HorseLeap would look down at her kit with wide eyes, ' ' Hi sweetheart! ' ' It suddenly hit her that LightKit was halfway to her apprenticeship. She let out a purr as she scooped her in with a paw and began cleaning her head. HorseLeap couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as she watched LightKit's tiny body squirm with excitement. She knew that her kit was destined for greatness and that she would one day become a skilled warrior. HorseLeap couldn't wait to see what the future held for her beloved daughter.

Beachkit -
Beachkit had sneaked away from the nursery. With his mom asleep, there was nobody around to tell him he wasn't old enough to attend the meeting. If he was old enough for stories of battles and love, he surely met the age requirements of a Clan meeting. Besides, he was pretty sure he spotted other unruly kits present.
Accomplished and proud, he plopped down among his clanmates to gaze at Bumblestar for what felt like the first time. He'd probably seen her in passing, perhaps, but never had the opportunity to truly take in the sight of their leadership. And she was saying words! Addressing the whole Clan (including him!)
Shortly thereafter, he found himself facing a pinch of jealousy that he wasn't among the kits being called up today, and with that realization, the sulking started.
Well, the frosty undertones of Tansyjaw previous scoldings were certainly still present. Although, it seemed somewhat offset by the promise of new kin soon to arrive. Chest puffed up slightly in pride as he thought of his mate and the kits that were very soon to come if Dovefluff's behavior and general... pregnant-ness was anything to go by.
"I'm certainly no medicine cat, but I'd hazard a guess that they should arrive in the next few sunrises," he rumbled quietly, amber gaze flicking back towards the nursery before returning his attention to his leader as she called a gaggle of kits up for their apprentice ceremonies. "I am unsure of how many we'll have, but my personal hope is for a large litter."
A pleased rumbling purr echoed from his chest as the large tom speculated on his impending fatherhood. Perhaps he'd gain a prodigy or two out of this first litter, but one could hardly tell such things until the kits were at least able enough to venture outside the protective confines of the nursery. Would they have his pelt? His eyes? Perhaps he'd gain a daughter who mirrored their mother's appearance. But whatever the case, he'd ensure their training and family values were thoroughly engrained into their upbringing.
Tansyjaw was almost tempted to chuckle. Almost. Her sense of humor mostly related to vaguely threatening death and destruction upon others, but for some reason Lioncrest's little comment about not being a medicine cat tickled her slightly. Wrongly. He was not in her good graces enough to be getting a laugh, no sirree. All he was getting was a choked off little snort, which wasn't terribly attractive but better than a big laugh. Chuckle. Whatever.
What she would allow herself was to wish her grandkit well in his hope for a large litter. She would certainly prefer one, seeing as their family had declined in number somewhat throughout her lifetime. It was a bit easier to manage them when there weren't so many, but it meant less cats to carry on their legacy. Lioncrest was the only one who'd gotten around to having kits recently, which was rather unfortunate. Tansyjaw wanted the chance to impress values on at least a few more litters before she bit the dust herself. I hope Starclan blesses you and....your mate with a large litter as well.
Let it not be said that Tansyjaw was unreasonable. She was aware by now that there would be no dissuading Lioncrest from being mates with Dovefluff, if they weren't officially mates already, there was nothing for her to do but accept it. Was she happy? No. Could she deal with it because she was far more sensible than those fools Shockkit and Sparkkit she could see over there? Yes. She also saw no reason to stay on such a mutually dissatisfying topic. How do you think Bumblestar plans to deal with the hostility with Windclan? It was a rather radical switch in topic, but would likely be involved in the meeting coming up, so there was no harm in discussing it now.

Bumblestar glanced over the kits who stepped forward. No Burnetkit, Batkit, or Lightningkit, but the others were present. She made a mental note to shout for the remaining three after these were done.
"Right, then. Fuzzkit, Foxkit, Rainkit, and Leafkit, the four of you've proven yourself ready to start your training. Going forward, until you work your way up to your warrior names, you'll be Fuzzpaw, Foxpaw, and Rainpaw. Leafkit, since we already have a Leafpaw, you'll be Forestpaw for now. If you want to change that, come talk to me after the meeting.
"Fuzzpaw, your mentor will be Violetfreckle. Foxpaw, I'm pairing you up with Redhawk. Rainpaw, you'll be training with Mothdust. Forestpaw, I want you to work with Wolfshadow."
Lifting her head to scan the clearing again, she called out, "As for Burnetkit [ @Spartan-117 ], Batkit [ @FruitBatz ], and Lightningkit [ @TheLostAmongTheStars ]! You three get one more chance to come forward or I'm skipping you 'till the next meeting."

The meeting began without much fanfare or drama, to which Redhawk was thankful. Gone were the days of chaotic meetings it seemed, where voices would fight to be heard over one another and cats would get kicked out. Or the meeting that had been called by Dawnstar... a time in history that still sent shivers down her spine if her mind lingered on it long enough. ThunderClan seemed stable - much more stable than anything Red had witnessed. It made her chest feel warm and full of pride, and she sat up a bit straighter.
A loud voice calling from the back had her turning her head to see the resident grumpster Goatscrunch make his way into the clearing. Red twitched her whiskers, amused by the clearly cranky fella, before looking back up to Bumblestar. Kits were called forward, bringing a grin to the somali's face. She remembered her ceremony, standing beside Gentledoe as they had been given their names. It had been a rather chaotic time for the Clan, but they had managed to persevere and stick together throughout their training. A familiar ache settled in her heart as she glanced briefly to the empty spot beside her. Missing her sister would likely never get easier...
Her name being called from the Stormcrest sent shockwaves of surprise rippling through her and she snapped back to attention. A mentor? Her?? Surprise glittered in her green gaze and her jaw dropped just a little. Was she ready?? She hadn't ever mentored an apprentice before. She had helped teach plenty, but never had one that was entirely her responsibility. Swallowing her shock Red got to her paws and gave her leader a nod. She would do this. ThunderClan would have an exceptional warrior by the time she was done with Foxpaw - or so she hoped, at least.
Twisting around and padding through the crowd, careful to not step on any paws, the small warrior gave a kind smile towards the newly named apprentice, bending down to allow them to touch noses. "H-Hello. I'm Redhawk, I'll b-be your mmm-mentor." Conflicting emotions of both shyness and excitement crashed like waves inside her chest as she took a seat near her new apprentice. "W-What would you l-like to start on once the m-meeting is o-over?" Would they even want to get started right away? Red certainly did.
