Weepingpaw stalked onto the wet bark, his scent and fur blending into the humidness. His scenting was as sensitive as a mole's. His earring was as sharp as a rabbit. The Tom scented the bird, there was a tree right beside it, if he jumped just lightly to the right he'd have a good swing. Weepingpaw leapt, landing right beside the bird and snatching it in his paws before he bit used his paw to break it's spine. Also blocking it's throat so it couldn't make a sound. Weepingpaw grabbed his prey and pricked his ears, looking to a trail he scented Willowpaw briefly, murmuring. "Willowpaw was here? When will I see her again? Dang it focus Weeping!" The Tom scolded himself before padding back.

Hollytail watched as Weepingpaw stalked the bird, noting how he avoided the leaves, and continuing to watch him. He watched as he used a wet log to conceal his scent, or at least that's what he thought Weepingpaw was doing. He then watched as he leaped at the bird, and grabbing it with his paws. "Good catch!" he praised when the tom padded back to him.

Weepingpaw aknoladged the praise with a nonchlant flick of his tail. Weepingpaw set down the catch in front of his mentor.

Hollytail took the piece of prey. "Let's catch one more than head back to camp." he mewed.

Weepingpaw nodded. His white eyes looking straight into his mentors as if he could see him. Scenting the air Weepingpaw was unaware of him staring at his mentor unblinkingly. Only then turning his head when he caught a wiff. "I smell a water vole," Weepingpaw mewed, narrowing his eyes which was barely noticable. "Uhm..." Weepingpaw got a bit confused, the water vole's scent was just beyond a patch of berry bushes. "I shouldn't risk it, those are bird berries which cats can't eat." Weepingpaw meowed, glancing at his mentor and defending his nerdy statement with, "My sister is the medicine cat's apprentice Berrypaw." Weepingpaw got a bit akward and then shook out his pelt,"I can maybe go around it but it might see me sense...... y'know I can't see it."

Hollytail looked at Weepingpaw then nodded. "I think you should try, but if you don't end up catching it, it's alright. At least we have this." he mewed. 'Oh and I didn't know that Berrypaw was your sister" he mewed.

Weepingpaw nodded in aknowladgment and crouched, using his dark pelt to his advantage (he'd been told by family his pelt was dark colors). He climbed onto a root of a tree, making a noise on accident Weepingpaw hissed and shot towards the animal, just barely hooking his claws into the creatures fur as he dragged it towards himself to land a nasty blow, snapping it's spine. "Not the cleanest kill" Weepingpaw grumbled.
