No.
No, no, no! Now they were at war with two clans?! All at once, the young warrior finds it hard to breathe. Chest tight, wide eyes frantically stare over at Sparrowfur from his spot hidden inside the warriors' den. Now it was going to be a battle between his loyalty and his morals. What would he stand for? He hadn't had enough time to think this through. Not enough time to decide if he was willing to follow or not. And now he had to choose. Choose or be branded a coward. Or lose his ideals-- things he's held onto so close. Swallowing, he gets to his trembling paws and makes his way over to Sparrowfur, pressing against her side in some attempt to bring comfort to himself. Though at her side, his gaze isn't on her. It was on Bumblestar.
Beyond the initial shock and uncertainty lay something else in his stare. Was it perhaps a small flicker of anger? A flicker of buried emotion that threatened to batter free from it's restraint? Whatever it was, it's directed at their leader as she makes her final remark and begins the journey towards their battlefield.
"What are you going to do?" He asks the molly at his side, visage hardening after the figure of the she-cat leading those willing to follow without question. Anxiously his claws dig into the dirt, shoulders tense. "Because I don't know what I'm going to do.

Sparrowfur felt her jaw go slack. On top of Shadowclan? Now Riverclan alongside them? They were still recovering from the flood! Her ears flicked back as she shut her mouth and looked over worriedly to Yarrowcrest.
"I..I will fight." she says, her voice wavering. "What else can I do?" it comes out sharper than intended.
She looks around quickly and sighs, clearly upset she lowers her voice and glares at the dirt in front of her.
"All my life, I had to be strong. I trained until I could hardly keep myself upright. What was all of it for, if not this? I just-" her voice breaks. She takes a moment to collect herself. "I don't like it any more than you do. But if we don't fight this, there's no guarantee that either of those clans will let us live in return. Morally? This is a terrible idea. And I really do hate to say it-" she hesitates "But it's the best one we have right now."
"No one listens to words, dear. We use claw and teeth and bloodshed. Its not right, I know, and its not fair, but its how we get listened to. I will fight for my clan, but I will be seething for every moment of it."

She was right.
She was right and he hated it. Hated every single word that came out of her mouth. It meant that everything he stood for was for nothing. He, too, trained for this. All his life this was what he has known. What he was raised to do. And now he was tripping at the finish line. War was here and he had been trained so rigorously for it and yet he was hesitating. Why couldn't he be like everyone else and enjoy it? Enjoy the thrill of battle and longing for a chance to protect the good name of Thunderclan. Even if he doesn't think it very good. His gaze settles on her for a while. A long span of silence settles as a pit in his stomach. Just looking at her he knew she hated it too.
But she was right.
Yarrowcrest looks off towards the moving group of warriors. His clan mates. His family. A frown paints itself onto his features as he follows the pelts of every each one. A march to their possible deaths. A march to the deaths of Riverclan cats. He understood the need for territory and resources. Every clan would need them come Leafbare. Was it worth it to steal it from a clan that was already suffering so much?
Sighing, he headbutts his mate with as much reassurance as he can manage. It isn't much but he feels as though it was time to forcefully tuck his thoughts and feelings away. If he shut them out then maybe he wouldn't feel so guilty for what he was about to do.
"I know. I know, I know..." What else was he to say? There was nothing more to say. Sparrowfur had said it all. For once he was at a loss. Stare blank and body visibly tired, as if he's truly given in, he presses his cheek to hers one last time before beginning to follow the others. "Let's get going, then. Please stay near."

Sparrowfur truly had no idea how to act. There was hardly any time to react-- the thought of war seemed to simply just linger, but now, it was fully fledged and staring Sparrowfur dead into the ground. She had to fight. What good was she if she didn't? How could she call herself a warrior if she resented the idea of war?
Giving Yarrowcrest an affectionate lick on the cheek, she too stood to follow her clanmates. As per her mates request, she stuck closely by. Whether from fear or out of protection varied on the second. There was so much that could go wrong, so much that could damage her life shes created.
With her head held high she walks out and into the unknown.

