littermate's possible murderers, but, Clan cats here and there were throwing around at each other uneasy or apprehensive glances. Some looked like they were about to go into mental breakdown.
Looking down at her kneading claws, her lynx-tipped ears pointed down, Ghostpaw wondered if she would ever fit in. Here, she was full of bloodlust, while all the Clanborn kitties were on the verge of restless nights.
Whisper would have understood. But it wasn't like he was here, or was about to be brushing lynx-points with her.

Just as he thought, Bumblestar wouldn't be choosing the new Hornets anytime soon. Good on her, though it was only common sense to wait and mull over the possible choices before giving out such an important role. The grump snorted and rolled his eyes as Bumblestar answered Wildtwist. He never believed in the saying that there were no dumb questions because too many cats have proven it wrong time and time again. And Bumblestar reaffirmed it by answering the same way he would have, except he might have used more sarcasm in his answer.
He still felt the need to keep Ghostpaw far away from those sinkholes though, not trusting the backward-pawed apprentice not to fall into one of them. Sharpclaw turned his attention to said apprentice, interested to see how she would respond to Bumblestar. He personally didn't believe she could become a Hornet.... at least not without tons of hard work and dedication. He already planned to train her strictly but he'd have to make it more challenging if she was serious about this Hornet thing.
Bumblestar continued, and her violent request caught his attention real quick. His eyes widened, and he whipped his head back at the leader in shock. Kill any and every Shadowclanner on sight? He usually agreed with Bumblestar's choices but this was pushing it. Sharpclaw wanted more than anyone to sink his claws into those good-for-nothing snakes, but to kill them on sight? He felt that went against the warrior code... then again, he shifted his gaze to his paws, deep in thought, wasn't it against the code to go against his leader? Besides, when had ShadowClan ever stayed true to the code? Hell, if the code were a living thing they'd have killed it like they did their medicine cat. ...But... it still didn't sit right with him. Shadowcats were still cats, and most cats- emphasis on most- deserved to be treated with at least a minimal amount of respect. Sharpclaw couldn't call himself any better than ShadowClan if he stooped to their level.
He would have to find another way to aid his clan in preparation for the war. He resolved to have a talk with Gentledoe about becoming a night guard. He slept all day anyways so he might as well make up for it by staying up all night doing something useful. Anything but killing a cat without reason. Murder was only a last-case scenario in his mind.
Back to Bumblestar. It seemed he wasn't alone in thinking Ivysnake's death was too coincidental. He still believed some Shadowcat killed her themselves and shirked the blame, but it also made sense to think that those fox-hearted rats just left her for dead somewhere. He grimaced at the thought, lips curling back.
Once she'd finished her announcement, Sharpclaw looked up at her with a silent and stony expression. He wouldn't speak out against her decisions. If she wanted to fight fire with fire then so be it. Some might view her methods as brutish and irrational, but Sharpclaw saw them as necessary. He didn't know Dawnstar personally, but it seemed if they didn't push back now and with equal force then it'd only be a matter of time before ThunderClan fell victim to her claws. Was she really this desperate for a measly scrap of territory? If she weren't such a tyrant he might have felt pity for ShadowClan.

Taking in the information with narrowed eyes, he felt his muscles tingle. So it was official.... Thunderclan was at war with Shadowclan...And not only that, but they they were allowed to cross Shadowclans borders to KILL someone! Bumblestar was slowly checking each and every box in becoming a tryant.... AND HE WAS LOVING IT! He couldn't believe this was actually happening! Was this some sorta AMAZING dream!? If it was, he hoped he never woke up! Eyes widening, the tom almost gasped at the new opportunities that unfolded before him. THIS WAS GREAT! NOW HE HAD AN EXCUSE TO COMMIT MURDER!
Maintaining a blank expression, Cracklepaw shifted besides Mapleface. He silently wondered what she thought of the situation. Mapleface didn't seem like the type of cat to commence on unnecessary violence. But she would have to understand this time! Right? Maples surely knew this was how they should deal with Shadowclan? Those mange pelts deserved death! They wouldn't hesitate to storm into camp and kill everyone here! They wouldn't hesitate to kill him.. Or.. Or Mapleface! Just picturing her broken, lifeless body being tossed aside as the Shadow Lurkers moved to slaughter her kits made his heart clench in misery. No! He wouldn't allow that to happen! Mapleface wouldn't die by the claws of a Shadowclanner! Nuh uh! NEVER! He'd sooner slaughter every cat that lived in the hell hole then let her fall to such a cruel fate.
Clenching his jaw, he recalled the last statement. Something about new positions opening up. This caught his attention, if anyone deserved a spot in the Hornets ranking... It would be him. So when a bunch of undeserving IDIOTS step forward asking for the rank, he scowled darkly. What made them think that they would actually get such a position! As far as he was concerned they've done nothing to prove their worth! And honestly... Who would grovel at Bumblestars paws? The only way he would show his interest in the rank would be by his actions. Begging was below him.
And with that much being said, Cracklepaw retained his slouched posture and avoided eye contact with Rosekit.

"Regarding RiverClan." Anger slipped into her words again. "A little bit ago, I found scent all over our side of the border. Prey scraps, pawprints, their stench pushed way past our scent markers. Clearly those snakes think we aren't capable or willing of pushing back. I wanna prove 'em wrong. Tonight."
With a shake of her coat and a snarl tugging at her lips, Bumblestar leapt down the Stormcrest to land in front of her gathered Clanmates.
"ShadowClan 'n RiverClan both think we're jokes. 'N while I want ShadowClan to think we're laying low for the most part other than what we're doing at the border, I'm sick 'n tired of RiverClan thinking they can keep getting away with this crap. They raid our camp, they steal our territory, kidnap our Clanmates-" she hadn't forgotten about that incident and never, never would "-and think they're entitled to do whatever the hell they want with us. Screw that. We're proving them wrong tonight.
"Wolfmist's patrol was a failure. We still need territory. And the fish clearly believe we aren't going to strike back. So until we're prepared enough to do some real damage to ShadowClan's forces, we're going after a chunk of RiverClan's land. I don't know Beanstar's deal, but I wanna find out, 'n I'm expecting some pushback once they figure out what we've done." She lashed her tail. "So apprentices under six moons, 'n those of you who haven't yet had any battle training, I want you to stay here. Everyone else, if you really want to prove that ThunderClan's no longer a Clan to be walked all over... follow me now. We're headin' out."
Bumblestar cast one last piercing look over her Clan, and then with the sun sinking ever lower in the sky, headed for the camp's entrance.
