It was finally happening!!! They could hardly believe it. For how long they'd been awaiting the moment, it seemed surreal to be called up for their apprentice ceremony.
Wide eyed and dazed, and perhaps a little less sure-footed than they'd imagined they'd be, Beachkit joined Bumblestar. They straightened their posture and tried to ignore how shaky their legs were despite feeling positively weightless.
Oatkit's eyes widened, his small oat colored eyes wide as he padded forward, reviving a large purr from his mother. Looking back to her he saw her eyes shining with pride. "M-mama?" He said, a bit timid to be alone. Seeing Wetwhisker in the front he felt a bit more confident. Oatkit then started to look around for his bestie. Smiling widely as he saw Weepingwillow cheering him on with a whisk of her tail. Oatkit looked up to his leader, the small kit blinked and sat, keeping his tail over his tiny, trembling paws.
Wetwhisker purred widely. Her eyes gleaming, she looked up towards the stars and whispered. "Grasspaw... that would be your name my dear." Wetwhisker looked back to her kit with a fond smile.

Poppykit! That was her! Bumblystar called her name! Poppykit's eyes positively lit up when the ThunderClan leader, whom she referred to with the nickname her sister had invented (wherever Acornkit may be...), called her up to the Stormcrest. She knew what this meant! The brittle kitten may not have had the privilege of seeing many meetings due to her lengthy sickness, but she still knew what it meant - she was becoming an apprentice, like Plumy and Fleckfleck!
A loud purr came from her throat, but just as the kitten got up to join the other kits to receive their names, a certain scent tingled her nose. A very familiar scent. Hazel eyes widened and the patched tabby turned around she quickly she nearly tumbled to the ground. "Mumzie!!"
A loud squeal came from her little maw, and on wobbly paws she ran over - falling one once - to throw her paws around her mother.
"You're back! You're back! Poppy was looking everywhere for you, Mumzie! But you're here!"
Her purr grew louder, and for a few moment she couldn't care less that Bumblestar had called her for her apprentice ceremony. They could wait, her Mumzie was back! "Was Mumzie looking for Pap? And for Acorn and for Eel? Poppy has been looking for them too! Plumy and Fleckfleck are still here, mhm! But Poppy hasn't seen Eel and Acorn and Pap and.. uhm... Fleckfleck since the plant den but -- but I know Fleckfleck is still here! I think."
She pulled back and her brows furrowed in deep thought. She was certain she'd spotted Fleckfleck around somewhere after finally leaving the plant den, and Plumy too of course! He came to greet her when she returned. But she hadn't seen Eel or Acorn since... Since... The nursery, before the plant den - and then she hadn't seen pap since he brought her to the plant den! She was there for so long, so much had changed - but everything was fine now, because Mumzie had returned, and that meant Acorn and Eel and Pap must be returning soon too!
"Did Mumzie miss Poppy while she was in the plant den? I was there for loooong time, I think. Mhm. Pap was with me, too! I think... He suddenly disappeared after he brought Poppy there. But! You're back! So he'll come back too, right?"
She rattled off her thought process, a bright grin spreading across her maw. "Plumy hasn't seen pap or Eel or Acorn, I don't know about Fleckfleck but - Oh!! Will Mumzie watch Poppy become an apprentice? Poppy is growing big! She's joining Plumy and Fleckfleck!"
The kitten grinned again, rising onto her back paws only before abruptly falling to her back. Oof.
Speaking of Plumy and Fleckfleck, and seeing the other kits by the Stormcrest when she pushed herself up, Poppykit did realise she needed to join them - but she didn't want to leave her Mumzie just yet. Her belly still low to the ground, she turned around to look up at her mother imploringly. "Mumzie will watch right? Mumzie won't disappear? Oh - will Mumzie walk with Poppy? Pretty pretty pleaaasseeeee?"
She pushed herself back up with a little huff after those words, not awaiting confirmation or denial. "Come, come!"
She hummed, already walking towards the Stormcrest with a wobbled but careful step and a single fall (a second close call) - because she was being extra careful!

Drizzlenight arrived a little late to the meeting, but it didn't seem like he'd missed much. Bumblestar hadn't even finished apprentice assignments yet. The warrior sat near the edge of the crowd, curling his tail over his paws.

Kits started coming up. And of course Bumblestar's sibling was, well, being themselves. Her tail twitched and she leaned over the edge of the Stormcrest, staring down at them to say flatly, "Mudhound. If you wanna gag on your own foot, do it on your own time, not in the middle of my meeting. Please be normal for two seconds."
Bumblestar was kind of glad she'd missed out on the big genes. It seemed like those just brought some sort of craziness with them.
In any case. Six kits here, two missing. Not her problem. "Mousekit, Acornkit, Tawnykit, Beachkit, Oatkit, and Poppykit, thank you for actually showing up on time. Until you finish up you're training, you'll be Mousepaw, Acornpaw, Tawnypaw, Beachpaw, Oatpaw, and Poppypaw.
"Mousepaw, your mentor'll be Cloverdove. Acornpaw, you're with Mapledawn." Maybe having an apprentice to look after would teach the warrior some individuality. "Tawnypaw, you're with Rateye. Beachpaw, you're training with Drizzlenight. Oatpaw, Willowstripes, and Poppypaw, you're with Lioncrest."
She turned her attention to the nursery. "Butterflykit, Berrykit! If I don't see you out here you're getting skipped over!"
