A beautiful red tabby slips between the shadows, you can see in her leaf green eyes that she is longing to toy with a new victim. She swipes her tongue around her jaws, she can almost taste the blood already.

Xe'd been running before the sun even peeked its golden hue over the jagged horizon. Xe had left xeir old home only two days ago, and still didn't entirely know what xe was doing. Taking a deep breath, xe surveyed his surroundings, slowing his sprint to a gallop. Xe could scent a cat - one xe didn't know. Cautiously, xe raised xeir hackles.

Of course, xe would avoid a fight if possible - but xeir brother had always said, better safe than sorry.

Shift treaded on soft paws, unsure if this other cat had sensed his presence yet.

When she scents another cat Cherry grins wickedly, not bothering to hide her presence, she comes out from behind a tree, circling around her next victim. "Hello little cat, how are you doing on this fine evening?" Cherry queries, "... All alone."

Shift stiffens as the cat - a she-cat - reveals herself to xem. Xeir ginger tail frizzes and lashes, and takes a cautious step back. The way she speaks unsettles him. "I'm... fine," xe whispers, frowning.

She laughs, there are waves of fear coming off xim. "You know, I haven't had any real entertainment lately, do you know my favorite way to pass time?" Cherry, continues to circle around xim, making sure to show off her sharp fangs.

Xe flinches at the white glint of the she-cat's fangs. Shift's yellow eyes are full of suspicion as x stares, trembling, at this mystery cat. "N-no," xe says, failing to hide xeir fear.

Suddenly, Cherry is behind xim, a wide grin on her face. "Well then, let me show you, I promise it's a lot of fun... for me!" She scratches xis flank, an excited glint in her eye. As soon as she comes though, she's back to circling him, enjoying his cowering. She licks the blood off her muzzle, drawing out the hunt.
