Beachkit bounded over to see what the commotion was about in the clearing after wriggling free from the confines of the nursery. Finally! Some excitement actually happening IN camp instead of outside where he wasn't allowed to go.
Arriving in time to see Goatscrunch smack a blob of flesh from a warrior, he felt his stomach churn in mild horror and confusion. "WHAT IS THAT THING? WHAT IS THAT!" He'd never seen anything LIKE it. (His mom hadn't allowed him to be in the nursery during any births.)
"It's all icky!!" There was blood, and grossness, and .. more grossness! AND IT MADE AN ALMOST-CATLIKE NOISE, it was alive!
Goatscrunch saw Forestivy holdin' a gross lookin' thing, askin' for help. "Ain't no worries, I gotchu!" He hobbled over and swung his paw toward Forestivy's jaws. "Jus' 'old still 'n I'll get dat thing off yer face!"

Starclan, Twolegs? She never would have guessed that Sparrowstar would be taken by Twolegs. Redhawk, the name sounds familiar, but she hadn't really met her until now. Lotuspaw twitches her ears, the question drawing a blank for a second. Oh yes, she has a new mentor now. She opens her mouth to respond, her eyes a little teary,
"Well, my old mentor seems to have gone missing. Apparently I have a new one, but I haven't really even met them yet."
Lotuspaw looks at the ground for a moment, recalling her wonderful old mentor. Then, realizing how drearily downcast her expression is, she tries to perk up. Lotuspaw shakes the sadness off, although it were just a leaf clinging to her pelt. "Umm, it looked as if you were searching for something, may I ask what that is? I might be able to help search!" Lotuspaw tries her best to sound optimistic, only showing the slightest hint of loneliness in her tone. Her eyes are what could really give away though, the smile just doesn't reach them.

Another case of mentor incompetence. It made her want to fluff her fur up in anger, recalling too how Sunpaw had told her that he hadn't gotten so much as a sniff outside of the camp walls until their herb patrol to the Thunderglade. What were the warriors even dong? Just sitting on their lazy butts while the next generation of the Clan grew up exactly how they did? Well, not exactly. They had order and stability now, thanks to Bumblestar... training perhaps just needed a refresher.
Hmm? This cat wanted to help her look? She seemed on the younger side, but there was a small change Lotuspaw would know her sister. "I was actually, y-yeah. My sister, Gentledoe. I haven't seen her since I r-returned, although she was always pretty busy. I just figured she was out o-of camp somewhere or..." A patrol, maybe? Hunting? Doing something much more productive than what Red was doing? "She's got long brown f-fur and one blue eye and one green eye. Really kind, and very p-polite and nice." It warmed her heart to remember her sister, smiling a bit. "...Have you seen anyone like that lately? Or heard of her?"

Oh, she's looking for another cat. Lotuspaw thinks for a moment, recalling some names she's heard since she'd gotten back.
"I'm sorry, I don't think I've heard the name Gentledoe, I wish I could be more help, but she doesn't sound familiar,"
Lotuspaw shakes her head and looks at the ground, scared to see disappointment on the other molly's face if she looked up.
She must be really special to her though, based on how her tone changed when talking about her, it sounded warmer. Lotuspaw smiles sadly, she had someone special to her once, he's probably long gone by now though. He had just told her his feelings about her before her disappearance. Well, there could be a chance that he's still here, you never know unless you look. But hey, she's a little passed hope by now, though she'll still ask around. A tear drops as she imagines his cute little face, and blind, but still expression-full eyes. She should stop tormenting herself, this really is too much for her.
Pebbleshine couldn't lie, coming back from a visit to Willow's Rise to find a fox had torn through their clearing was not very fun. How many times would her safe space be violated?? First a sink hole, then a fox... what next? Would a super mega giant cat come stomping in and squish all of Thunderclan like ants? The tuxedo cat shivered at the thought. How would one go about defeating a beast like that? Maybe I can upgrade my Super Pebble Punch into a Super Mega Pebble Punch? I just need to grow some wings and get super buff and I'll be all set! That sounded like a reasonable plan to her! Perhaps she could get someone else's advice?
As she stepped into the clearing, the first cat she spotted was Sprucepaw. The two hadn't interacted much - seeing as Pebsie was twice his age and mostly stuck to following her siblings around like a shadow. Still, new friends couldn't hurt! Besides, he seemed to be fighting against an invisible enemy with some Sweet Spruce Slaps. "Cool!" She exclaimed, racing up to join the action. The two could take down this foe together and become best friends forever!
"You dastardly villain, keep your paws off Sprucey, or face my Super Pebble Punch!" She leapt in front of Sprucepaw to tackle the invisible foe and save the apprentice - only managing to plop down face first in the cold earth below. Oh. I really thought there was an invisible enemy there... She thought sheepishly; her chest aching from the fall. No worries! She could still slap at it with Sprucey and finish it off! Smiling at the apprentice, Pebbleshine began swiping at the air.

Fudge's ears flattened a little at the younger kit's musings. Imagine. The name these odd cats had given him fitting him. When he had already had a name. A perfectly good name that his ma had given him. That his family had known him by. But evidently was not good enough for these star worshipers. A part of him wanted to hate this little calico for even daring to suggest such a thing, but his annoyance soon faded. She was a kit, after all. She probably hadn't meant any harm by it. Besides, she didn't know any better. No knowledge of what lay outside the camp's walls. Not that it was necessarily all that much better. Life was not kind to cats, no matter where they came from, he supposed. Best if she was blind to those faults of nature for now.
Instead, the tom shrugged again, snorting slightly as she began to ponder on his upcoming warrior name. He didn't understand it. What sort of thought process went into picking a warrior name. He didn't even understand why there was a process to begin with. When he had been born, his ma called him Fudge. And he was going to be Fudge from that moment onwards. Never had he met cats before that changed names like these cats did. And for what? Learning to hunt? Learning to fight? Being ignorant enough about how no one really cared about such things? It was mind boggling, but the young apprentice remained quiet, again not wishing to disrupt this... Lightning from her fun.
In spite of his better judgement, the chocolate point swallowed the last bit of thrush, licking his whiskers clean before focusing his attention on his little companion once more. Carefully, he raised his forepaw, pointing at her. He remained quiet for a moment, debating on how to word his response to her. He had gotten funny, blank looks from adult cats sometimes when it came to his speaking habits. The last thing he needed was to waste a precious word on a kit who might not even understand the meaning of that which he so chose to utter in the first place.
"Yours?" Fudge finally uttered, settling on a simple enough way to phrase his query.
It was a way to keep the conversation going, he supposed, as it seemed Lightning was enjoying herself. But removing the attention from himself. It made him quite uncomfortable to realize that any of these cats might put any thought at all on his own future for some reason. He would rather avoid it, if he could. The unsettling, prickling sensation that kept creeping up his legs all the way to his ears, thank you very much. He didn't need to understand it to know he didn't like... whatever this was. Best just change the course of the conversation and ignore it completely. After all, what was he good at if not ignoring things he didn't care for in their absolute?
Roseraven shuffled anxiously. She wanted to get out of camp and look for herbs but it was a bit too cold for that, surely. Herbs didn't fare well in the cold.
Sheepkit sat in the camp. Sulking into his own frosty coat, he let out a sigh of boredom. Sheepkit so bored. He looked around for something interesting to do. Looking towards the frosty forest, she slowly sat up. It wouldn't hurt to explore, right? She slowly headed towards the camp entrance.
