Wonderful conversation starter, talking about Lynxpaw. Typical Whiteheart. He licked the side of the she-cat's face, wiping off tears with his coarse tongue. "He's probably happy, y'know. He wouldn't like to see ya cry, would he?" He would be sad himself, seeing that he made you cry indirectly... The unspoken words hung in Whiteheart's mind. He snuggled closer to the crying kitty, hoping to provide reassurance." But I'm really really sorry. Maybe Lynxpaw will be mad at me for making you cry and send one of his lynxes after me," he blurted, speaking his thoughts aloud for the first time ever.

Cougarbite, now the only cougar of shadowclan, really wanted to be an elite. he wasn’t sure what else he could do to prove himself though. He also liked that dreamingbloom had pitched an idea to dawnstar that she had accepted. it made them both look good

Nodding softly with the appreciation of her mates agreement, she let her cheek fur brush his to let him know she had nodded and not ignored him. Licking his ear softly Mothcloud mewed. "All clans have big problems, according to some of our very stupid warriors, my family is a big problem because of what one cat did and taught her kits to do, it was Deadwish's fault his mother taught him to kill, we should blame Emberwing not her kits who had no control over what they learned and from who." Mothcloud paused with a small sigh, her family was so.... messed up. It's a true relief there not all dead.
"Cloversun's just had her kits which are related to mine," She began to her mate "And yet again, because of Shadowclan's distrust in my family, they killed her kits father as well. Mintbranch had no control! Pepperleaf - there sister - Gets so much hate it's ridiculous. The only reason they haven't killed her to is that shes bringing in kits for them to ruin with the stories of there mothers horrors." Mothcloud fumed at the thought of her kits being blamed or hated on because there father was a murderer.
A random warrior (NPC Or anybody that wishes to sneer lol) sneered at Mothcloud, saying something to her about her kits that made Mothcloud bristle, getting to her feet and bushing out her fur so she looked twice her size, extending her sharp, long claws she snarled. "If one cat from this clan or any other clan dares to spit a word of good will to my kits, they'll be begging for mercy, tell Deadwish I said high cuz that's where I'll put you" Mothcloud growled. Her fur bristling.

Hawkgrowl listened sourly as Dawnstar told them about Thunderclan's rattyness. He fully agreed with every word she said, Thunderclan had been free to do what they pleased for far too long. It was time to put them in their place.

Hawkgrowl tensed as Dawnstar announced the disapearance of the commander. He tensed more when Dawnstar spoke about available spots. Now, this was his perfect opportunity. This could be his chance, his chance to protect his sister. He would do anything to make sure she was safe. His eyes floated across to Hawkbite's stiff body, wondering what his reaction would be. But, if he made it too obvious, the sucking-up would be clear. Then, Hawkbite would definitely not suggest him.

The muscled warrior looked back towards Dawnstar, waiting for her to wrap up the meeting.

Softpaw watched gloomily from her spot by the apprentice's den. Why was there constantly trouble? Why the never-ending bloodlust? Was it impossible to wish for peace? For calm within the clans? Everybody in her clan looked like ravage dogs, licking their teeth and slobbering already, as if they could taste the sweet blood of the Thunderclan cats. What kind of idiot fed such nonsense to these monsters? What could possibly have create this horrific scene? Softpaw stared at the ground, hoping nobody died in what was soon to be a full blow war...

Hawkbite stiffened initially at the news. An alliance with WindClan? His brows furrowed with thought, but he wouldn't voice his words. He could see it backfiring on them if the other clans were to find out. With how hostile ThunderClan was in recent moons, he could see Bumblestar taking that as a threat to them. That being said, he'd have to help make sure ShadowClan kept their traps shut and not antagonize the others until they falter.

The next set of news wasn't one he was expecting, especially from the recent events and reports he'd been giving Dawnstar. Nonetheless, the tom would meet that fiery gaze and dip his head in return. A silent promise to uphold the rank the best he could. His chin would raise, showing off the prideful gleam as his gaze drifted around his clanmates. His ambition wasn't going unrewarded.

One voice chimed in before all others, Hawkbite would turn towards the nursery and give the tiny kitten a smile. He'd have to go pester Mothkit after this. He turned back towards Dawnstar, awaiting a dismissal or the next set of news.