SourPaw
[She/Her|Trans|Lesbian|Thunderclan]
"Sparrowfur, Sparrowfur, Sparrowfur!!" SourPaw called as she ran to SparrowFur.
"I can't because we haven't done any battle training but please be careful! Keep YarrowCrest safe if he's going too! And if you see my brother, GingerPaw, please do try to go easy on him if he doesn't put up much of a fight, that is!" SourPaw "Oh and here!"
She put a small dandelion behind her ear.
"My grandma said that the dandelion is my family's sacred flower and it would keep me safe if I was wearing one during a hard time so..." She smiled at her mentor. "Oh! Here's one for YarrowCrest if he wants one!"
The apprentice blinked a couple times at Cedarsparrow. She was using her kit name, why? "It's Treepaw now, mama. . ." The bengal marked spoke, her gaze turning back to Bumblestar talking about the RiverClan side. Her gaze saddened. "Why must we fight with everyone?" she murmured mostly to herself. Thankfully, she could hide back in camp, she had no battle training yet.

CedarSparrow
Cedar's tail instantly dropped.
"I MISSED YOUR CEREMONY!?" Cedar roared with shock.
"Oh..." Cedar felt bad for her kit "I don't know, baby..."
She gave TreePaw a, hopefully, comforting lick on the head.

