[Dark Forest] My Lovely Shadow of Agony - Finder

~ Dark Forest Mentor Finder ~

I still hear him as I sleep, and fear him as I rest
He’s there, he’s here, he breaks the laws of sense
When anxieties come crashing down like hurricanes by the sea,

Why, hello there. This finder is for anybody who owns a Dark Forest Cat who would take pleasure from both educating and tormenting my emotionally troubled ThunderClan apprentice, Rosepaw. Because everybody loves a manipulative Dark Forest Mentor, that is exactly what I am looking for in this cat. They, thanks to their manipulative nature, should have quite an easy time convincing Rosepaw that their only interests are strengthen and improve him so that he is finally worth it by the end of their training sessions. Whatever their true intentions may be, Rosepaw will get them revealed one day, and from the day forward, he will have a strong hatred towards the Dark Forest.

- Important Things to Note -
Currently, Rosepaw is still in the process of trying to confirm the existence of Afterlife figures like StarClan and Dark Forest cats, as he has always believed that, in his own words, “Dead is Dead”, but these beliefs have slowly begun to change as he putts more focus into the lives of cats like leaders and medicine cats, where StarClan plays a big and in-story realistic role. Due to his troubled trust in StarClan and The Dark Forest, Rosepaw will probably have a gigantic freak out when his new Dark Forest Mentor introduces themself. Fortunately, he gets over it, and he is promised strength and training. Another important detail to note is that I would like to see some complexity in their emotional relationship with one another, more than the generic ‘I guilt-shame you into feeling like garbage so that I can train you’. Rosepaw will wind up feeling an unhealthy emotional attachment to this Dark Forest Training that he is receiving, and unfortunately for him, once the Dark Forest Mentor has his trust, they will sort of hold his control over his emotional state in their hands.


- Requirements -
1: They must have and be willing to pass down advanced battle knowledge to Rosepaw, much of which will most likely be violent and bloody, so please be comfortable with gruesome roleplays.
2: It would be preferred that your posts are at least one paragraph long.
3: Rosepaw will show frequent symptoms of disorders like depression, anxiety, and similar mental struggles, so please be comfortable with reading about these types of topics before going through with a plot like this

Just kidding, none. There is no form. Let the creativity flow! It is not first come first serve (unless only one person decides to apply, that is-) and I would prefer that you either explain their personality a bit or offer me a biography. Just so long as your character meets the requirements, I will not be too picky- a dark forest cat is a dark forest cat, I honestly don’t care. Keep in mind, anytime Rose would dream with Thrush, [Treetiger] can appear [with your permission ofc]. Thrush has taken Tree under his wing and sends her to find loners he's spoken with where she's learned the art of torture and venom handling [not something widely known].
→ This can be a really unique dynamic out of the dream world with Tree and Rose since they're in the same clan. When Rose gets his distaste for the DF, he can try to out Treetiger which can cause some serious tension. We can play with that idea further later.

This is being accepted pretty early, but that’s because Weekend only just now realized that he needs to find Rosepaw more interactions before his schedule eats him up. So here we are.

You never fail to create a good character, honestly. Thrush is definitely accepted! I would also be more than happy to have some plot with Treetiger and Rosepaw as well, specifically outside of the dream world. I think their own dynamic might be interesting, as you noted that they are in the same clan, and they would probably pass by one another frequently, being clanmates. I will reach out to you if I have any ideas for plots and things, for sure! Feel free to VM me whenever you’d like them to interact for the first time, I am open any time, and I’m also open for any ideas that you might have! Int he meantime, I’ll be over here brainstorming. ^^
