Make sure to congratulate Versailles on their promotion from c-mod in training to fully fledged chat moderator! They've worked very hard, and we can't wait to see where they go from here!
Shadowshine had to keep herself from spitting the words at Bumblestar.
Instead, she gave a sharp hiss.
"Maybe if you gave the apprentices proper punishments, Bumblestar, then we wouldn't have the problem of them thinking they're better than any cat in this Clan. Oh, and not to mention that your kits are the only apprentices you actually defend, during battle or not."
"Instead, you give them weak, mouse-brained punishments that actually make their attitudes worse. Not to mention that your giving Sunpaw to Spiderthroat of all cats, the same warrior known for killing that WindClan apprentice, Mousepaw."
Shadowshine's voice was as cold as ice, and her amber eyes burned with a fire of anger and hurt.
"I'm surprised StarClan let you become leader of ThunderClan, Bumblestar, because at the moment, you're no better than Sunpaw."

"Of course ya can, kiddo." Rateye softly purred to the kit, moving over so the kit can sit beside him.
Oatkit gave a grateful smile, sitting beside the tom as he neatly wrapped his tail around his paws. "Do you know my mommy?" Oatkit asked

Leafpaw just wanted to sit at one nice, calm meeting for once in her life but that wasn't going to happen she guessed. She stayed quiet while Drizzlecloud said her speech. She may be a bit of a hothead but she had manners when it came to it. Yet as she saw that nobody warrior smack sunpaw like that, she had half the mind to walk over there and rip their ear off. How could a full-grown warrior act like a kit when they are faced with someone's ire? She didn't get a chance to throw her words out since they got ganged up on by others around here. "What part of Sunpaws words made it sound like they were better than you? You must be tone-deaf or something!" she snorted side eyeing Shadowshine. She didn't say anything else, not wanting to argue with a mouse-brained idiot like that. Leafpaw did not have the brain capacity right now to get into it with someone who couldn't take a punishment when they were obviously in the wrong. Meanwhile, she sneakily moved over to take a seat close to Sunpaw. "You good? she asked the other, she knew the hit probably didn't hurt them too much but she liked to check up on those she had a liking to.
Wolfpaw had missed the initial commotion, but was keyed in when cats started dogpiling a warrior for abuse. Then Bumba popped in, and that oughta been that - but the idiot decided to keep running their mouth.
"Did you hit your head or have you always been this dumb?" He prompted, impulsively and with an irked lash of his tail. "Apprentices are sick of warriors being all talk and no show, and you ain't any different. You whine and complain that you can't beat kids, you wonder why they don't like you, and you get huffy when no one else is vibing with your crap.
"Get over yourself, lady. Respect is earned, not given - and all you've done is earn everyone's ire 'cause your idea of a proper punishment is smackin kids." The whole WindClan thing itself was laughable, given it was their word against ThunderClan's. "Wild you're more sympathetic with an enemy Clan than the challenges your own face.. it's in their best interest to make claims like Spiderthroat killed Mousepaw. Spiderthroat's a dummy, but he ain't stupid enough to go around killin' children like you might be." Despite his roughness, Spiderthroat had never raised his paw against any ThunderClan youth. Shadowshine couldn't say the same about herself.
And then, he rose to his paws with his hackles raised. "And don't you dare disparage her leadership. She's worth a dozen more cats than you'd ever be 'n StarClan knows it. It's why you can't handle a single apprentice, 'n she's handlin' this Clan better than any of our other leaders. You want to moan, Shadowshine? Grow the hell up first, cause right now, you ain't better than a kit havin' a tantrum."
Fernwillow gaped at Shadowshine, completely baffled by the molly's inane rambling. First she hits her apprentice after meeting her not ten heartbeats prior, then has the gall to accuse Bumblestar of nepotism and incompetence? Was she trying to get herself demoted?? She must be having a seizure. Fernwillow pushed herself to her paws, looking with deep concern at Shadowshine. "Are you... having a stroke, or something?" She asked, and although she sounded concern, it was obvious she was just in shock at Shadowshine's stupidity. "A siezure? Lapse into madness? Do you need to see Drizzlecloud?"

Beachkit -
!!! W H O A
Cool, interesting stuff was finally happening at this meeting and purged thoughts about the tragedy in the nursery for now. No more long line of kits becoming apprentices before them, they'd upgraded into a proper interClan spat over.. a mentor being bad. Beachkit couldn't say precisely what'd gone down, but Bumblestar was sure mad about it!
Aaaand very soon, they got a firm understanding of why the Clan overall seemed upset with Shadowshine when she started saying words. RUDE words at the leader! Beachkit wished Bumblestar would go bop her on the head, however they would call the wish partially granted when Wolfpaw provided a verbal reaming worthy of melting at. Wowee wow, he was the greatest. Smart and fierce and brave, stood up to snakes and big bully warriors.
As always - a loud Bumblestar was an angry Bumblestar. A quiet Bumblestar was so much worse.
She stared down at Shadowshine for a long, silent moment, tail tip twitching along the rock beneath her paws. Then she turned to slowly descend the Stormcrest and stalk through her Clan to stand in front of the warrior who so very clearly had a death wish.
"I'm no better than Sunpaw because I was Sunpaw." Tone cold, sharp, low; hackles bristling along her spine. "I understand what it's like to be stuck around warriors who don't care. I also know what it's like not to trust anyone who says they'll do better, 'n I know twice as well what it's like to trust someone who does only to have 'em turn around 'n do exactly the opposite."
Shadowshine was lucky Bumblestar wasn't in the mood to sink her claws into something. "You must be blind as well as brain-dead. I defend those who need defending, 'n I punish those who need punishing, 'n right now, you keep digging yourself a deeper 'n deeper hole for just that. I don't accept abuse or defiance in my Clan. You've displayed both today." She jerked her head toward the camp entrance. "You can see yourself out, or I can drag you, kickin' 'n screamin' by your tail all the way to the border 'n leave you there. It's up to you. But if you make me do it, you'll be wishing you had access to a medicine cat by the time I'm finished."
[ @Shellwhisker - Shadowshine has been exiled. Your next post with her should be her leaving or she risks injury or death. ]

Ah, so the warrior wasn't backing down. What a foolish decision. Ghostglow sighed, making sure she kept warrior and apprentice seperated. Things were getting very tense very fast. It would be a shame if it got bloody.
Her eyes flashed to Bumblestar as she began speaking. The two were of similar ages... had been apprenticed at the same time. Both experienced Shadowclan's harsh rule... and how it had exposed many Thunderclan cats for who they truly were. A father pushing his daughter off the Thunderwillow. Warriors neglecting their apprentices. Leaders disappearing without a care for their clanmates. It changed Ghostglow. It changed all of them. While Ghostglow hid in the shadows, cowardly and tactical; Bumblestar grew to be a leader. She was caring, tough, and gave the youth of Thunderclan the attention her generation never got. For that she would always have the spotted warrior's endless respect.
It seemed her leadership had inspired many others in the same way. Apprentices and warriors alike voiced their support for Sunpaw - as well as their utter disdain for the so called warrior. Stars how I could erupt in a symphony of purrs!! Thinking better of an action at such a tense time, Ghostglow settled with offering Redhawk a sympathetic smile. It takes a lot of courage for such a quiet lion such as her to finally roar.
A small tail flick was given to her dearest friend Drizzlenight. A stand down don't slaughter them just yet kind of signal. Bumblestar had it handled. Exile. Ghostglow smiled, staring at Shadowshine with unblinking eyes. It would be nice to watch them sulk out of camp for good.