The seething anger that easily slipped through the headstrong leader’s tone was more than enough to simply make Springpaw’s hackles raise out of uncertainty and fear-filled adrenaline when she focused her lapis hues back up towards the direction of the angered molly, silently eying Bumblestar’s posture as she watched her lips tugging back into a threatening snarl and revealing a set of sharp canids that were strong enough to break through any set of soft flesh with ease. At least Springpaw was able to get her information about herb patrols being more frequent and about her event to slip before Bumblestar decided to continue the meeting. She was half expecting the tabby to continue on the drastic matters about the upcoming war between ShadowClan and ThunderClan, only to be suddenly tossed into a rather deep rabbit hole from the change of topics of RiverClan. RiverClan has been doing what? A wave of bewilderment and anger coursed through Springpaw’s body, the calico’s claws incessantly slipping and digging restlessly through the coarse dirt beneath her paws—both out of her implementing anxiety and frustration from RiverClan’s irreversible decisions. Why would those fish-eaters try to take some of ThunderClan’s territory when they clearly had plenty of their own? She didn’t have much of a negative thought about them all—except for maybe the fact that they were being led by a sly tom-cat who seemed to think that he was better than all of the clan’s combined. Now, with this important piece of information about RiverClan snagging into her mind; she could easily feel her blood beginning to boil.
Why in the actual hell would RiverClan try to pull a ridiculous stunt like crossing the border and leaving random prey scraps among ThunderClan’s side of the border? Were they trying to ask for an engagement in battle from making a reckless decision such as this? The tri-colored calico’s hackles raised out of dignity as her own lips pursued themselves into a cold, hard frown against the sudden news. RiverClan was seemingly trying to make it well-known that they were trying to cause some serious issues around the borders, and that was something that needed to be looked at as soon as possible. The next set of words that escaped her leader’s mouth was more than enough to cause a sense of on-going dread to overcome through the calico as her ears pinned back against her head. ‘I wanna prove ‘‘em wrong. Tonight.’ This was definitely implicating the fact that Bumblestar was wanting to lead her clan into another battle that they weren’t yet to be prepared for and Springpaw could already begin to feel herself eating at her own words that she had expelled earlier from Bumblestar’s announcement. Yes. She was still going to have a large, clan-wide event of cats coming along with her to gather important herbs and other valuable items for the herb storage, but didn’t she just state that they weren’t in any shape or form for any potential skirmishes like this to happen among them and drain main herbal necessities in the herb storage? Words were almost quick to climb up her throat as she felt like she wanted to say something, but she forced herself to keep quiet to keep herself from saying anything that she might potentially regret.
If RiverClan was trying to show ThunderClan that they were trying to cause trouble and steal their prey, then they needed to face the consequences and pay the price for what they’ve done. They weren't going to push ThunderClan around anymore like they were just small, fragile baby mice that didn’t know a lick of anything about how to survive in the dangerous depths of the wilderness beyond them. Springpaw felt her creasing anxieties swarm away from her system and slowly replaced it with a blaze of unbridled rage and fury for both clans that were trying to take over ThunderClan and act like it was theirs. Sure, she was the current medicine cat apprentice of her clan, but it still didn’t feel right that other cats were simply trying to take over anything that belonged in her clan as theirs. It was utterly ridiculous and completely wrong to do; especially with how everything currently was with ShadowClan at the given moment. The calico watched as Bumblestar easily leaped off the Stormcrest without any issues, her expression essentially lacing with fury and unbridled rage from RiverClan’s irrational actions around the border. Unfortunately, it wasn’t like she could exactly participate in the battle by fighting alongside her clan due to the lack of battle training that she had, but she could bring a bundle of herbs that she had learned from both Coldamber and Bumblestar—which she silently thanked both mollies for that—so she could easily help aid for any cats that get potentially swarmed by a RiverClan patrol. It would at least do them some good.
Oriental-shaped ears angled towards the angered molly when she began to speak again, Springpaw’s body further heating up from the induced anger that she could easily feel seething through her system like a rapid wildfire. Alongside a tinge of fright and shock that blazed itself through her system and caused a rummage of butterflies to expand throughout her stomach like the bubonic plague. RiverClan actually kidnapped her clan-mates? Why would they do that? Are they insane? A flurry of questions rushed throughout the calico herself, almost slipping from her tongue as she felt her legs growing numb beneath her shoulders from how deep her claws were sunk into the soil. They felt like they were aching worse than the scorching heat of the sun itself, but she chose to ignore it in the best way possible. Her past personal opinions on the river-loving clan were quick to diverse as she tried to comprehend the vile and truthful words that Bumblestar expelled from her maw, feeling her brain slowly overworking itself from the induced amount of overthinking that she had been experimenting. Why was both RiverClan and ShadowClan simply proving to be a clan that was filled with nothing but fox-hearts that want nothing but pure wealth and power? The only that ThunderClan had the least amount of tense rivalry with was WindClan, and that was absolutely worrisome. Plus, the calico herself wasn’t sure if she and Drizzlecloud should go over there anytime soon due to what had happened in the gathering before that, but she’ll keep it in the midst of her thoughts whenever they do decide to head over towards the border to get taken to WindClan camp for some potential training.
Her leader’s next set of words brought in a pang of disappointment to the young feline, making her lips curl downwards into a curt frown. It was rather disappointing to see that Wolfmist’s patrol failed to find any places to claim as potential territory for ThunderClan to expand since the sinkholes took away a good portion of the old territory. Springpaw wasn’t certain to think about the idea of trying to steal a chunk of RiverClan’s land, which was a literal call-out for causing another war with another clan, but she could also see the reasoning with why Bumblestar would want to go try to take a chunk of territory from them due to the lack of territory that ThunderClan proclaimed. Nonetheless, even with the risking factors for war, it was eye-for-an-eye. RiverClan would be paying the price for trying to surpass the border between both of their clans and trudging their own stench all over their side of the border and leaving an ungodly mess. It wasn’t like they weren’t expecting it, after all. The calico silently watched as Bumblestar ordered for any cats with battle training to come with her to claim some of RiverClan territory; her eyes following after the tabby after she stalked over towards the dimming entrance. The sun had already almost sunk completely over the horizon, the sky a hazy pinkish-golden and a suppressed shiver from the chilled breeze rushed through the calico’s long fur. Definitely not a good sign to be going out while it was darkening out, but it wasn’t like they had a choice. Bumblestar was ordering cats to either come with her or not, and that was something that Springpaw couldn’t control.
Lapis hues danced across the clearing as they landed in the familiar pelt of her mentor, quick to catch the rays of discomfort and unease written along Drizzlecloud’s face. It seemed that she was feeling the same way about this unforgivable news and Springpaw couldn’t necessarily blame her. The clan was already in enough of a dire condition as it is; they didn’t need any more battles being added onto their ‘to-do’ list. The vast thought of the pelts of her clan-mates stricken with crimson made Springpaw’s fur raise and almost made the tip of her instinctively twitch against her creeping anxiety. What if they deal with another situation that was almost like how Gentledoe lost her eye and got half of her face torn off. The whole ordeal with that was undeniably awful. It would just be total barren if they both had to deal with something like that too. Noticing the way that the ticked tabby’s tail lashed and the way she abruptly stood up, Springpaw felt her sore muscles scream at her more to let loose of her claws from her tightening grip against the ground, begrudgingly trying to ignore the passive feeling as she kept an eye on what her mentor was trying to do. Was she just as irritated by the whole ordeal as she was? Most likely, judging from her mentor storming off to the den to grab a few things before making her leave. Knowing likely, the medicine apprentice followed soon after, head low as she intended to grab a few things before making her leave as well. This was going to be a long, long night.

