Amberwing watched the ceremony intently, claws digging into the dirt. She couldn't avoid everyone forever until she got an apprentice. She would talk to him after his warrior name was bestowed, she had no reason not to.

Fishpaw smiled smugly at the cat atop the Floodstone. Look at her trying to be all formal, he bet that it was because she wanted to avoid him complaining about it. Well, she was doing well enough at the moment, so he’d allow it.

Standing proudly, the small tom nodded his head before uttering ”I do.” Truthfully? He couldn’t give a rat’s ass about the warrior code if it ever proved to be an inconvenience for him. All he cared about was the betterment of the clan so that he could be proud of being a RiverClan cat again. Speaking of, he wasn’t dying for the current RiverClan. He didn’t care. Like, at all. StarClan themselves could tell him to die so that the rest of the clan may live, but if he knew that nothing would change, he’d choose to live and restart the clan from scratch. That was how much he hated the direction the clan was going in.

So what did he do? He smiled as if he didn’t tell one of the boldest lies of his life, eyes twinkling with faint mischief. He felt like that was believable enough, and if not? Oh well, Larkleader wouldn’t dare change her mind like that in front of the whole clan. And well, if she did, maybe a rebellion didn’t seem too bad after all.

StrawberryPaw couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as she watched LarkStar ask FishPaw if he would uphold the warrior code. Her green eyes were wide and alert as she tracked the apprentice's every movement, studying his demeanor closely. While most cats would be beaming with joy at the prospect of becoming a warrior, FishPaw seemed to be more mischievous than anything else.

Despite her suspicions, StrawberryPaw decided to leave it be. After all, FishPaw was much older and wiser than her, and she didn't feel like she was in any place to question him. Nevertheless, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about the white and gray tomcat.

As LarkStar continued to speak, StrawberryPaw's thoughts drifted to the warrior code itself. She knew that it was the backbone of their clan, the rules that kept them all safe and made them strong. And yet, sometimes it felt like there was so much more to being a warrior than just following a set of rules. StrawberryPaw would have much to learn before she could become a warrior.

At Fishpaw's words of agreement, Larkstar can't help but pause for just a heartbeat too long. She wasn't confident he actually believed in his words, but she'd have to take them at face value for the time being. There was a time and place to question him, and now was not it.

"Then, by the powers of StarClan," 'not that StarClan's given me any reason to think they approve of me,' her mind added bitterly, but she continued on, ignoring the twinge of distaste and the way it curled around her tongue. "I give you your warrior name. Fishpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Fishfreckle. StarClan honors your insight and passion, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." Pause for another beat and then lead the chanting of his name, her personal feeling about this set aside for the time being.

After the clan finished welcoming the new warrior, Larkstar let them celebrate him for a moment longer before she moved on to the next topic of discussion."We've recently had to exile a couple cats," she starts, "Sootpelt made an attempt on Birdsnow's life, if you see her around the territory, do with her what you see fit - she's not welcome back here. Similarly, Weaseltooth was also exiled for attempting to seriously injure a couple of kits. He's been exiled for this as well, however, two of the kits who he almost killed saw it fit to join him, claiming they felt I was unfair and that they didn't like how I'm running my own clan. If any of you feel similarly, by all means speak up now or get out." Maybe she still had some of the anger from earlier creeping into her voice, she didn't mean to come across as pissed, but perhaps they'd take her more seriously if she was angry. "As for the other exile, Ottersplash is to be killed if you see her on RiverClan territory and her corpse delivered to ThunderClan." Before the rest of her news, she stops to see reactions from the clan - to see if anyone left.

Hollytail snarled. "Suits Ottersplash right!" he growled.

Snowfall growled. "I never really knew Ottersplash, but what she did was not right. Larkstar, you allowed me to rejoin this clan, so I trust you. I would never doubt you about your leadership ability. You're a good leader Larkstar. You did what was right for Ottersplash."

What the hell? The fact that a cat had the heart to kill innocent kits was bothering her; If only she was there to give a little extra scar across his face before he left. What confuses the she-cat is why the two kits who’s lives were nearly cut short decided to join their attacker. Aren’t they scared their going to get hurt again? Maybe even get killed out there? If Deception ever figured out the two kits are dead then she might claw Weaseltooth’s throat out the next time she sees him. Ottersplash too. Kits are young and they don’t deserve to be treated that way. "Good, and i’ll definitely try make sure they don’t come back" she said in response to the exiles, the tone in her voice is happy though confusion still roams her head about the fact that the kits decided to join Weasel in his exile. Wasn’t necessary for her to say any of that but she just wanted to, y’know?

Hawkmask was just staring blankly at Fishpaw’s warrior ceremony "I’m preettyyy sure starclan never did anything but…anyway…” he reminded the leader in an almost flat tone. Is flame that wrong though?? It’s not actually wrong considering those cats are dead and to his knowledge, never did anything. Also, what molly in the world named their kit Fishkit??? Odd name choice but that’s pretty damn funny actually when you think about the name by itself.
