The Procession Of Paws [Gingerstar's burial]
Event [#event] As the Thunderclan patrol made clear of their departure, and Larkwing addressed the clan on Gingerstar's burial - Cherryswirl frowned, her eyes scanning the young cats expression as she almost seemed to falter in her words. She looked stressed... Cherry would have been too after the verbal assault some clan members had unleashed upon the new leader. And with Nightspark being sent away to escort the Thunderclan stinkers - where had the other Lionhearts fallen into place? Watching as cats perked up left and right, offering their support, the older warrior smiled softly. The image of clanmates calling out to Larkwing as she moved away to deal with, assumedly, the matter of prey poisoning was slightly amusing. Having so many voices call out to you can be intimidating. Lets... let's fix that. Get everyone on track...
"Riverclan!" She called loudly as she paced towards the Floodstone, giving a soft smile up to Falconfeather, "Larkwing has entrusted us with Gingerstar's burial, so let's make sure we lay him to peace, as he deserves." The ginger tabby didn't approach yet, instead gazing out into the crowd,
"Pricklestep... Creekpelt... Grubface... If you three can help lift Gingerstars body, that would be very helpful. Move as one unit, you will be leading us just a bit out of camp." A strong group of warriors who had offered their support! "Shatterpaw, you're more than welcome to help. Why don't you run ahead and find a nice place for Gingerstar to rest. Once you find the spot, start digging a grave, ok?" Then her gaze turned to the familiar face of Bluefang. She gave the warrior a soft smile, but shook her head - "You're still recovering, so why don't you help Shatterpaw dig the grave? Don't overwork yourself... theres no sense in re-opening your wounds. You two go on ahead and get started, we'll meet you there." Finally, she turned to address Falconfeather. And come to think of it... was Mumblepaw still present? Did they want to help as well?
"Falconfeather... Is Mumble still here? Can you and Tansypaw lead the group along with Ginger's family if not?" She called out loudly now to the rest of the clan, "And any family of Gingerstar, please come up here! RiverClan start gathering, we'll leave once everyone is ready!"

The orange cat looked back up at his mentor a soft wry smile on his face. He hated death. Absolutely hated it yet he knew it welcomed others with soft opened paws. Getting to his feet the large cat padded over to his mentor resting his head against his shoulder to show sympathy and compassion. Is there anything I can do to help? I didn’t know him personally but he did his best to treat everyone kindly and respected us for when we were.

Lotusheart had been heartbroken. She was still processing, switching between anger and grief, and StarClan knows what else. Her best and only friend, whom she'd known since they were kits in the nursery, was dead. She remembered their first meeting, she remembered their conversations, she remembered losing him the first time, she remembered finding him again and again. But no more. He was gone.
With an aching heart, Lotusheart was reduced to the shy pushover she was thirty-something moons ago. The energy was sapped out of her. She walked up to Cherryswirl, unable to look her in the face.
"I, um, we... I'm not Gingerstar's family by blood but...we kind of were like family. But if you don't want me there that's okay too..."
