Ahhhh. Wingstar. It had such a nice ring to it. Wingkit beamed at the older cat as she called him by the name all four Clans in the forest would soon know him as. It made him excited to think about one day getting to call Clan meetings together, having control and power over all of RiverClan, extending their influence until all of the Clans bowed at their paws...
"Of course it's a good choice!" he huffed with a smug grin. Knowing the warrior code was what made a good leader. Following it... well that was a different matter. Rules were always so restrictive, and the young tom didn't want to stick to them too closely. They mad everything less fun. As he got up to follow the older cat, he recalled her name from the previous meeting. This was Birdsnow right? Who better to learn the warrior code form then the deputy herself!
Making his way behind her, the young caliby plopped his rump down again and nodded eagerly. "Yes! Wingstar is ready - you may continue." At that he made a sweeping gesture with his paw to indicate that Birdsnow was "allowed" to continue teaching him.

Roseheart looked up, still feeling ashamed of herself but a little calmer. "I'm sorry..." she muttered again. It had been so long that she hardly recognized her own clanmates anymore. The scents were familiar, sure, but she couldn't match any names to them. She took a deep breath, her ears flattened against her head. "It's been... what, 35 moons, maybe more...?" she wondered aloud, raising a paw to her face. Stars. This was... Did she even deserve to be let back in?

"Don't be sorry." She murmured, staring at the poor, distressed molly. Attempting to lay a comforting tail on the cat's back, she paused before speaking again. 35 moons was a long time to be gone, and she was pretty sure that this cat could just... come back. But she wasn't sure was the procedure was for situations like this; most cats who were gone just... stayed gone.
(since the allegiances were reset, feel free to just go ahead and submit her and I'll get her added! you don't have to do a rejoining rp since the allegiances were reset a little while back so we can either end this here or if you want, you can have rose go talk to larkstar, whichever one is a-ok w/ me!! <3)

One glance at the clearing made it clear to Birdsnow that there was a problem. A really big one.
They had no prey. That wouldn't do. Not with leaf-bare on the way. The blue mitted ragdoll rose to her paws in a split second, making another quick glance around to ensure that their wasn't any prey (oh stars, there wasn't anything) before padding to the center of the clearing and raising her tail to try to gain attention to herself.
"Warriors and apprentices with hunting experience, I'm taking a few cats out for an emergency hunting patrol to stock the prey pile. If you're able, please meet me in the center of the clearing immediately!" She called out, hoping cats would heed her call.
Now that she was deputy, this wouldn't do. Larkstar had been stressed and struggling with the weight of everything, and Birdsnow fully intended to ease the weight on her friend's shoulders. (and fill everyone's bellies, also)
[ open for 2-4 cats to join bird on an emergency hunting patrol! ]
Creekpelt walked over. He wasn't used to thinking of Birdsnow as a deputy. Oh well. "I can help," he said gruffly.

To her delight, three cats approached her relatively quick. Two warriors and an apprentice, and they made a patrol of four all in all. Marvelous. She briefly wondered if Treepaw had been taught to hunt, and secretly hoped she had. Birdsnow had specifically requested that any tagalong apprentices know how to hunt, but she supposed that a crash course on a hunting patrol wouldn't kill anyone. "Thanks for volunteering! Let's go ahead and head out- I want to be back by around sunhigh with at least 8 pieces of prey." 8 was a lot, but for four cats, that was only about 2 each. While anything would work, she very much wanted to set the Clan up for success.
Flicking her tail for her patrol to follow, she began to pad out of camp into the territory, already tasting the air for any prey.

Sootstar? That was... the leader before Kestrelstar, she was fairly sure. The RiverClan heiress blinked in surprise- this cat had been gone for years, but she didn't show any other sign of her shock. Electing not to break it to Roseheart that they had gone through many leaders since Sootstar, she took a moment to gather her thoughts before speaking. "Sootstar is unfortunately no longer leader, and now our leader's name is Larkstar, and my name is Birdsnow, I'm the deputy." Stars that was so weird to say. "I can certainly take you to see Larkstar." She assured her, and decided to lead the newly returned warrior to Larkstar's den, and would stop at the entrance to drop her off in hopes to not invade Rose's private chat with the leader, but if Roseheart requested, she would enter the den alongside her, and gladly stay there for moral support if need be.
(sure! just post here, and either tell Lark that Bird sent Rose to the den or Bird can come with her (I do already have two other leaders den rps so thats not preferable but if needed she can totally tag along ))

The kit seemed satisfied with her nickname so Birdsnow settled into a half-loaf position, crouching down so she could be closer to the little caliby's level. "Glad to hear it!" She chirped as 'Wingstar' gave her permission to continue, mulling over a way to present the first law of warriorhood without outright explaining to a little child that he would be expected to die if the need arose to defend his Clan. That information could come later on. "Rule number one, defend and be loyal to your Clan above all else. Do anything in your power to make sure that RiverClan is safe and protected, and while you may have friends outside of RiverClan that you can talk to at Gatherings and such, RiverClan needs to be more important to those friends."
She tried to keep it to simple terms, and maybe she should try to make it easier to understand, but if he understood the gist then that was all that mattered for right now.
"Rule two is pretty similar, and this one is to stand by your Clan always. This also means moving Clans is frowned upon- not forbidden, but not encouraged unless you are unsafe or the Clan is corrupt. Letting something outside of RiverClan distract you or pull you away from serving it as best you can is also frowned upon." She didn't want to outright say it was forbidden, but she also didn't want Wingkit to think it was appropriate to place non-RiverClanners above the Clan- although it was common sense and she would assume he knew that. But better safe than sorry.
"Number three, the borders should be marked and patrolled often, and the boundaries should only be moved when it's very important to, to make sure none of the other Clans get upset with us." Pausing to take a breath and let it all sink in, she went silent for a moment before asking, "Any questions so far, Wingstar?" She asked with a soft purr and smile, briefly wondering if he was the kind of kid to ask the most out of pocket question that would make her reconsider everything- or be totally weirded out. Either way- this was already quite enjoyable and peaceful. And it definitely didn't make her longing for children of her own much stronger by the second.
Green eyes watched the deputy with a burning intensity as listened in, ears perked and angled forward. The first rule seemed pretty obvious - of course being leader meant being loyal to RiverClan first and foremost. Doing anything in his power to make sure they were protected... that was easy enough. Wingkit would do whatever was necessary to make sure his Clan stayed at the top."I don't want friends from other Clans," he hissed, shaking his head feverishly. "All of the other Clans are weak anyways; RiverClan is the only Clan that really matters." And each cat had their place among the Clan, sure, but Wingkit had important blood running through him - after all, his father was the medicine cat and his aunt was the leader. It would only be natural for him to assume the throne when he came of age to do so.
The next rule sounded about the same. Moving Clans?? Wingkit stuck out his tongue at this, a disgusted look coming upon his face. "When I'm leader," he scoffed with a look to their entrance, "no cat that isn't pure RiverClan will be allowed within our walls. I'll make sure our Clan is filled with only the strongest!" There would be absolutely no stinky frogs or squirrels or bunnies allowed! Those were what the other Clans were called, right? At least that's what he'd heard around camp.
Tilting his head to the side, Wingkit peered at Birdsnow with confusion. "But what if RiverClan needs more land? Isn't what makes a Clan powerful is having a large territory to control?" It made sense to his little brain; the more land they had the larger they could be. And larger Clans were just better than every other Clan. There were a lot of other questions running around in his mind but this was the one at the forefront. "Don't we wanna show the Clans how powerful we are? Why don't we just take their land? That way, we have enough territory to last us alllllll throughout the snow when it comes."
