Alyssa sighed. Another boring day. And this time she was called to a coffee shop. A coffee shop! Of all the places, supernatural activity was found at a coffee shop. Well, I can use a cup of coffee right about now...

Moving her hair out of her eyes, she entered the shop, yawning and looking around. It seems the shop was still open..

Bea was ready to go home. She'd managed not to shift for a full work day, and at this rate expected it to happen at any moment. Her co-workers, Flora and MJ, had left just a few minutes earlier, leaving Bea to hold down the fort. When they were there, work could be fun, but without them... It was a drag, to say the least. She heard the jungle of the front door opening, and looked up with a fake smile.

"Hello! Can I help you?"

That's why I'm hear, but if it's a false call, and even if it isn't, I could use a cup of coffee. I don't get much sleep." She stretches and glanced at the menus.

Oh, crap. Now Bea was scared. Luckily, she'd been working here for a while, so she knew how to smile despite any true feelings, no matter how strong they were. "Yeah, uh, I don't think I've seen any ghosts around," she said, glancing behind her for effect. "But I can get you that coffee. What kind?"

"I was given the call round about an hour ago, and you seem to be the only one left in this shop, so it's to my understanding that you gave me that call, but your voice is different than what I heard on the phone. Anyway, I'll just have plain coffee with a little caramel."

(Alyssa is a well-known detective with her mother, and her mother likes to charge money if time was wasted cause people just wanna see her or her daughter or both)

Oh, goddamit! Bea looked down at her hand. It had turned the same color blue as her hair, signifying that she would turn soon. She quickly stuffed her hand into her jacket pocket, smiling despite her inward horror. Bea handed the girl her coffee, and could actually feel the ghostyness climbing up her forearm and towards her torso. Within the next five minutes, it would be impossible to hide.
