Tigerblush took one last glance around for Morningpaw, but ultimately saw nothing and turned to Dreampaw, who she had found. "Guess it's just me and you, kid." She gave a cheery smile, unbothered by the way things had turned out. "No worries, we've got this! C'mon, let's head out before all the prey returns to their burrows--or nests." Tigerblush was fairly confident in her hunting ability--could knick a bird right out of the sky if she tried--so she wasn't too dismayed with one less patrolmate.

Good thing Alderstep kept that in his mind. Imagine the chaos he'd incite if he started to allow breakages of the warrior code, as much as he liked to occasionally bend the rules. He was getting better at not doing that, though. Just him and his treacherous thoughts-

"Alright, good," Alderstep said with a dismissive nod, bringing a paw up to his mouth to chew on a claw absentmindedly. He hadn't been expecting any conflict at the WindClan border, and he'd been right. Stars, the mundane felt good for once.

"Mmm, where's Yarrowcrest? Ah, he's coming. We got a rabbit! Surprisingly, it was in our territory. Usually they'll be vibing in WindClan territory." Feather nose continues, twisting around to greet Yarrowcrest, who had obviously lost the race. Fine, it was invalid. He had been carrying the rabbit. They could rematch next time, maybe later! She turned back to Alderstep. Yep, he was pleased with the rabbit. Feather allowed a little hop to herself, just a itty bitty congratulary one.

Damn these mollies and their races! Again not really in the mood for a race-- on top of the rabbit dangling in his maw-- he trots quickly back to camp in pursuit of Feathernose. Upon arriving, the fresh kill is deposited gingerly onto the pile and with a quick glance he spots the two cats in question. It doesn't take him long to make his way over, tail raised in greeting.

"Hello." He mews, glancing between the two. "I'm sure Feathernose has reported all our findings. Nothing but the faint scent of dog and the usual Windclan scent makers. The rabbit was her idea."

It only felt right to give her the credit. She did most the work, after all.

Dog? Oh, right. He remembered something about Sorreldust and a dog attack some days ago or so. Crap, he should've let them know about that. Oh well, no harm done. "Yep," Alderstep confirmed, lowering his paw back down to the ground. "You both may go," he hummed, eyes flicking back to the territory waiting for the other patrols to show.

"Thanks, Alderstep. See you around! Hey Yarrowcrest, race you to the freshkill pile!" Feathernose grins cheekily, speeding off as soon as Yarrowcrest takes a pawstep towards her @navarra @silverwynds

This. Thing. Was. Hea-vy! Seriously. How he had been expected to bring a whole squirrel all by his lonesome - he probably hadn't, but those were details that were not going to weight him down, the squirrel was doing that plenty - was beyond him. And then Peppy the Hare Slayer had a really heavy hare to deal with that seemed very much like a her problem, but did make her just a bit slower than him in getting back to camp. Whatever! Loudy McYowly would know that they were done once he showed up with the stupid thing.

The russet pelt was quick to spot. Seriously, that tom was loud all over. Even his fur was loud. Did Fudge know that made no sense? Absolutely. He just couldn't be bothered to care. Resolutely, the small apprentice padded towards the grumpy looking tom - honestly, that he could understand, what with being forced to talk to everyone all the time, ew - and dropped his squirrel, turning deadpanned green eyes on similarly shaded hues.

"Returned," he stated simply, one dark paw on the squirrel as he waited for Peppy to catch up.

Nightgaze slowly dragged the large hare to camp she had dropped it a few times due to it being so heavy and her being so small.

Panting loudly the small black she-cat dropped her prey in front of Alderstep and sat down and grinned brightly "Hey Alderstep! Sorry it took me so long this thing sure is heavy!"
she chirped cheerfully.

The warrior honestly thought it wasn't the best idea to send too small cats out hunting in a prey rich place in a season that was quite resourceful but then again one of the patrol members didn't show up so she and formal serious little guy had to make do.

Dreampaw padded over to his patrol leader and stood by her side. So that is one, and two... Where was three? There had been three cats on the patrol, no? Tigerblush, she was here, Dreampaw, that was him, he was here, and Morningpaw. Morningpaw was not here. That was a shame. Dreampaw considered the other apprentice’s name. In some way, their names fitted together. Like, you dream when you sleep, and you wake up in the morning. The light-brown apprentice just stood there, thinking about it and doubtless about other things too, getting washed away in his mind. Finally, Tigerblush spoke and pulled him out of his spiral. Yeah, it probably was better that they head on now. Dreampaw nodded and followed behind her.