Much to her chagrin, before Darkfall or the young she-kit could reply to her (embarrassingly) bewildered question, Dawnstar continued on with announcements once more. Starrypaw had become Starrywisp, and Larkfire allowed a small smile to tip the corners of her mouth upward. She'd trained that one a little, she had. "Starrywisp, Starrywisp!" The chant was quiet on her end, sure, but Larkfire would rather not raise her voice and, well, yell at her clanmates. Amber hues watched as the newest warrior beamed at her surroundings and scurried back to her place in the crowd.

Apprentice reassignments came next, and Larkfire briefly made note of which apprentices were assigned to which warriors, in case the latter slacked off. Her heart throbbed with slight guilt and sadness at the thought of her own two apprentices, both lost to the wild. First Hollowpaw, then Eveningpaw. Maybe she just wasn't cut out to be a mentor herself, but training others' apprentices was her strong suit.

It was after assigning all these that Dawnstar moved on to the announcement Larkfire had most been expecting -- and awaiting.

'ShadowClan! It has been decided that Larkfire will be the new medicine cat apprentice of ShadowClan.'

Ah, there it was.

No longer was she an enforcer of ShadowClan, aiming to claim the title of Enforcer Commander. Maybe at heart, sure, but now she was ShadowClan's Medicine Cat apprentice, replacement of Ivysnake.

Hawkkit [ @FrostyGalaxy ] was the first to approach her, a bundle of energy and excitement all on her own as she blabbered on, congratulating Larkfire about her new role in life. Huh. She hadn't taken the kit part of ShadowClan society to be really listening to Dawnstar's announcements. But in Hawkkit's defense... Larkfire herself had been a studious kit, not nearly as jumpy or excited as the lass hopping around in front of her. "Thank you." Her response was brief and to the point, because not a moment later the kitten was zooming off, apparently to go play with her denmate.

Unsurprisingly, it was Hawkkit's father who approached Larkfire next, and the grey feline offered Cougarbite [ @JackFrost_17 ] a smile, rising from her loaf position to sit back on her haunches and wrap her tail neatly around herself. "Thank you, Cougarbite." That was all she could say, no? What else did one do?

Her amber gaze, unbidden, drifted briefly to Elmshadow [ @/Pitou ] when the dark medicine cat - her new mentor - dipped his head at Dawnstar's words, awknowledging the announcement as something he'd agreed on. At the very least, that was good -- because apparently it only took a couple moments for an older queen, Mothcloud [ @AlliWant4XmasIsDdeonghwa! ] if she recalled correctly, to question Larkfire's new rank. True, she'd had kits, (or, well kit) but Dawnstar had already told her she didn't care.

Fire-colored eyes drifted to Darkfall [ @Dark ] as he congratulated her, and she responded to him with a wider smile. She recalled the words the tom spoke on her behalf beforehand, that she would be the mother to his kits. No matter the jealousy that writhed in her gut, Larkfire wouldn't let it get in the way. She'd get over it eventually, because Darkfall was truly hers now, and if his kits needed a mother... who was she to deny it? Offering Fallenkit [ @poppy ] a hesitant, gentle smile, Larkfire nodded to the kit. She was unsure why she felt like there were catterpillars squirming in her belly. Pshaw! Larkfire would never ever get nerves just from wondering if her lover's kits would like her. No...

"I would love to be your mother, if you'd let me." She told Fallenkit gently, attempting to reach over and lick the kit between the ears.

Speaking of kits, it wasn't long before Sleepykit [ @Estelle ] tumbled over, and Larkfire aimed to draw the young kitten into her embrace, to rasp her tongue over the she-kit's fur. At the youngster's questions, the young Queen paused in her grooming to look over at the kittens. "Well..." Really, what was her job? "You know Elmshadow? You know how he heals the Clan with his..." Plants. "..herbs? I'm going to help him with that from now on. So if either of you ever get hurt, you come to me, okay?" There. That was nice and simple enough, right?

Attention turning to Hawkbite, Larkfire couldn't help but allow another smile (gosh, she was smiling too much today) grace her lips before she smothered it. The enforcers had a commander. While she would not be able to fight Cougarivy for the coveted spot anymore, seeing as she was now the Medicine Cat apprentice, is was good to see Hawkbite rise in ranks. Now that the Enforcers only had three members, they'd need to start recruiting -- and it seemed Dawnstar too agreed.
