hello!! i have had this little plot stewing in the chaos of my mind for a while and finally got the motivation to write a finder for it, so here we go! this is a plotline for my Shadowclan baby Raspberryswirl, but many of the roles are open to kitties of any clan or affiliation. some of them might also end up being NPCs depending on the interest this gets, so we'll see how it goes!
the first spoiler is the basic plot, with open roles in brackets [] and closed roles in bolded names. the second spoiler is variations on the plot that i am open to if they work better for your character(s) and ideas, i'm flexible! and the third spoiler is a recap of the requirements for each role.
THE PLOT
20 moons ago, Raspberryswirl was born in Shadowclan to [MOTHER] and [FATHER]. As the only surviving kitten of [MOTHER]'s litter, both of her parents had high hopes for her future. Unknown to [MOTHER], however, Raspberryswirl had been cursed by [FATHER]'s old nemesis, Mimicskip. Mimicskip and [FATHER] had once been friends, but they were divided by their love for [MOTHER]. When [FATHER] finally won her heart, Mimicskip was driven by grief and attacked [FATHER], who accidentally dealt a fatal blow. As Mimicskip's spirit escaped to StarClan/Dark Forest, they cursed [FATHER]'s children to never succeed in battle, no matter how hard they trained. His offspring would never win a fight or harm another cat, putting an end to [FATHER]'s dreams of a legacy of warriors.
[FATHER] tried to keep this hidden from [MOTHER] for as long as possible, but soon after Raspberryswirl's birth he spilled the beans, burdened by shame. Angry at her mate for the consequences of his warring with Mimicskip, [MOTHER] left him, and made the decision to never tell Raspberryswirl of her curse. [MOTHER] would go on to find [STEP FATHER] when Raspberryswirl was an apprentice, and had Willowpaw ( @Myling ), a child free of Mimicskip’s curse.
Raspberryswirl became a warrior, somehow managing to avoid any real battle experience (perhaps with some protective nudging from [MOTHER]), and fulfilled her duties successfully...until the exile of Riverclan. In this battle, Raspberryswirl faced Birdsnow of Riverclan, and despite her battle training, didn't manage to land a single blow.
Troubled by her failure to perform as a warrior, Raspberryswirl's nights will now be ravaged by nightmares of tragic romance, warring best friends, and stifling fear. Until finally, Mimicskip comes to her in her dreams to explain the reason for her failure. After this revelation, Raspberryswirl will be sullen and upset, questioning her purpose if she can't be a warrior. Foggymask will enter her life, giving her at first a close friend to lean on, and eventually an avenue to find her purpose. She will have the kits of Foggymask and discover her love of motherhood and caring for young.
And I might try to make her a forever queen we'll see...
VARIATIONS
Although [MOTHER] must be a Shadowclan cat, [FATHER] and [NEMESIS] can be of any clan or affiliation. I have it written that they were friends, but it is also possible that they enemies from the start. The status of both [MOTHER] and [FATHER] is flexible. [FATHER] can still be alive, but he would be estranged from Raspberryswirl and [MOTHER]. [MOTHER] has to have been alive up until Willowpaw's birth at least, but after that could have passed away. When [NEMESIS] comes to visit Raspberry's dreams, they can be apologetic or spiteful, whichever is preferred. And it would be preferred if [FUTURE MATE] and Raspberryswirl have a friends to lovers arc, but I would also be open to a platonic friend that helps her to have kits.

eek accepted!! yes, a purrk is already active for raspberry, the “bewitched” one. already checked with staff and they said it was okay for a starclan/df cat to have cursed her. and if i remember correctly dead characters are allowed to speak with live ones in their dreams so we wouldn’t have to purchase a purrk for that. i will continue to promote this thread in the hopes of getting a couple more roles filled but either way this is super helpful and in about a month i’ll reach out to you to plan the interaction!

Foggymask is a battle-hardened warrior of ShadowClan. His pale striped fur is criss-crossed with scars from many brutal fights against other Clans. Foggymask's face is set in a permanent scowl, and his voice sounds more like a low growl. Despite being extremely talented in battle and feared by other Clans for his fighting prowess, Foggymask has a softer side that only his closest friends get to see. He enjoys taking short naps in warm patches of sunlight in the camp, but any apprentice that dares disturb his sleep will face the fury of his words, which are sharper than his claws. He’s extremely loyal to Dawnstar and would do anything for her. Foggymask expects the fresh-kill pile to be kept well-stocked at all times. If he finds it empty, he has no qualms about voicing his displeasure loudly until it is replenished. He is extremely territorial and will chase off any cats who dare trespass on ShadowClan’s borders. However, to the few cats he is closest with, Foggymask shows his caring side. He'll spend time with them, laugh and groom them, cheer them up with a smile and a joke. Though he seems like an ill-tempered warrior, Foggymask has a heart of gold for his friends and clanmates that he would protect with his life.

accepted omg!! i love it, their personalities are so different and i think it’ll be awesome. i like the idea of them already being friends, i’ll add him to her relation list as that for now. and in about a month after raspberry talks to mimic we can set up a roleplay where raspberry confesses to foggy and build the slow burn from there!