Whoah ok things had escalated quickly! They were starting another war?! Why????? Like ok the Riverclan leadership being 'slippery' thing could be easily understood, caution was understandable especially after the bad blood but full blown aggression seemed a step too far! The war was a long time ago, several thunderclan and riverclan leaders at least and while the prey stealing and territory pushing was bad.... Wasnt it the crow calling the raven black until things were investigated to be sure this was intentional and not a case of bad decisions. Cats were often hot blooded and causing problems behind their leaders back without their knowledge, thunderclan had done so too. Theyd not long ago caused issues with windclan that Bumblestar didnt approve of, how did they know this wasnt any different.
To essentially declare war with riverclan over this by stealing territory and reigniting a long cooled anger.... When things were already bad with shadowclan and getting worse.
Mudhound would support Bumblestar as kin but..... This aint it chief. This aint it. They'd be sitting out on this raid and would stay behind to watch the camp.
And the shaken cats that would remain behind.....
"Hey why dont those of us who are hanging back do something nice for the clan!" The warrior tried to keep their tone light "The camp could use a good tidy and a moss change. And if we wrap up fast then we can share tongues for a bit, Im sure that'll lift some spirits right?" Hopefully it did, things were far too dower right now otherwise..... "What about you Lotus-honey, you interested?" The tripod asked looking down at their apprentice.
@jupiter#Air [Open to anyone whos staying behind and not going on the riverclan territory stealing trip! If I get some replys Ill move this to the clearing.]

Once the sun was far enough down that her mentor wouldn't be forced into blindness again, Lotus hopped down to look up at the leader again, bright blue eyes widening as the leader spoke about RiverClan. "Won't that make the Rivercats AND the Shadowcats mad at us? What if they try to hurt us?" A rather prominent concern, but she was confident in her no battle training and the fact that Muddy Buddy would protect her. But still, the five and a half moon old pouted lightly, looking up at her mentor with big pleading eyes, wanting to go a fight for her clan and be a hero, but instead she was pleased to be met with a safer option to help the Clan. "Yeah, Muddy-Buddy!" She chirped, disappointment in missing the excitement gone as she hopped up and down, excited to be here and have fun instead of go fight.
// @Rani - pspsps I promise to get the territory reply out soon, I'll be doing replies this weekend for sure
Quirking a brow at Angry's words, Fudge twitched his tail, his gaze deadpanned as he saw a few cats motion towards the tiny leader. Her instructions suited him just fine. The Birman mix had no intention of going off into battle for any of these cats. Much less to some cats who were simply doing the same thing ThunderClan had just been ordered to do to some other star worshipping band of cats. He wasn't about to waste his life away in some hypocrisy goals. That's not what he had survived all this time for.
Getting up, the chocolate point stretched, eager to get out of the clearing. He had no idea how any of this would turn out, but it was late, and he was tired. Assuming the battle somehow reached them, he wanted to be well rested. Couldn't run away and leave these miserable cats to their own devices if he was sleep deprived. With a yawn, the four moon old padded away to the safety of his nest, eager to cuddle up with the two lonesome moss figures he kept as the closest thing to family amongst these odd felines.
