Tulipkit’s eyes narrowed. Who did this kit think he was? What a show-off! “I wasn’t trying to kill it. I was just practicing hunting for when I become the best warrior this Clan will ever see,” She puffed out her chest pridefully, trying to one up Adderkit, before sneering back “but now you’ve broken its wings and ruined our fun.”Tulipkit was stubborn and not one to back down when someone challenged her or offended her. She barely acknowledged Laburnumkit besides a simple “I’m Tulipkit.”

he stuck his tongue out jeeringly. ``well that's too bad, that spots already taken! i'm gonna be the best warrior in all of the clans combined!`` he hissed, burying the dragonfly before turning to face the kit. although smidge taller than tulipkit, he purred up his chest, the fur on his spine bristling with envy.

``you mouse-brain, stop being so clueless! i'm gonna be the most awesome tom in all of ThunderClan!`` he snarled, puffy tail lashing angrily.

laburnumkit, knowing that she wasn't going to get a reply from tulipkit, sat a good distance away and watched the interaction with disinterest.

Tulipkit’s fur bristled as well as her pride flared up. “Oh yeah? Well I’m gonna be the best warrior in the whole wide world, and I’m gonna be so good that no one will EVER surpass me!” She retorts, trying to make herself taller. “You’re gonna be the best tom in ThunderClan?” She scoffs. “We’re in RiverClan, mousebrain.”

The she-kit didn’t mean to ignore Laburnumkit, in fact normally she’d like to make more friends. But Adderkit had wounded her pride, and she wasn’t just going to let it go.

adderkit stumbled in his mistake, glaring at tulipkit so intensely that he had almost forgot how to stand. ``i-it's not my fault i forgot!w-well, i'm gonna be even better than SkyClan and StarClan! i'll even have the Dark Forest cats scared of me- they'll be trembling in their flea-bitten pelts!``

laburnumkit seemed more bored than ever. usually, she'd toy off with older warriors or elders, but without being near adderkit she felt lost. so, she'd rather just sit and watch rather than get caught wandering off, shaking in fear of the big world.

adderkit, one with the temper, dug his tiny kitten claws into the dirt. his paws were tense with the stretch and were cramping as he hissed. ``you're just a stupid she-kit! you must have eaten a whole hive of bees, the way you think you're gonna be good at anything!`` he snarled.

She walked closer to Adderkit, swishing her tail irritably as if challenging him. What a frog brain. He thinks he’s so cool just because he killed one dragonfly! So what if he’s taller and a tom-kit? Tulipkit wouldn’t let him win this argument easily.

adderkit felt sorry for himself. why had he been so.. rude? tulipkit had done nothing but try to defend herself! he was just a big meanie.

``i-i'm sorry! i didn't mean it! i don't want to fight anymore! shut up!`` adderkit whined loudly, making tulipkit pin her ears. his voice was sure squeaky when he made it be.

Tulipkit grimaced as the kit started whining and crying loudly. He really just admitted defeat and tried to victimize himself? She watched as he threw tantrum, turning over to Laburnumkit momentarily throwing her a glance that reads: Is he always like this…?

She turns back to Adderkit her grimace shifting to a look of disgust, then discomfort. She had no clue how to deal with the crying tom. She couldn’t decide whether to comfort him and apologize or insult him, or what. She was still upset at him. Plus he just told her to shut up and called him a meanie!

She sighed and says in a very awkward, forced manner, “Hey… don’t cry… how are you gonna be the best warrior in all the Clans if you cry like a kit when you get insulted?” She says in a somewhat comforting manner. She didn’t really want to comfort the cat who’d insulted her, and she definitely didn’t want to apologize. But she couldn’t help but feel bad, maybe she was in the wrong too. But only just a tiny little bit. It was mainly his fault.

Marigoldkit tiptoed in cautiously, her fur standing up at the ends. Perhaps it wasn't worth the hassle or the ear splitting noise. Well mostly the ear splitting noise. That by itself made her want to raise her hackles and bolt out of the clearing.

But she wouldn't. Because she'd much rather be in the here with a wailing kit than alone in the nursery.

Marigoldkit slipped away to some nearby reeds, taking her time licking her chest with her rough tongue.

laburnumkit nods pitifully as tulipkit casts a disgusted look her way. adderkit writhes uncontrollably, weeping like a litter of unfed newborn kits. as tulipkit reached out to comfort the aggressively crying tom, laburnumkit stood, stretched, and silently walked up to them.

``no bother trying to.. console.. him.`` laburnumkit advised in boredom. ``he's just gonna have another fit about pitying him.`` laburnumkit gave the darker-furred kit a hearty smack across the muzzle. rough, although simply playful.

adderkit straightened up after that. standing, eyes puffy, he sniffled whilst staring at tulipkit apologetically. ``sorry that i was being mean.`` he shuffed his paw, kicking a pebble away with a tiny flick of his claw.

``i'm sorry about him,`` laburnumkit managed to utter through her teeth, watching as he walked away from them, tail tucked and ears pinned backward. tucking her head down, she groomed her poofy chest, eyes thoughtfully staring at the ground beneath.

in the midst of him walking away from tulipkit and laburnumkit, he accidentally bumped into marigoldkit. with a few sniffles, he helped her stand back onto her paws, sitting next to her, posture slouched and eyes wet with tears threatening to fall. ``s-sorry i bumped into you,`` he muttered, raising an aching paw to wipe some of said tears.
